Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) merupakan media penyampaian iptek kepada masyarakat. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan oleh dosen Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Teuku Umar di Desa Suak Pandan Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Tema PKM ini adalah pengembangan produk pangan fungsional dalam meningkatkan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan PKM ini adalah memperkenalkan pangan fungsional, manfaat pangan fungsional bagi kesehatan dan mempraktekkan cara mengolah pangan fungsional berbasis mie labu kuning dan kunyit asam. Peserta PKM merupakan ibu rumah tangga di desa suak pandan, Aceh Barat yang berjumlah 12 orang. Peserta PKM mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan mie labu kuning dan minuman fungsional kunyit asam serta melakukan pemeriksaan glukosa darah. Luaran dari PKM ini adalah meningkatnya keterampilan ibu rumah tangga di desa Suak Pandan, Aceh barat dalam mengolah produk pangan untuk menunjang diversifikasi produk pangan. Kata kunci: Diversifikasi, Mie labu kuning, Minuman kunyit asam, Pangan fungsional, Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ABSTRACTCommunity service activities are a medium for delivering science and technology to the community. The implementation of this service is carried out by lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture, Teuku Umar University in Suak Pandan Village, West Aceh Regency. Theme of this activities is the development of functional food products in improving public health and prosperity. The purpose of this activities is to introduce health benefit of functional food and to practice the processing of functional food based on pumpkin noodles and tamarind turmeric. Participants were 12 housewives in Suak Pandan village, West Aceh. The participants attended training on making pumpkin noodles and tamarind turmeric functional drinks and carried out blood glucose checks. Output of this activities was to increase skills of housewives in Suak Pandan village, West Aceh in processing food products to support food product diversification. Abstract

Communication is done not only by words but also by non verbal activity that has been dealt. The farmers of Kreueng Tinggai, Samatiga, Aceh Barat have been done non verbal communication after ritual “kanuri blang”. This study used qualitative method, where the source of data were taken from observation, deep interview, and focus group dissussion (FGD). Non verbal communication used is flag. When the white flag waves is means that it is sowing time, and when the green flag waves, it is planting time. Abstract

Di zaman sekarang, perkembangan literasi digital berkembang cukup pesat. Dalam literasi digital itu bukan hanya sekedar kemampuan mencari, menggunakan dan menyebarkan informasi akan tetapi, diperlukan kemampuan dalam membuat informasi dan evaluasi kritis, ketepatan aplikasi yang digunakan dan pemahaman mendalam dari isi informasi yang terkandung dalam konten digital tersebut. Di sisi lain literasi digital mencakup tanggung jawab dari setiap penyebaran informasi yang dilakukannya karena menyangkut dampaknya terhadap masyarakat. Penyuluhan tentang pentingnya literasi digital dan kesadaran etika dalam bermedia sosial ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2021 lalu. Bertempat di Aula Utama Sekolah SMAN Wira Bangsa Aceh Barat, kami mengajak para siswa untuk berdiskusi sambil bermain tentang fenomena media sosial. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun penggunaan media sosial memberi dampak positif, perkembangan media sosial ternyata juga dapat memberikan dampak negatif. Anak maupun remaja memiliki keterbatasan untuk melakukan regulasi diri. Mereka juga rentan mendapatkan tekanan dari teman sebaya sehingga mereka memiliki resiko tinggi terpapar dampak negatif dari penggunaan media sosial. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa resiko yang mungkin didapatkan seperti terpaparnya konten pornografi atau konten negatif lain dan kurangnya pemahaman mengenai isu privasi.

Abstract

Masalah siswa tidak mampu berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris karena masalah linguistik dan psikologis masih banyak terjadi di kelas bahasa Inggris saat ini, seperti yang terjadi di SMPN 6 Kecamatan Meureubo, Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Para siswa memiliki kosakata bahasa Inggris dan waktu praktik yang terbatas serta tidak percaya diri untuk berbicara. Literatur menunjukkan bahwa teknik Information Gap dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk membantu memecahkan masalah berbicara Bahasa Inggris siswa dengan menerapkan teknik Information Gap dalam kegiatan mengajar. Teknik tersebut diterapkan pada topik Pengenalan Diri untuk siswa Kelas VII. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada 19 Oktober 2021 selama satu hari. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah siswa menunjukkan semangat untuk berusaha berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris. Selain itu, siswa setuju bahwa teknik ini bermanfaat bagi mereka untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara. Disarankan bagi para guru di SMPN 6 Meureubo untuk tetap menerapkan teknik Information Gap dalam pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Inggris di kelas.

Abstract

Krueng Itam village is one of the villages where the majority of the residents work as palm oil farmers and depend on palm oil plantations. In marketing to sell FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch) palm oil farmers still rely on collector traders (agents) which in this case is referred to by the term "Tauke Sawit" (toke sawit). In the beginning, the relationship between palm oil farmers and the Tauke was limited to economic relations, such as the sale and purchase relationship between sellers and buyers. But in its development, the relationship turns into a relationship of dependence and interest that leads to a patron-client relationship. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation and interview process that is expected to be able to provide an overview of the social relationship between tauke and farmers. Based on the results of the study, the relationship between tauke and palm oil farmers is a patron- client relationship where palm oil tauke as the patron and palm oil farmers as clients. Palm oil farmers need tauke to accomodate the harvest of palm oil FFB and tauke needs palm oil FFB from farmers to be sold to Palm oil mills. In this cooperative relationship, farmers will usually borrow money for capital needs and others to the tauke, this makes the farmers' dependence on the tauke become greater so that each of them will maintain the relationship by respecting the existing norms so that the relationship has been established will not be broken easily. The relationship of patron-clients is more visible in the relationship between tauke and small farmers, this is because there is a clear difference in socio-economic status between the two, so that the tauke as a patron play a big role.

Abstract

The high level of public belief and trust in the madeung tradition as a treatment for postpartum mothers is still widely found in traditional Acehnese communities, especially the Raja Ubit family – an indigenous community in Blang Tripa. Postpartum mothers are required to practice the madeung tradition in the form of restrictions on consuming certain types of food, in which this tradition must be carried out for 44 days. The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of the practice of the madeung tradition on the nutritional status of postpartum mothers. This study applied a descriptive-analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The number of respondents in this study was 20 people. The results of the chi-squared test, Fisher’s exact test, and cross-tabulation between the nutritional status of postpartum mothers and the practice of the madeung tradition indicated the p-value of 0.545 (> 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no significant influence between the nutritional status of postpartum mothers and the practice of the madeung tradition. Health officers from Alue Rambot Health Center are expected to run education programs for pregnant women about the good practice of the madeung tradition after the childbirth process based on health principles. Keywords: Madeung Tradition, Nutritional Status, Postpartum Mothers.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one of the largest sectors in the formation of Sumatra Province GRDP West. The agricultural sector is dominated by the food subsector after the plantation subsector. Productivity of food crops tends to increase every year. The purpose of the study 1) to analyze the superior commodities of food crops in West Sumatra Province, 2) to analyze the trends in the harvested area of food crops of the West Sumatra Province. The LQ analysis is used to calculate the main commodities of food crops, while the analysis is trend to measure the development of the wide range of crop commodities. The results of the study indicate that the commodity of rice and sweet potato is a superior commodity in West Sumatra Province. Main commodities of paddy and sweet potato have increased annual harvest area of 11,844.50 ha and 258 ha.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the market behavior of smallholders' FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunches). Based on the results of the research, market behavior that occurs in the FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunches) market in Darul Makmur District shows that farmers make sales to traders due to a formal agreement in the form of borrowing capital, and a price bargaining process occurs by wholesalers who own SP ) FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunches).

Abstract

Purpose- SPEAKING Kanuri Blang descripsi the farming community for food security in West Aceh district Samatiga. Methodology- To obtain maximum results with the study researchers used a qualitative approach and using ethnographic methods of communication. Where data collection using direct observation, in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs). Results - SPEAKING Kanuri Blang in Samatiga Regency si depending on the communication activities undertaken in the implementation of Kanuri Blang. Therefore, Kanuri Blang concluded as the media once the messenger who was instrumental in uniform the farming community in growing rice. Kanuri Blang is important and more powerful than the message in Blang Kanuri own.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is very important because interpersonal communication can increase mutual understanding between subordinate employees and superiors, and improve coordination of various different activities or tasks. Therefore effective communication will greatly determine the success of an organization or group so that the group stay intact for a long time. the purpose of this study is to see how interpersonal communication occurs in Bina Usaha groups. The results of this study show that interpersonal communication is less effective, it can be seen from not all components of communication available in interpersonal communication within the gorup. only the attitude of openness and positive, while emphaty, support, and similarity are also important in communication is lacking.
