Abstract

Imperata cylindrica is a narrow-leaved weed that contains phenol compounds in the form of flavonoids and tannins that can inhibit the growth of other plants, so it has the potential as a bioherbicide. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica on the germination and growth of Mikania micrantha weed and to determine the concentration of methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica that well inhibits the germination and growth of  M. micrantha weed. This research started from March to December 2023 and was carried out at the Forest Products Chemistry Laboratory Faculty of Forestry, Laboratory and Cassa House Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. The method used in this research is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 concentration treatments of 0 g/ml (control); 0.1 g/ml; 0.2 g/ml; 0.3 g/ml and 0.4 g/ml, each treatment consists of 5 replicates. The results showed that methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica gave a significant effect on the germination and growth of M. micrantha weed. The methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica that best inhibits the germination of M. micrantha weed is a concentration of 0.2 g/ml and best inhibits the growth of M. micrantha weed is a concentration of 0.4 g/ml. Methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica has the potential as a bioherbicide to inhibit the growth of M. micrantha weed.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLiquid organic fertilizer (LOF) is proven to be more effective than solid organic fertilizer because nutrient mineralization is more efficient, so nutrients are quickly available for plants. Water hyacinth, as a water weed, turns out to have many functions. Besides being able to become a biofilter by absorbing chemical compounds in polluted water, the accumulation results also contain mineral compounds that are useful for increasing plant yields. Therefore, it is necessary to review the results of applying LOF made from water hyacinth to cayenne pepper plants. This study aims to analyze the effect of various doses of water hyacinth extract on the yield of cayenne pepper. This study uses a non-factorial experimental method, a complete random design (CRD), with an analysis model of LSD test (Least Significant Difference Test) α 5%. There are 4 treatments, namely, 0 ml, 40 ml, 60 ml, and 80 ml, with 5 replications. The parameters observed are the number of fruits, the fruit weight, and the wet weight of the plant. The results showed that the water hyacinth LOF has a pH of 7, doesn’t sting, and is light brown. The best treatment for P3 or 80 ml of water hyacinth POC is that the average number of fruits is 10 seeds, the average weight of fruit is 2.04 grams, and the average wet weight of plants is 46.9 grams.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of using oyster mushroom baglog waste and rice bran on the production yield and bioconversion value of maggot. The design used was a fully randomized design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 4 replications, namely P1 = 100% oyster mushroom baglog waste; P2 = 75% oyster mushroom baglog waste + 25% rice bran; P3 = 50% oyster mushroom baglog waste + 50% rice bran; P4 = 25% oyster mushroom baglog waste + 75% rice bran; and P5 = 100% rice bran. The variables observed in this study were maggot production and maggot bioconversion value. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and if the results obtained showed a significant effect, then continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the use of oyster mushroom baglog waste and rice bran affected the production and bioconversion value of maggot. The use of 25% oyster mushroom baglog waste and 75% rice bran gave the highest results with an average maggot production of 90.75 grams and a bioconversion value of 6.48%.

Abstract

Lingkungan mungkin bukan hal pertama yang terlintas dalam pikiran ketika berbicara tentang keberhasilan sebuah restoran, namun penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan memainkan peranan yang lebih besar dalam persepsi seseorang. Kelima indera berperan dalam cara seseorang memandang lingkungannya, dan kafe dapat memanfaatkan hal tersebut agar lebih berhasil dalam menarik dan mempertahankan pelanggan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pentingnya daya tarik indera dalam pilihan kedai kopi oleh mahasiswa dan untuk memberikan wawasan kepada pemilik bisnis dan pemilik kafe khususnya tentang bagaimana indra dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menarik pelanggan. Penelitian ini menggunakan CFA (confirmatory factor analysis) untuk menganalisis pentingnya indra pada kedai kopi. Faktor penglihatan yang paling signifikan adalah warna dengan faktor pemuatan 0,840. Faktor yang paling berpengaruh adalah aroma mempunyai loading faktor 0,744, suara tidak adanya lalu lintas dengan faktor muatan 0,798, rasa asin dengan faktor muatan 0,901, dan sentuhan bahan tempat duduk dengan faktor muatan 0,871.
