Abstract

The purpose of this study is produced Students? Worksheet (LKS) which valid, practice, and effective to support the learning biology materials using a guided inquiry model. The development of worksheets is using ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate) models and being implemented in XI Grade senior high of Trensains Tebuireng Jombang on odd semester of 2016/2017 academic year with the One-group pretest-posttest design. The validity of the worksheet is measured from consistency (construct validity) and relevant (content validity aspects) based on expert assessment with a minimum score of 2.60 (Valid). Practicality worksheet is measured from students? activities and Students? activities can be avowed good by minimum 65% of percentage. The effectiveness of the learning device is measured by its impact of the increasing of students? learning result in a pilot implementation or final implementation class as well as student?s response. Meanwhile, the learning device can be avowed effective if there are significant improvement scores of students? learning process in knowledge aspect. The responses of students are measured by the percentage of students? responses "Yes" in every aspect of the questionnaire with a minimum score of 61% of percentage. The validity and practicality of the data are analyzed descriptively while the increasing of learning cognitive aspects results are analyzed inferentially by using the paired t-test. Based on the data analysis results can be concluded that the development of learning device are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This research aims to develop chemistry learning materials PBM models oriented in curriculum 2013 to improve learning outcomes of high school students on the material factors that affect the rate of reaction. This research is the development by using Kemp models,et al. Limited trial design uses one group pretest posttest design with descriptive analysis techniques of quantitative and qualitative descriptive. This study uses the subject of the trial class XI SMA-Based Leading Pesantren Amanatul Ummah 2015-2016 school year on the subject of factors that affect the rate of reaction. The results showed: (1) The quality of the device can be seen from the validation RPP, validation BAS, validation worksheets, and validation of THB categorized either by reading level easily understood, (2) practicality of the device can be seen from Keterlaksanaan RPP categorized very well, (3) Effectiveness learning tools can be seen from the thoroughness of individual student learning outcomes and the traditional, the effectiveness is also supported by the positive response of students to study indicated 95.83% of students who give a positive response. Based on data analysis can be concluded that the learning device by problem-oriented in curriculum 2013 on material factors that influence the reaction rate meets the criteria of quality, practicality, and effectiveness so that used in learning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop learning instruments of science through Contextual Approach using problem solving model which are reasonable to increase critical thinking skills of students. Learning Instruments are developed using 4-D model with one group pretest-posttest design. The Learning Instruments are tested at 74 students class VIII MTs Negeri Bonde Majene Regency West Sulawesi Province third semester 2016/ 2017 school Year for measuring application of lesson plan, hindrances during learning process, result of learning which is critical thinking skills of students, and respons of students to the learning instruments developed. Data Collection uses validation method, observation, testing, and questionnaires. The data of this research are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively description. Finding of the research result, namely: (1) Instrument Validity including lesson Plan, Text book of students, activity sheets of students, test instruments of critical thinking indicated valid; (2) practically learning instruments are obtained from: (a) application of Lesson plan categorized by 95.23% with excellent category, and (b) obstacles during learning process; and (3) affectivity of learning instruments in terms of : (a) critical thinking skills of students through n-gain with higher category over 0.7 (Hake, 1999), and (b) the respons of students to the instruments and application of learning are very good. Based on the result of data analysis, can be concluded that learning instruments of science through Contextual Approach using problem solving model are feasible to increase critical thinking skills of students.
