Abstract

Added value is the value added of a commodity because it undergoes a process of processing, transporting, and or storing in a production. In the process of processing added value can be defined as the difference between the value of the product and the cost of raw materials and other inputs, not including labor. Processing and changing the shape, taste, aroma and packaging of nutmeg meat products will produce new added value which can affect higher selling prices. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the processing of wet and dry nutmeg can provide added value and any factors that influence the added value of wet and dry nutmeg processing in Tapaktuan sub-district, South Aceh district. The analytical method in this study is the Hayami method to calculate added value and multiple linear regression analysis methods for factors. Based on the results of the study showed that dry packaging provides added value of Rp.8,135,775 and wet packaging provides added value of Rp.54,859,446. As for the factors that provide added value for dry packaging (nutmeg cake), namely the factor of the amount of production with a significant 0.000, labor with a significance of 0.021, and the amount of material with a significance of 0.000. And for wet packaging (nutmeg syrup) that is a labor factor with a significance of 0.007.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is very important because interpersonal communication can increase mutual understanding between subordinate employees and superiors, and improve coordination of various different activities or tasks. Therefore effective communication will greatly determine the success of an organization or group so that the group stay intact for a long time. the purpose of this study is to see how interpersonal communication occurs in Bina Usaha groups. The results of this study show that interpersonal communication is less effective, it can be seen from not all components of communication available in interpersonal communication within the gorup. only the attitude of openness and positive, while emphaty, support, and similarity are also important in communication is lacking.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Comparative Income of Vegetable Traders and family income in the Seumayam village People's Market, Darul Makmur District, Nagan Raya Regency. Data collection techniques use observations, questionnaires, and interviews by compiling detailed questions in a list of questions to test and find out how much income and contribution of women horticultural traders in Seumayam Market. Data analysis methodusing quantitative descriptive. And data processing in this research. The result of the study is that the total average of the vegetable traders is received is Rp. 3,737,080, - per month while the total average cost incurred by traders is Rp. 2,551,200 per month thus the average income of horticultural traders was Rp.1,185,880. The magnitude of horticultural traders' revenue contribution is affected family income is 28.0%, where the income contribution of the vegetable trader can help increase the resilience / household needs of the merchant himself

Abstract

One of the food commodities that has prospect to developed in order to meet the need of domestic and international markerts is corn. Corn has prospect if it is managed intensive, where corn is a food crop whose use is relatively broad, namely for the food, chemical and feed industries. The corn farming activities carried out by the respondent farmer are stiil small scale, the purpose of the aims study to examine the characteristics of farming and pattern in the village of Pasi Mali in particular is the characteristics of farming identify farming and income of corn farming. The analysis used is descriptive and quantitative. Quantitative analysis to calculate farm income with cost a cost structure approach. The analysis result that corn farming is feasible to cultivated.

Abstract

Palm oil plants as a superior crop in West Aceh District have recently experienced a shock with the decline in FFB prices due to international, national and local issues regarding palm oil trading. Preventive efforts to overcome this need to be done early by choosing alternative plants and supporting farmers' income, namely areca nut plants. The results showed that the development of areca palm as an alternative plant and oil palm supporting plants in West Aceh District should be focused on the fields of cultivation, industry, marketing and institutional farmers that are carried out in an integrated manner, not partially.

Abstract

The potential of a coffee shop is very high where demand is increasing every year. Coffee shop entrepreneurs must know what are the main indicators of consumers in choosing a coffee shop so that they are able to meet consumer demand well. This research was conducted in Aceh Province in February 2019 - April 2019 using primary data and secondary data through observation, questionnaire distribution, literature study and documentation study. The observations produced eleven indicators that were considered by consumers in the province of Aceh in choosing a coffee shop namely delicious coffee taste, good service, a comfortable place, a variety of processed coffee drinks, affordable prices, food choices as an additional menu, facilities provided by coffee shop, recommendations from friends, the location of the nearest coffee shop, get to know coffee shop owners and famous coffee shop brands. The results of this study indicate that the most important indicator for consumers in choosing a coffee shop is a delicious coffee flavor with a percentage of 20 percent for male consumers and 21 percent for female consumers.

Abstract

Rice is very important for the survival of Indonesian people. Because most of the food from Indonesian society is rice. Problems will arise if the availability of rice is not able to meet the rice needs of the community. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which rice price and harvest area variabels affect rice supply in Padang City. The analytical tool used is Multiple Linear Regression. The results of the study show that both the rice price and harvest area variabels have a significant effect and are positive for the rice supply in Padang City.

Abstract

The maintenance of catfish conducted by the catfish culture group in Kusamba Village still faces various obstacles, namely the high mortality rate of catfish seeds during the maintenance process. Knowledge and skills of farmers about catfish farming technology are not enough to be able to overcome the problems faced. The objectives of community empowerment are (1) to increase farmers' knowledge and skills about hydroVac vaccination, (2) to increase the survival rate of catfish through hydroVac vaccination technology innovation. The implementation of the community empowerment program uses the Technology Transfer (TT) approach. through counseling, training, and a demonstration of the hydroVaac vaccination application. Farmers' knowledge and skills are measured on a scale of three. The results of this community empowerment show that (1) the level of knowledge and skills of farmers increased after being given counseling and training in hydroVac vaccination. (2) Innovation of hydroVac vaccination technology can increase the survival rate of catfish.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one of the largest sectors in the formation of Sumatra Province GRDP West. The agricultural sector is dominated by the food subsector after the plantation subsector. Productivity of food crops tends to increase every year. The purpose of the study 1) to analyze the superior commodities of food crops in West Sumatra Province, 2) to analyze the trends in the harvested area of food crops of the West Sumatra Province. The LQ analysis is used to calculate the main commodities of food crops, while the analysis is trend to measure the development of the wide range of crop commodities. The results of the study indicate that the commodity of rice and sweet potato is a superior commodity in West Sumatra Province. Main commodities of paddy and sweet potato have increased annual harvest area of 11,844.50 ha and 258 ha.

Abstract

Okara nugget is a new product that still on introducing stage, therefore it needs adjustments toward consumer preferences in order to fit its marketing target. This research is proposed to describe the characteristics of Okara nugget's Consumers and to know the consumer preferences towards nugget products based on the attribute importance level that considered in the nugget product buying process, in order to increase the marketing. The characteristic of Okara Nugget's consumers is dominated by women who are 18-25 years old and not married yet. The consumers buy the product based on their desire and attain the information from their friends. The consumers prefer nugget from other product brands than the Okara nugget. According to multi-attribute Fishbein analysis, the attribute which has highest importance evaluation score is taste attribute. The other brands of nugget product attain the highest behavior score on the attribute that is appropriate, meanwhile Okara nugget attains the highest score at the price attribute. Taste quality needs to be upgraded before the Okara nugget producer try to do other upgrading steps. The price needs to be consistent in order to maintain the willingness to buy of its consumers.
