Abstract

Schools, teachers, colleges, and education in general, are integral parts of each other. Education should not turn a blind eye to the intolerant view that now adorns social media, screen, even print media. Educational institutions should be able to reaffirm the values ??of tolerance to keep education quality and not hindered issues of racism. The face of learning in education, especially in college must maintain the diversity that becomes the foundation of pluralism full of life. Education tolerance should be re-strived stronger, more attached. Teachers must be responsive and not to be eclectic and neither do they tackle the issue of this epidemic. The nature of racism is not a human nature. For that the spread is very likely destroyed. The practice of intolerance in the education line has been addressed wisely. One of them is by reviving the spirit of tolerance education in harmony with the education of multiculturalism. If these intolerant and racism behaviors deepen into the world of education, the graduates produced will not be able to form a characterized person as mandated in the Pancasila and the Constitution. So what should be hastened to counter intolerance at schools, universities and educational institutions so that the quality of education and resources will not be disturbed and remain qualified? Education can?t be separated from social turmoil in society. This will have a direct impact, especially on the character of the students. For this reason, the planting of tolerance values ??in important college learning is revived to prevent intolerant practices in education, especially in universities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look at the category of Balinese culture terms in English media tourism promotion in Denpasar City, and the purpose of using the term in tourism promotion media published by the Tourism Department of Denpasar City. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method where the data studied are words and phrases about the term Balinese culture. Qualitative methods produce descriptive data both in the form of written and verbal expressions of the people and behaviors observed. The results of the data analysis are presented with informal methods where the results of the data analysis are presented using word threads, sentences, and technical terms to formulate and describe any research issues. From the results of research there are 3 types of categories of Balinese culture, namely the category of material culture, the category of social culture, and the category of tradition and concept. While the purpose of the Tourism Department of Denpasar City uses the term Balinese culture in the promotion media of English-language tourism in Denpasar is to preserve Bali culture and introduce Bali culture abroad.

Abstract

The main purpose of this  study were to find out the influence of discipline, motivation and competence to ward?s teacher?s action  in Nusa Dua vocational School. There were three free variables in this study. They were discipline (X1), motivation (X2) and competence (X3). More over, there was  bound  variable called teacher?s action (Y). The score of t score  for disciplene variable in this study was 6.515 with its significanly level was 0.000  more than t table which was  2.042 it showed  that  there was  a H0refusal and Ha acceptance which  means there was a significanly influence of motivation variable to teacher?s action. The score of t score for teacher?s competence(X3) in this study was 7.322 with its significanly level was 0.000 which was more than t table 2.042. it showed that there was a H0 refusal and a Ha acceptance which means there was a significant influence of teacher?s competence variable to ward teacher?s action variable. The calculation of double linier regression pooduced Fscore which was 143.104 and the F table was 3.32. It was a proof that Fscore was more than F table.It showed HO was rejected and Ha was aceptea in significancy level of 0.000 it means there was a significant influence between free variables and bound variable simultanionsly. The competence variable influenced dominantly to wards teachers action in Nusa Dua Toya Anyar Vocational school.The beta score of competence variable was 0.750 which was the most beta score.

Abstract

The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection is obtained from information, places and activities of principal leadership activities, as well as documents. Techniques of collecting data include in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document records. Data validity test is done by applying source triangulation, and triangulation method. Data analysis techniques in the form of interactive analysis techniques that reduce data, present data, interpret and draw conclusions. Principal of SD Negeri No 3 Kuwum, Mengwi Sub-district, Badung Regency in carrying out his leadership has performed his role and function as an educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and motivator well. In addition, Principal of SD Negeri No 3 Kuwum, in making decision and policy making involving many parties such as teachers, staff and school committee, conducting continuous guidance, can cooperate and support each other in achieving school goals and always coordinate with existing stakeholders, so that the existing constraints do not interfere with the course of the school program created.

Abstract

This research has an objective to improve the teaching of Indonesian language and literature, and to improve students' poetry reading skill of class XII AP 2 SMK Nusa Dua Badung in lesson 2014/2015 through contextual approach (CTL). The results of this study is the ability of students of class XII AP 2 SMK Nusa Dua Badung in reading poetry is very good. It is evident from the average value obtained by students have increased from each cycle. In cycle I the average of students is 70.71%. In cycle II the average score of students' poetry reading ability increased to 82.28%.

Abstract

In relation with the effort to establish and develop the language in Nusa Tenggara Timur region especially in Alor Country, it need deep observation on language phenomena, especially about syllable pattern. The observation analyses one of the local languages in Alor country firstly Alores language that is also called Alurung language, located in Kepala Burung seasone. Based on the clarification of spreading area and the scope of speaker. The Alores language is the biggest language in Alor island.                 The vocabularies that are analysed use a list of 200 vocabularies of Swadesh with the word pattern having one word syllable two word syllables, three word syllables, and four word syllables.The pattern of syllable of Alores language are one syllable, two syllables, three syllables, and four syllable. Words with one syllable having pattern CVC are found the most used firstly 18 lexicons. Word having two syllable with the pattern CVCV are 58 lexicon, are the most used compared to the other syllable patterns. Words having three syllables with the pattern CVCVCV are found the most used, firstly 12 lexicon. Words having four syllable with the pattern CVCVCVCV, VCVCCVVV, VCVCVCVC, and VCVCVV are found one lexicon each.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of observation on caricature to improve the ability to write opinion class XII IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Selemadeg; (2) to know the steps taken by observation on caricature in improving the writing skill of class XII IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Selemadeg; (3) to find out the student's response about observing caricatures to improve the ability to write opinions. The research method used in this research is classroom action research. The results of this study were There are 11 students (32.35%) answered hesitant to the second statement that is about the observation of the caricature can facilitate students in writing opinions. Eighteen students (52.94%) answered agree while 4 students (11.76%) answered strongly that observation on caricature can make it easier to write an opinion. The majority of students, 24 students (70.59%) answered agreeably to the third question that observation of caricatures can give students a topic in opinion writing. In addition, there are also 7 students (20.59%) answered hesitantly, 2 students (5.88%) answered strongly agree to the statement. Against the fourth statement of observation on caricatures can assist students in making arguments in favor of statements, there are 17 students (50%) answered agreeing by observing caricatures can assist students in making arguments in favor of statements.

Abstract

Peranan media dalam proses belajar mengajar sangat besar sekali. Pada pembelajaran jenis deskriptif, media yang sangat mudah dipakai adalah gambar. Gambar dapat mewakili berbagai macam objek yang diperlukan sesuai tema yang diajarkan. Disamping itu penggunaanya juga bisa bervariasi sesuai model pembelajaran yang diinginkan. Pembelajaran jenis teks diskriptif di SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan dari tahun ke tahun hasilnya kurang memuaskan. Pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018 semester ganjil pola pembelajarannya dikembangkan dengan menggunakan media kartu bergambar untuk pembelajaran teks deskriptif Subjek  yang diuji adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan dengan lama penelitian satu semester dalam tiga siklus. Hasilyang diperoleh cukup memuaskan. Hal ini ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan kualitas hasil tulisan siswa dalam menyusun teks deskriptif. Rata-rata peningkatan kualitas tulisan siswa mencapai 25 % dibandingkan dengan sebelum diberi tindakan. Untuk keaktifan siswa juga menunjukan kenaikan sebesar 50%. Dari hasil angket yang diberikan pada siswa setelah akhir siklus 80% siswa merasa senang dengan pola pembelajaran ini.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the impact of application of co­operative model table round and of problem posing to improving students? achievement. This reascarch is classroom action research and it is planned in 2 cycle, every cycle involve 4 steps i.e, plan phase,action phase, observation phase, and phase of reflection. This Research Subyek is all of student of X MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan. Data was collected by tes, observation, field note, and documentation method. Pursuant to result of this research, usage of model of round and table of problem posing can improve result learn class student of X MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan.

Abstract

Artikel ini berbicara tentang konflik sosial yang menjadi permasalahan klasik masyarakat di Bali akibat kuatnya hegemoni sistem stratifikasi sosial dalam cerpen KKDBB karya Rasta Sindhu.Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam artikel ini adalah potret tirani dalam praktik sosiokultural di Bali, sikap serta resistensi pengarang terhadap tindakan tirani dalam praktik sosiokultural di Bali pada cerpen KKDBB karya Nyoman Rasta Sindhu.Pada perspektif ini secara sosiokultural akan dapat ditelusuri sikap yang ditunjukkan oleh Rasta Sindhu dalam upaya menciptakan linieritas pemahaman kepada masyarakat dalam menyikapi permasalahan tindakan tirani yang terlahir akibat sistem kasta di Bali. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan/ studi sosiokultural dalam membedah dan menganalisis cerpen KKDBB karya Rasta Sindhu.Studi multidisiplin ini dibangun atas dasar kompetensi sastra dan kebudayaan. Dalam hal ini, penulis bertindak sebagai instrument kunci/ human instrument dalam menafsirkan dan menginterpretasikan data.Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa potret tirani dalam praktik sosiokultural di Bali pada cerpen KKDBB tergambar dalam tindakan sewenang-wenang tokoh ayah yang mengeliminasi Gung De Lila dari keluarga puri. Tindakan ini terlahir dari akibat penilaian subjektivitas tokoh ayah yang menganggap pilihan Gung De Lila menikahi perempuan sudra adalah bentuk pembangkangan terhadap kehormatan keluarga. Sikap dan resistensi pengarang terhadap tindakan tirani dalam praktik sosiokultural di Bali pada cerpen KKDBB direpresentasikan melalui konsistensisikap tokoh Gung De Lila.
