Jurnal Citradirga adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Desain Komunikasi Visual Universitas Ma Chung. Citradirga mempublikasikan artikel luaran penelitian, gagasan konseptual, dan review kepustakaan dalam cakupan rumpun ilmu seni, desain, dan media, pada 1) Sub Rumpun Ilmu Kesenian, dalam Bidang Ilmu Seni Intermedia (688), 2) Sub Rumpun Ilmu Media, dalam Bidang Ilmu : a) Fotografi (701); dan b) Televisi/Videografi/Sinematografi (702); serta 3) Sub Rumpun Ilmu Desain, dalam Bidang Ilmu Desain Komunikasi Visual (708). Artikel luaran penelitian dapat berupa ringkasan hasil penelitian dasar (kajian, kritik, tinjauan, atau evaluasi), penelitian terapan (perancangan atau penciptaan), dan peneltian pengembangan (research & development), baik yang bersifat monodisipliner maupun interdisipliner. Dalam Bidang Ilmu Seni Intermedia dapat terbagi menjadi beberapa topik semisal Seni Video, Instalasi Video, dan topik lain yang mengeksplorasi dan mengintegrasikan seni visual dan teknologi. Dalam Ilmu Media, dapat berupa topik seperti Fotografi, Videografi, Film Fiksi maupun Dokumenter, dan topik lain yang berkaitan dengan Foto dan Video. Adapun dalam Bidang Ilmu Desain Komunikasi Visual dapat berupa topik seperti Desain Grafis, Infografis, Brand Identity, Ilustrasi, Desain Kemasan, Multimedia Interaktif, Animasi, Game Design, Apps Design, dan topik lain yang berkaitan dengan komunikasi visual.

Abstract

Anxiety is common, but long-standing and excessive reaction can lead to psychological disorders such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder. GAD Sufferers can feel fear and anxiety about things that are not specific object or situations. According to the ministry of Health, symptoms of excessive anxiety are felt by the age of 15 years and over, especially for students. To raise public awareness was made a short film titeled “In My Mind: Generalized Anxiety Disorder”. In the production prosses has 4 stages namely, data analysis, pre-production, production, post-production. In some scenes use the P.O.V technique using SnorriCam as a shooting tool to emphasize the emotions of the main character. The P.O.V echnique using SnorriCam is considered successful in conveying the main character emotions better and easily understood by the audience. In the production of this film there are 19 scene with a duration of approximately 15 minutes. The film is supported by various film support elements, including movie poster, brochure, DVD cover design, key chain, mugs, pins, tote bags, t-shirt, movie trailer, and x-banner.

Abstract

Family is required for children’s character building, since they are the next generation of this world. However, many families nowadays failed in performing their task, indicated by the increasing numbers of marriage divorce in Indonesia. It has impacts drives them lonely, frustated, and depressed, leads them to do harmful things. Self-awareness is needed to solve this internal problem. Thus, the effective and efficient learning media of single parent family education is created in digital comics form, which will be published in LINE Webtoon. Synectics exploration method is applied, by receiving some written and verbal ideas to construct the visual appearance and Scrambled Egg’s storyline. Therefore, the writer designed Scrambled Egg comics that contains the five episodes of slice of life story about adolescent conflicts under broken home family, published once a week in LINE Webtoon. It is drawn in bishoujo (girly) style and written in Bahasa, improved with Malang dialect.

Abstract

One of the artifacts in Gresik is Damar Kurung. Damar Kurung is a typical Gresik lantern art that can be found during Ramadan. However, the phenomenon of malaise culture resulted in a lack of knowledge and passive act for the younger generation to support the existence of local culture. For this reason, there are appropriate alternative media to introduce Damar Kurung, one of them is animation video. The method used is a qualitative method. Qualitative data is obtained through observation, interviews, and literature studies. Damar Kurung's animated video entitled "There is Light in Gresik" uses a naïve art style with 9 minutes 5 seconds frame by frame technique.

Abstract

Brand is one important aspect for a business. Brand can be used as differentiation and also as the identity of the business. This make their business famous and people know about their business. One business that is growing in Malang is Es KTT. The writer see some problem that Es KTT deals that is Es KTT doesn’t have strong branding, so many people still don’t know about it and it doesn’t have maximum development. So this design brand and identity made with qualitative method. The data analyzed using SWOT, combined with brand roadmap method by Mike Moser. Then using cyclic strategy, and all of it resulted brand visualitation concept and the identity in the form of logo and the use of it in any media that Es KTT need, so Es KTT can attract people’s attention and interest. The result of this research has been surveyed to 50 people and they said they are satisfied with the result.

Abstract

Batak Toba is one of the Indonesian cultures that must be preserved. However, the Batak Toba culture has been forgotten by the younger generation, both Bataknese and non-Bataknese descendants. Many of the Batak Toba descendants, especially those who migrate, have left and forgotten their customs so that they do not know and cannot practice their own culture. Plus in this day and age many young Indonesians prefer foreign cultures rather than their own culture. Therefore, the right media to introduce Batak Toba culture is an animated video, because animation is popular and becoming a trend, as seen from the many animations that are popping up on social media today. In designing the introduction of Batak Toba culture, the method used is descriptive qualitative method. The data are obtained through literature studies, interviews and documentation. Animated video introduction of Batak Toba culture entitled "Boru Hasian" with visual vector, 2D, ± 2 minutes long. The animation "Boru Hasian" was then published on Instagram and Youtube social media.

Abstract

Based on research, Indonesians have a low interest in reading books and there is still a representation of the Chinese generation's culture and also reducing the lessons of character toward children, so theres a need for Chinese folklore story book. The used story is "Princess Meng Jiang" from Zuo's Interpretation set in Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC). This research method uses qualitative methods and Narrative Qualitative research strategies, so as to produce a picture of a story book that introduces the culture and history of the future state of the Qin Dynasty. The design story has the aim to visualized the legendary story of "Princess Meng Jiang" in the form of story books accompanied by minigames and infographic videos, so that children are not involved in reading alone, but also increase knowledge. The design is accompanied by supporting media such as video teasers, Instagram Feeds, infographic videos, posters, flyers, emoji stickers, Instagram filters and merchandise like mugs and bookmarks.

Abstract

Indonesia has an abundance of cultural diversity and historical heritage, one of which is cetho temple. This temple has an architecture similiar to the mayan buildings in mexico. The statues in this temple are not similar to the Javanese but are more similiar to the Sumerians. The andesite material used in Cetho Temple is different from the Hindu temple is different from the Hindu temples in the Majapahit kingdom which at that time were built using red bricks. The solution offered in this research is the creation of a feature video as a medium of information about the facts of syncretism found in the cetho temple. Cetho temple was built inthe period after the Hindu-Buddhist influence until the end of the adherents’ period. So that the architecture of the Cetho temple is still mixed with Hindu-Buddhist culture and also the local culture of the surrounding community. The selected sources are also in accordance with this research. Based on the questionnaire, the results of this study indicate that the public is able to understand the information from this feature video. This feature video has been well received by the public.

Abstract

Bobo Magazine is a special magazine for legendary children in Indonesia. The cover of Bobo Magazine has a strong appeal and character so that it is easily recognized by readers. This study aims to find out in more detail about visual design standards including illustrations, colors, typography, and cover layouts for the 2015 Special Edition of Bobo Magazine. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that on the cover of the 2015 special edition of Bobo magazine, digital illustrations were used with the character of a rabbit personified as a human form. The typography used is Fantasy and San Serif fonts. The colors presented are classified as full color, striking, bright and not gloomy. The layout is positioned asymmetrically but still applies the principles of unity, balance, rhythm, and emphasis. The conclusion of this study is that Bobo has a characteristic in the form of an illustration of a rabbit personified as a human named Bobo who is the main character in each edition. In addition, other characteristics include the shape of the logo/nameplate, the same font in each edition except for the headline. The slogan "Friends to Play and Learn" is also a characteristic found in Bobo Magazine. The colors used are also in accordance with the age of the children who like colorful, striking and bright colors.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media is widely used in marketing media on Instagram. This media is considered more effective because it is always seen by everyone and the dissemination of information is faster at a lower price. This media was chosen by Nagoya Barbershop to develop its business amidst competitors' competition. The method used in this study is Siyoto's qualitative 2015 which can search for more in-depth data. In this study, the analyzed data resulted in 9 types of barbershop content consisting of haircuts, vibes, steal hairstyles, tips, barbershop services, promos, qna, products, and holiday greetings which are complete with Instagram Stories and Reels which are regulated in the GSM book. This book sets a template that will be applied to 9 contents and is mandatory. In addition, there are other media that can support marketing media such as hair capes, outer kimonos, and vouchers.

Abstract

Beauty is one of important factors that affects the life of every woman. In Indonesia, more than 90% of Indonesian women say that beauty has a big effect on their lives, such as social life, work, popularity, and also the chance to attract others. Beauty standards are always changing every decades to fit the new public taste of the majority, and beauty standards in Indonesia isn’t an exception. Therefore, a motion graphic video design was made to educate the public, especially women in Indonesia, to understand deeply about beauty standards and always participate in maintaining Indonesian beauty.
