Abstract

Behavior of santri worship at Darun Najah Islamic Boarding School PetahunanSumbersuko Lumajang, which lacks religious behavior such as a number of santri who stilldo not pray on time like dawn prayers, do not follow the activities of routine dhikr, do notread the Koran according to the specified schedule and other worship activities, areseparate problems for da'wah which need to be managed systematically through Da'wahmanagement so that they have good worship behavior. This study uses a qualitativemethod with the case study approach. The results of the study show that 1) Theimplementation of preaching management in the Islamic boarding school of Darun NajahPetahunan, Sumbersuko Subdistrict, Lumajang in improving santri worship behavior, iscarried out by planning, organizing, actualizing and overseeing the preaching program ofsantri worship behavior through the study of the yellow book material, the pesantrenculture developed is both mahdla and and ghairu mahdha. By upholding the culture ofta'dzim and polite behavior towards others and seniority created worship behavior on thestudents who not only know the teachings of Islam but also carry out the teachings ofIslam with their own awareness. 2) Supporting factors for the management of Islamicboarding school Darun Najah Petahunan Sumbersuko District Lumajang in improving thebehavior of students of religious worship include factors that desire students who havehimmah (enthusiasm) for learning, the participation of parents, awareness of runningworship services and reciting the mosque, the location of the mosque in front of theboarding school and the caregivers and religious teachers who always provide role modelsand have a good society. While the inhibiting factors are lack of discipline, the effect ofinformation technology development, increasingly negative association, theinconvenience of students to regulations, so that they require the involvement ofstudents, more affirmation of caregivers and better management of funding, increasedintensity of meetings and performance of administrators and caregivers who are closer tostudents to overcome the negative effects of information technology.

Abstract

Da'wah is an activity of invitations, calls, and also the process of influencing someone to change from one condition to another desired condition. This study choses the da'wah of the Prophet Nu to be the subject of its study, due to the length of the da'wah period and the severity of the obstacles faced by the Prophet Nuh. He has a concept of da'wah which is effective and ideal to do, it is explained by Allah in the Qur'an, Surah Nuh. Prophet Nuh had gone through the toughest challenges of his people with great patience. This research focuses on explaining how the concept of da'wah the Prophet Nuh in the book Tafsir Al-Qurtubi by Abu Abdullah Muhammad. This research is also a thematic exegesis research. Therefore, this study was prepared using the thematic interpretation method or maudu'i which was initiated by Abd Al-Hayy Al-Farmawi. The results of this study are an explanation of the interpretation of verses about the concept of the Prophet Nuh, including Surah Hud: 29, Surah Nuh: 1- 3,5,8-9,28. Then the explanation of the concept of da'wah the Prophet Nuh which has three components of da'wah, among others, the method of da'wah, the content of the message and the purpose of the da'wah as well as an explanation of its realization in today's life. Abstract

Covid-19 or Corona pandemic, which has entered Indonesia since the last three months, has changed many of the religious behaviors of Indonesian people who are predominantly Muslim. Starting from praying in congregation at home, Friday prayers at home, Eid prayer at home, changing sentences on some words in the call to prayer to cancel the departure of the pilgrims. This has changed the religious traditions and religious behavior of the community in general. This study uses theoretical conceptions according to Peter L. Berger with the conception of social construction with three components, namely externalization, objectivation and internalization. This study uses a qualitative approach with the aim of uncovering a phenomenon of religious behavior that occurred in the community during the Covid-19. The conclusions in this research are, externally the community made social changes because of information related to the Covid-19 pandemic, both through a task force formed by the government, as well as news that circulated on television and social media. From that, people make objectivation by implicit behavior formation in response to government regulations and news circulating on social media. Internalization is carried out by the public by picking wisdom in every situation that occurs. Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang karakteristik dakwah Nabi Muhammad. Diskusi mengenai dakwah yang penuh perdamaian adalah penting. Apalagi, belakangan ini, marak pemberitaan tentang ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq dan Syria), khususnya tentang isu rencana pemulangan eks ISIS ke Indonesia yang menimbulkan pro dan kontra di antara beberapa kalangan. Kendatipun pada akhirnya pemerintah memutuskan untuk tidak memulangkan eks ISIS lintas negara kembali ke Indonesia, namun hal ini sangat mengancam keamanan dan menimbulkan keresahan dan kekhawatiran di tengah masyarakat. Nabi Muhammad adalah teladan bagi para dai dalam menyebarkan nilai-nilai Islam yang rahmatan lil alamin, dengan penuh kegigihan, rendah hati, dan kesabaran. Dakwah dengan penyampaian yang lemah lembut, dan ramah terhadap realitas sosial yang ada, merupakan ajaran Nabi yang berpijak pada wahyu Allah. Oleh karena itu, para pendakwah tidak hanya dituntut mempelajari sumber-sumber ajaran Ialam, tetapi juga harus memahaminya secara komprehensif melalui berbagai disiplin ilmu yang kemudian diintegrasikan dengan karakter dan kondisi sosial masyarakat. Jika dakwah disampaikan dengan cara anarkis atau kasar, hal itu menunjukkan bahwa minimnya pengetahuan dan penghayatan tentang ajaran Islam. Karena sejatinya tidak ada satu agama pun di dunia ini yang melegalkan atau mengajarkan tindakan anarkis. Agama Islam justru menjadi sumber utama inspirasi kebahagiaan dan kedamaian.

Abstract

This article discusses da'wah activism which is expressed in the midst of the convergence of digital media as a religious phenomenon. Da'wah activism is part of a religious activity that is an obligation for a Muslim, however, the display of da'wah messages expressed in the midst of the convergence of digital media does not only show it as a religious activity, but in appearance it also has the opportunity as a tool for political and ideological interests. In fact, Islam wants the da'wah to be carried out in the context of calling for goodness and preventing evil as the teachings of Islam. The method used in this study is to use a virtual ethnographic approach that focuses on artifacts, and digital traces related to da'wah messages displayed through cyber media. Furthermore, in order to understand religious phenomena that are expressed in the digital space, this study uses the concept of da'wah and cyber media as a choice of perspective, the aim is to be able to answer the question of how cyber da'wah activism is carried out by religious communities in the midst of digital media convergence. So it can be concluded that cyber da'wah activism, in addition to calling for good and preventing evil, turns out to be in its display of da'wah also depicts other interests such as political and ideological interests hidden behind da'wah messages displayed through digital media.Keywords : Da'wah Activism, Convergence, Digital Media

Abstract

The study of Sultan Agung's da'wah strategy is a study to reveal historical facts that occurred in the past to be used as a guide in achieving a better future. Given that the glory of Mataram was in the power of Sultan Agung who led Mataram from 1613 to 1645. The theoretical framework used in this study is discourse analysis which is used as a knife to analyze Sultan Agung's da'wah strategies. Discourse analysis which is used as a theoretical framework uses the concept of Van Dick (1968). While the da'wah strategy referred to is the method of da'wah in general, namely the da'wah bil hal, the dakwah bil lisan, and the dakwah bil qalam This research resulted in the first findings that Sultan Agung's da'wah strategy was carried out with three oral da'wah strategies, carried out by Sultan Agung as seen in Sultan Agung's negotiations in expanding the power of Islamic Mataram at that time with neighboring kingdoms or countries. Da'wah bil Qalam, was done with phenomenal works, namely literary gending and astronomical works of the Kejawen calendar. Da'wah bilhal, that the personality of Sultan Agung is a personality that is gentle but firm in making decisions as the king has given uswah to his people. The second conclusion is that in social cognition, a king must have strength both physically, psychologically and mystically. In the social context, Sultan Agung's leadership is always colored by cultures that have always been developed by Sultan Agung, which is then carried out an acculturation of indigenous culture with Islamic culture. Abstract

Religious activities in the village of Kalidilem are already running but there are still some residents, especially teenagers, who get drunk and promiscuity. To overcome this problem a Kampung Qur’an program is formed. Kampung Qur'an is one of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU, Islamic Organization) Lumajang programs that synergizes with JQH in the form of a missionary institution tasked with spreading the message of da'wah with the Qur'an. The village of the Qur'an was fully surrendered to the NU Autonomous Agency in charge of al-Qur'an. In the process of da'wah an important thing to consider is the da'wah strategy. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The conclusion of this study is the da'wah strategy used by the Qur'an Village there are 5 namely: 1) Sentimental strategy: conducting regular recitation, giving advice with good words, such as calling mad'u as "O my brothers, O my children" . 2) Rational strategy: invite people to discuss together. 3) Sensory Strategy: direct the practice of worship. 4) Ta'lim strategy: holding al-Qur'an illiteracy eradication program, development of tahfidzul quran, qiro'atul quran, art of calligraphy, organizing majlis of Qur'an interpretation and interpreneur of the Qur'an. 5) emulate the Prophet's strategy. The inhibiting factor of the preaching strategy of Kampung Qur'an is the lack of capable human resources in the field of al-Qur'an studies, understanding community psychology and having metacognitive abilities and philosophical thinking. Abstract

The research entitled " THE KPI POLICY IN THE TELEVISION INDUSTRY (Case Study of KPI Policy on Content of Television Broadcasting Program Ramadhan Edition)" is motivated by the lack of maximum role of the government in creating situations and conditions conducive to worship in the month of Ramadan, especially in the realm of television media broadcasting the Ramadan edition)". The concrete form is that some of the da'wah programs on television present more shows than guidance, some deviate to the point of lacking in everyday examples. Whereas television, if seen from the perspective of da'wah, can be said to be an effective da'wah media. And the role of government here is institutionally represented by KPI (Indonesian Broadcasting Commission). This study aims to find out exactly how the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission's policies towards television media content, especially during the month of Ramadan. Because of KPI's findings, found violations committed by television media are a repetition of previous years. This research is a qualitative study using policy analysis as a methodology for analyzing KPI policies, which includes collecting data from online news, the Broadcasting Law, KPI's official website and MUI statement, and then analyzing the findings. The results show that if theoretically, the policies issued by KPI institutions are legally strong and must be obeyed by all parties related to KPI institutions. But in reality there are still those who have not yet implemented it. And when related to the theories above, the factors that cause implementation to fail are due to factors such as the selection of the wrong strategy, or the wrong "machine" or "instrument"; "Programming" bureaucracy is wrong; the operation operation is bad; there is something wrong at the "executive level"; or a bad response to a problem. From these factors, it could be that the factors within the KPI are the poor level of implementing policies. The lack of strict sanctions provided, so that KPI institutions do not have the authority in the eyes of media stakeholders. And can also be bad bureaucratic instruments.

Abstract

The Madurese people are described as very religious. Many of the cultural attributes reflect Islamic values. Islam has existed since the 15th century and has influenced various aspects of culture, one of which is Madurese batik. The existence of Islam in Madura has influenced the Tanjungbumi batik motif. Although Tanjungbumi Batik has a characteristic use of plant and animal characters, However Islamic elements are reflected in the motifs. So it is interesting to study in order to determine the influence of Islam in the Tanjungbumi batik motif. Although there have been many studies on Madurese batik, there has been little discussion about the patterns of batik motifs. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method through observation, literature study, and interviews with resource persons. Charles Sanders Peirce's visual semiotic analysis is used to study the object of research. Then conclusions are drawn based on data analysis. Abstract

In the pesantren tradition, whom inherited from the founder of the pesantren to the children and grandchildren are the most eligible decendant . The succession line of relatives under the Kyai who have a young age is pinned as Gus for men and Ning for women. They are a small picture of the behavior of Kyai and the pesantren extended family. The digital age is fostering new roles from new people about a propaganda practice that can break through space and time. The Gus and Ning who occupy the new space maximize the use of social media as kind a step to preach. The new pattern of Da'wah nowadays is very fluid by using artifacts and text from self profiles in the form of audio, images, photos, videos, and writing content. The text is uploaded on their accounts pages periodically and with current typologies. Their existence in a social media Instagram has a different style, modernist and bringing a newness. Visual semiotics is a new way of communicating via technology to the reader (reader) or audience by putting forward text-shaped signs that are verbal (language) and visual. Communication through this sign is presented with a design that contains icons that refer to linguistic messages. Various approaches to preaching communication in a new era, one of them with semiotic visuals on Instagram unlocks visual visions embedded in the icons displayed. All the pictures, photos, and caption notes created by the Gus in their accounts deserve to be elaborated in the context of da'wah in the digital age. Using a purposive sampling technique with a Semiotic Visual analysis, the results show that the variety of sign visualizations on Gus's Instagram account profile means a call for preaching and moral messages in a subtle, dynamic, and open ways.
