Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of biologylearning media based Panca Yadnya religious ceremony in delivering students competent in the field of biology. The research method used is quasi-experiment research method, with the design of Non-equivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The experimental group was given treatment with the learning media based on based Panca Yadnya religious ceremony. The control group was given the treatment of learning media in biology texbooks. After the treatment, a post-test was conducted on each group with the same instrument. The research was conducted in the neighborhood of Kukuh Village and in the Secondary School 2 Marga. The sample in this research is the students of class VII A as the experimental class and the students of class VII B as the control class. The data collected in the form of data achievement learning science biology of students. Data were collected by written test. The data obtained are then analyzed descriptively and t-test statistic. All tests were conducted with significance of 0.05. T-test is done with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 23. The results show that the biology learning media based Panca Yadnya religious ceremony very effective in delivering students competent in the field of biology. This conclusion is based on the significant difference in the mean score of students' achievement in biology of the experimental group that is superior to the control group students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent of customer satisfaction with the quality of customer service. This research method uses Expost Facto, research carried out after the event occurred. This research was carried out at Swalayan Ayu Nadi, which addressed at Jalan Tukad Batanghari, Dauh Puri Klod, West Denpasar. This study will involve 100 respondents, namely consumers who carry out questionnaires in the supermarket Ayu Nadi Panjer. Retail business competition is growing rapidly. Business owners must think of the right marketing strategy to attract customers. Retail business owner Ayu Nadi has taken care of the cleanliness of the area outside and inside the supermarket. Disadvantages that need to be corrected are the attributes contained in Quadrant A. Quadrant A is an attribute that needs to be considered by the company to keep its customers loyal to shop at their company. Placement of product positions and other infrastructure must be a particular concern for retail business owners given the growing number of retail companies. Improvement that needs to be done is the problem of inadequate landfill conditions. Retail business owners must pay attention to the problem of the position of the placement of bins, considering that retail business owners provide land for rest areas. This improvement must be done continuously in order to improve services to make consumers loyal to the products and services provided by business owners.

Abstract

The article, entitled Analysis of the Language Style of Cosmetics Advertisements and Indonesian Language Drugs in Print Mass Media in Bali, aims to discuss the problem of how the assignment of each sentence in cosmetics advertisements and drugs in Indonesian on the print mass media specifically on commercial advertisements (commercial) , covering what kind of language style is used? In addition, it aims to contribute to the development, preservation and development of the Indonesian language. This paper uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was carried out using the literature review method. Methods and techniques for Presentation of Analysis Results, use formal and informal methods. Based on the analysis results found six kinds of language styles, namely (1) Climax, (2) Repetition, (3) Hyperbole, (4) Personification, (5) Epithet, and (6) Equation or Semile. This paper uses the theory of persuasive functions. The theory of the persuasive function of language is the theory used and it is possible to answer the problem in advertising as a discourse that cannot be separated from its main purpose, namely selling. The main function is predominantly utilized to support the main function of advertising, namely the persuasive function of language as already alluded to implicitly by some advertising researchers (see Hoed, 1992: 5; Leech, 1966: 26; Kasali, 1992: 9; Cook, 1992: 5; Asmah, 1984: 3). In this paper, two views are expressed regarding the theory of language functions, including Jakobson (1963) and Leech (1974). Jacobson's view (1963; in Welaga, 2000: 37-38) stated six kinds of language functions and included persuasive language functions with the term conative function as an expression of the wishes of the speaker directly or immediately carried out by the listener. In this case, language is used to indicate the involvement of the recipient's attention, and also to influence to do what the sender of the message suggests. The conative function is mainly characterized by the use of the pronouns "you" or "you all", and the use of command sentence forms. Noth (1990: 421) in his book Handbook of Semiotics also emphasizes that the six language functions that Jakobson conveys in the communication model are in advertisements. However, the conative function has more roles. Furthermore, it is said that the function of the phatic (phatic) as opening, maintaining relationships or contacts between speakers and listeners and the poetic function (phoetic) as encoding the message is also very prominent in advertising.

Abstract

This study aimed at (1) finding out the difference in the level of emotional intelligence between the senior high school students who came from the extended family structure and those who came from the core family structure in Bandung regency. (2) finding out the difference in the level of emotional intelligence between the senior high school students in Badung regency who came from the extended family structure and those who came from the core family structure with both types of the families had an accepting attitude. (3) finding out the difference in the level of emotional intelligence between the senior high school students in Badung regency who came from the extended family structure and those who came from the core fsmily structure in which both types of family structure had a rejecting attitude. This study was conducted to the senior high school students in Badung regency and used an ex post facto research method with 2x2 factorial design which involved a sample of 395 students taken by a technique which combined probability and non-probability sampling or multi stage purposive random sampling. The independent variables in this study were family structure and child rearing  pattern. Each of the independent variables were divided into two,i.e., family structure  was split into extended family structure and core family structure, whereas child  rearing  pattern was split into child rearing pattern in which the parents had an accepting  attitude and child rearing pattern in which the parents had a rejecting attitude. The dependent variable was level of emotional intelligence. The study used questionnaires as the instruments to collect data, i.e., emotional intelligence questionnaire, family structure questionnaire and child rearing  pattern questionnaire. The data were analyzed by two-way ANOVA with Scheffe test.          The result shows thet (1) there was a difference in the level of emotional intelligence when it was viewed from the extended family structure and when it was viewed from the core family structure, (2) the was a difference in the level of emotional intelligence between the studets whose parents had an accepting attitude and those whose had a rejecting attitude both in the extended and core family structure and (3) there was a difference in the level of emotional intelligence between the students whose parents had a rejecting attitude and those whose parents both in the extended and core family stuctures.          The conclusion thet can be made from this study is that an extended family structure can increase a student,s emotional intelligence. In order to get a maximum result the child rearing patterns has to be considered in a family structure.

Abstract

Peranan media dalam proses belajar mengajar sangat besar sekali. Pada pembelajaran jenis deskriptif, media yang sangat mudah dipakai adalah gambar. Gambar dapat mewakili berbagai macam objek yang diperlukan sesuai tema yang diajarkan. Disamping itu penggunaanya juga bisa bervariasi sesuai model pembelajaran yang diinginkan. Pembelajaran jenis teks diskriptif di SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan dari tahun ke tahun hasilnya kurang memuaskan. Pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018 semester ganjil pola pembelajarannya dikembangkan dengan menggunakan media kartu bergambar untuk pembelajaran teks deskriptif Subjek  yang diuji adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan dengan lama penelitian satu semester dalam tiga siklus. Hasilyang diperoleh cukup memuaskan. Hal ini ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan kualitas hasil tulisan siswa dalam menyusun teks deskriptif. Rata-rata peningkatan kualitas tulisan siswa mencapai 25 % dibandingkan dengan sebelum diberi tindakan. Untuk keaktifan siswa juga menunjukan kenaikan sebesar 50%. Dari hasil angket yang diberikan pada siswa setelah akhir siklus 80% siswa merasa senang dengan pola pembelajaran ini.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the focus group discussion method can improve the ability of PKN, Sociology, Economics and Natural Sciences teachers in Kerambitan 1 High School, Kerambitan District in preparing the Syllabus and Characterized Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). This type of research is a school action research (PTS) which consists of 2 (two) cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: action planning, action implementation, observation and data collection, and reflection. The subjects of the study were PKN, Sociology, Economics and Natural Sciences teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan, totaling 16 people consisting of 7 IPS group teachers and 9 science teachers. Data about the ability of MIPA teachers to compile syllabi and lesson plans was collected by the document study method. Then the data were analyzed descriptively. The results obtained from this study stated that: 1) the initial acquisition value of the syllabus was 62.56 with less categories at the beginning of Cycle I, increasing to 64.13 with enough categories at the end of Cycle I and being 71.63 with enough categories at the end of the Cycle II. 2) The initial ability to compile the RPP obtained a value of 61.81 with a less category, to 70.00 with enough categories at the end of Cycle 1 and to 73.00 with enough categories at the end of cycle II. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the focus group discussion method can improve the ability of MIPA teachers in Kerambitan 1 High School in preparing the Character Syllabus and Learning Implementation Plan (RPP).

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the effectiveness of learning method with Troubleshooting against Accounting based to the learning achievement of student Grade XII IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan in the academic year 2016/2017. Students who were being the research subject have low understanding to the basic concepts of card managing of fixed assets in the Accounting subject which is marked by low activities, enthusiasm, and courage in expressing their ideas. The action is designed in two cycles; each cycle is done in one month. At the end of each cycle, the action carried out subsequent monitoring and evaluation of the results which is then reflected for the next cycle planning. The monitoring is done by using observation method, interview and test students understanding of the basic concepts of card managing of fixed assets in the accounting subject. After being given a lesson by using problem solving based learning method, students who do not understand the basic concept of card Managing of fixed assets shows a deeper understanding of the basic concepts of card managing offixed assets in Accounting subjects. Based on the evaluation results, it can be seen that in the first cycle there is an increase of student ability in mastering the basic concepts of card managing offixed assets in Accounting subject with the increase of students average scores of initial learning achievement of 59.40 to 68.72 with the percentage of mastery card managing of fixed assets in accounting subjects for 15.69%. Thus, the average percentage increases in the level of learning achievement in accounting before and after the first cycle of 29.61%. Meanwhile, after being given the action on the second cycle in the form of problem-solving techniques, the average score of students' achievement increases from 68.72 to 78.48 with the increas percentage of mastery card managing offixed assets in accounting subject for 13.92% this the increase of average percentage in the mastery card managing concepts of fixed assets in accounting subjects between cycle I and after cycle II is 29.61% (15.69% in the first cycle and the second cycle is 13.92%).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how high an increase in student learning achievement after applied Problem Based Learning learning models in geography learning. This research was carried out in the 7th Public High School in Denpasar in Class X IPS with the ability of students to study lithosphere dynamics and their impact on life is quite low. The data collection method is a learning achievement test. The data analysis method is descriptive both for qualitative data and for quantitative data.       The results obtained from this study are Problem Based Learning can improve student learning achievement. This is evident from the results obtained initially reaching an average value of 69.58 in the first cycle reaching an average value of 75.86 in the second cycle. The Problem Based Learning model can provide answers according to the purpose of this study. So the Problem Based Learning model is very effective applied in the learning process which results in active, enthusiastic and able students to understand the material being taught so that student learning achievement becomes increased

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) identify and describe Cinta Bahasa language school?s BIPA students learning motivation. 2) identify and describe the basic sentences structure?s error in the text made by BIPA students in Cinta Bahasa Language School. 3) identify and describe the relationship between learning motivation and basic sentences structure?s error in the text made by BIPA students in Cinta Bahasa Indonesian Language School. This research used qualitative descriptive proposal research. The subject of this research was BIPA student in Cinta Bahasa Indonesian Language School. The method used in collecting data was questionnaire and test. The result shown that (1) the highest statement that motivated the student was statement no. 1 with 98% percentage. Then, statement no. 14 got the lowest percentage with 34,7 %, (2) S-P-Ket structure got the highest percentage in error occurrence with 35 errors or 25,9%, there was only 1 error or 0,74%  in S-P-Ket-Pel , S-P-O-Ket-Pel, P-S-P, P-S-Ket, Ket-P-S, K-S-P, S-P-K-K sentence structures, (3)  29 students in statement no. 1 with 41% error, 21 students in statement no.16 with 52 % error.

Abstract

The main purpose of this  study were to find out the influence of discipline, motivation and competence to ward?s teacher?s action  in Nusa Dua vocational School. There were three free variables in this study. They were discipline (X1), motivation (X2) and competence (X3). More over, there was  bound  variable called teacher?s action (Y). The score of t score  for disciplene variable in this study was 6.515 with its significanly level was 0.000  more than t table which was  2.042 it showed  that  there was  a H0refusal and Ha acceptance which  means there was a significanly influence of motivation variable to teacher?s action. The score of t score for teacher?s competence(X3) in this study was 7.322 with its significanly level was 0.000 which was more than t table 2.042. it showed that there was a H0 refusal and a Ha acceptance which means there was a significant influence of teacher?s competence variable to ward teacher?s action variable. The calculation of double linier regression pooduced Fscore which was 143.104 and the F table was 3.32. It was a proof that Fscore was more than F table.It showed HO was rejected and Ha was aceptea in significancy level of 0.000 it means there was a significant influence between free variables and bound variable simultanionsly. The competence variable influenced dominantly to wards teachers action in Nusa Dua Toya Anyar Vocational school.The beta score of competence variable was 0.750 which was the most beta score.
