Al Mishbah Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi is an academic peer-reviewed journal that publishes the latest issues in the field of dawah and communication, including areas of dawah discourse, such as Islamic counseling and the development of Islamic societies. Since 2012, the journal has been published regularly twice in one year June and December. The primary audience of Al Mishbah Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi is academics, students, practitioners, and those who have an interest in the field of dawah and communication.

<![CDATA[Cultural messages are only captured with genuine appreciation and understanding by the cultural stakeholders themselves. The owner of culture will be able to feel the meaning because of living it in the environment even since childhood. This cultural message is then translated into values of life in society. The meaning contained in the cultural message of Maku Gawene contains about the principles of life to love each other, protect each other in the communication process. Simply Maku Gawene can be interpreted as a sense of mutual love and from this feeling is the basis for the formation of social solidarity as well as glue for any differences that exist. The meaning of Maku Gawene's cultural message then makes the communication behavior of Ternate people to be inclusive and full of love, so that they can accept others as part of them]]>

<![CDATA[Culture is part of the tradition but samawi religion is not part of culture, because the religion of Islam reaches two relations are vertical and horizontal, human relations and trancendental relations (to God). Islam as a samawi religion is not part of the culture, and Islamic culture is not part of religion of Islam, each one stands alone, but there is a strong correlation between them. Islam is the foundation, principles, and controllers are sources of cultural calues in cultural development. <![CDATA[Lately, there are many problems of religious behavior which partially understand religion, causing many deviations in the name of religion and belief. Roughness and hatred towards other groups in the name of religious teachings and "heretical" religious understanding, is the impact of human acceptance of religious teachings that are not accompanied by good education and understanding of religious knowledge, so that preaching through educational institutions becomes the choice to build an understanding of Islam that is comprehensive and inclusive. The results of this study indicate that (1) The concept of Alkhairaat preaching follows the Habib Idrus style of preaching namely subtle and sympathetic, with the style of movement of a number of scholars who introduce movements in various regions including the archipelago, using the concept of tabsyit lil ummah which makes the messages of religious teachings as news or good news for the Ummah. (2) The form of da'wah conducted by Alkhairaat is by developing educational institutions that are oriented to the formation of knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the community in accordance with the guidance of the teachings of Islam]]>

<![CDATA[This paper deals with the dynamic of the development of technology and information that dominate every public spheres particularly in urban areas today. Modernization of technology plays an important role in determining the development of information and communication either in its capacity as a science or applied science. A myriad of communication models emerge and develop in the phenomenon of communication itself which indicate that modernization of communication is a source of communication technology as applied science. At the same time, modernization of communication using technologies is a part of causing factors to integration of communication compounded with modern architecture. Therefore, it can be used as a medium of Islamic preaching.]]>

<![CDATA[The aims of the study were to reveal the cause of personality development on children’s characters and to elaborate the exertion in eradicating poverty reflects from the novel Lord of the Flies. This study employed descriptive qualitative study with psychoanalytical approach initiated by Sigmund Freud focused on literature as the reflection of real life. The primary data in this study were collected from the novel “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding (1954). The secondary data were taken from the library, internet, and journals, theses, and articles. The research result indicates that the personalities of the children are developed based on the anxiety and defense mechanism as part of psychoanalysis. Other finding is about the reflection of poverty eradication shows in the story. The children’s efforts in getting rescued and hunting could be the reflection of escape from poverty.]]>

Among other tasks and functions are to compile regulations and set guidelines for broadcasting behavior and set broadcast program standards.In fact limited budget received every year, the West Sumatra KPID has carried out socialization activities through Public Service Announcements, Talk shows, Public Dialogue, Media Literacy, Brochures and Distribution of Public Complaints Boxes in several Regencies / Cities in the hope that this will help the existence of the West Sumatra KPID his duties and authorities are based on law number 32 regarding Broadcasting.]]>

<![CDATA[This article examines the meaning contained in ussul and pemali associated with the procession of making sandeq boats . To study descriptive qualitative methods are used. The data analyzed are oral data relating to the procession of making sandeq boats which were obtained through in-depth interviews with Mandar sailors, boat builders and religious figures /clerics who were informants, including community leaders. The results of the analysis showed that the ussul and pemali of the Mandar tribe were related to the procession of making sandeq boats which involved rituals in the form of objects, symbols and meaningful behavior. It was concluded that ussul and pemali further reinforced that the sandeq boat was part of the identity of the Mandar tribe. The Ussul and Pemali meanings illustrate the hope and orientation of safety and the good fortune which is a form of love of the Mandar tribe for the sandeq and the sea.]]>

<![CDATA[Gus Dur's pluralism is closer to social pluralism, but also leads to humanism (respecting the lives of others). Pluralism of this kind emphasizes on building a nation that is unified over the differences. This kind of da'wah pathway can only be realized if Da'wah is not merely understood as a conventional activity. Da'wah should be brought to the wider realm, the political path. Preaching activists moved to the teachings of Islam so that Islam can be made an ideology of the country, or at least every government or state policy always with Islamic values so that Islamic teachings are based on the nation's political life.]]>

<![CDATA[This study is a qualitative study that attempts to collect data by means of theoretical approaches, both preaching theories, and psychological theories. With both approaches it seeks to reveal answers to the problem of how the method of preaching in overcoming adolescent problems. After conducting research, the most important findings of this study are formulated as follows: Da'wah method in overcoming adolescent problems starting from the material must be in accordance with the needs of adolescents easily understood and must be a problem solving problem faced by adolescents. The intended method is lecture, question and answer, discussion, uswatun hasanah (exemplary), and home visit (home visit).]]>
