Abstract

Old guidelines to use the whiteboard stated that teachers were not allowed to write on the whiteboard while talking, because unethical if speak while back facing students. Findings about thinking process profile in information processing were presented with a whiteboard showed that the assimilation process is going to be supported, and audio-visual stimulants. This paper aims to describe the implementation of the latest strategies to use fixed-whiteboard based on students thinking process in learning physics with maximum the optimal thought processes and also maintain cultural ethics. This research was conducted through the use of guideline development assessment implementation fixed-slates based on the findings of the process of thinking and ethical culture in physics learning. The results showed that the latest strategy the use of fixed-whiteboard based on the thought process students and ethical culture in learning physics are (1) the assimilation process so that the display contents whiteboard is a material that is correct and does not cause cognitive conflict, (2) they are mutually reinforcing a combination of visual and audio so that the need to write while spelling, and (3) the thinking process to the stage of internalization that stage of the emergence of good information text / image / formula can be seen intact by all students by writing not cover impressions. The implementation results show the subject has been able to implement the latest strategies use fixed-whiteboard with both categories. The conclusions of this study that the use of the latest strategies fixed-whiteboard can be used for the presentation of information which is more than usual for students according to their thinking process and also maintain cultural ethics. The implication of this research is for Workforce Education Institutions need to equip student teachers with the skills to use the whiteboard based on the latest strategy.How to CiteKristiyanto, W. Abstract

This study aims to produce physics teachinginstruments with cooperative learning model type group investigation to improve students self-efficacy and learning achievement. Development of teachinginstrumentsusing Kemp model. The experimental design uses a one-pretest-posttest design model with three time replications. Subjects in this study are teachinginstruments and students of class XI MIPA. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja-Bali in the academic year of 2017/2018. Data were collected using validation method, questionnaire, observation, questionnaire and test. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive analysis and parametric statistical analysis. The results showed that the developed teachingintruments were valid, practical, and effective.The validitywas indicated by the average scores in a good categoryforlesson plan, BAS, student worksheet, achievement test and self-efficacy questionnaire.The practicisibilitywas showed by: (a) a good implementation of the lesson plan, (b) student activity is in excellent category, (c) the readability of BAS and student worksheet are in moderate categories, and (d) the obstacles during the learning activities can be overcome.The effectiveness was indicated by: (a) students? learning achievement has increased significantly; (b) students? self-efficacy has increased significantly; and (c) students respond is positive to the learning instruments and learning activity.  In conclusion, physics learning instruments with cooperative learning model type group investigation can be used to improve students? self-efficacy and learning achievement.

Abstract

This research development aims to determine the quality (validity, practicality, and effectiveness) of Physics Learning Material using Scientific Approach to Practice Students's Critical Thinking Skills in subject of fluid for student class XI Senior High School State 1 Batu Sopang. This research was implemented in two phases, namely the development of devices to follow the Morrison, Ross, Kalman, & Kemp?s design, continued implementation of the learning in the classroom using Pre- and Post-Design from Prunckun. The results showed that the developed device has a valid, practical, and effective. Valid visible from the validator assessment of the lesson plan RPP; student worksheets; students books achievement test; learning outcomes assessment instruments knowledge, performance, attitude, and critical thinking skills. Practical seen from the percentage feasibility study stage is 100 %; scores feasibility study in class XI-IA-1 is 3.71; XI-IA-2 3.72; and XI-IA-3 3.67; activities that support the scientific approach more dominant in learning and irrelevant activity has decreased every meeting; students responded positively to the process of learning and using a scientific approach that has been developed. Effective seen from individual mastery of knowledge learning outcomes of students of class XI-IA-1 is 88.00%; XI-IA-2 92.00%; XI- IA-3  87.00%; individual mastery of performance and attitude learning outcomes of students each class is 100 %; all students to increase critical thinking skills. Obstacles encountered in this study is times less efficient in guiding the students carry out experiments and practice critical thinking skills. The research showed that the physics learning material using scientific approach has valid, practical, and effective to improve learning outcomes and practice critical thinking skills. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas (validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan) perangkat pembelajaran fisika melalui pendekatan saintifik untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi fluida untuk siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Batu Sopang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu pengembangan perangkat mengikuti rancangan Morrison, Ross, Kalman, & Kemp, dilanjutkan implementasi perangkat pembelajaran di kelas menggunakan Pre- and Post-Design dari Prunckun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan telah valid, praktis, dan efektif. Valid terlihat dari penilaian validator terhadap RPP; LKS; buku siswa; instrumen penilaian hasil belajar pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Praktis terlihat dari persentase keterlaksanaan tahapan pembelajaran sebesar 100%; skor keterlaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas XI-IA-1 sebesar 3,71; XI-IA-2 3,72; dan XI-IA-3 3,67; aktivitas yang mendukung pendekatan saintifik lebih dominan dalam pembelajaran dan aktivitas tidak relevan mengalami penurunan setiap pertemuan; siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap perangkat dan proses pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik yang telah dikembangkan. Efektif terlihat dari ketuntasan individual hasil belajar pengetahuan siswa kelas XI-IA-1 sebesar 88,00%; XI-IA-2 92,00%; XI-IA-3 87,00%; ketuntasan individual hasil belajar keterampilan dan sikap siswa setiap kelas sebesar 100%; semua siswa mengalami peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini adalah kurang efisien waktu dalam membimbing siswa melaksanakan eksperimen dan melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran fisika menggunakan pendekatan saintifik telah valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This research was intended to produce the innovative instructional materials based on the learner autonomy levels on fundamental physics lecture and also to describe the feasibility of the materials. This research was conducted in two stages. The first stage was the preparation intended to produce the innovative instructional materials. The second stage was the instructional implementation in a classroom by using the pretest and posttest group design. The data of research results showed that the developed instructional materials were declared valid according to the expert judgment with good category on the whole. The developed instructional materials also fulfilled the practical criteria based on (a) the application of the lesson plan in classroom reaching 100% with the quality of very good category, and (b) the students? activities were suitable with the requirement of every stage of the lesson plan. Furthermore, the developed instructional materials were also declared effective based on (a) the assessment of the students? learning outcome giving the learning mastery of 100%, while the mastery of achievement indicator of basic competence being 100%, and (b) the students? response to the instruction in the forms of interest and motivation including the aspects of attention, relevance, self-confidence, and satisfaction, all of which being of good category. Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that the developed instructional materials based on the learner autonomy levels were declared feasible (valid, effective, and practical) to be used on fundamental physics lecture Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat perkuliahan inovatif berdasarkan tingkat otonomi pebelajar pada perkuliahan fisika dasar dan juga untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan perangkat perkuliahan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama adalah persiapan; bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat. Tahap kedua adalah implementasi  perkuliahan di kelas yang menggunakan rancangan pretest and posttest group design. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat perkuliahan yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid berdasarkan hasil penilaian pakar yang kesemuanya berkategori baik. Perangkat perkuliahan hasil pengembangan juga memenuhi kriteria praktis berdasarkan (a) keterlaksanaan RPP sebesar 100% dengan kualitas keterlaksanaan berkategori sangat baik, dan (b) aktivitas mahasiswa sesuai dengan tuntutan dari setiap tahapan perkuliahan yang direncanakan. Lebih lanjut perangkat perkuliahan yang dikembangkan juga dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan (a) hasil belajar mahasiswa yang memberikan ketuntasan sebesar 100%, dengan ketuntasan indikator ketercapaian kompetensi dasar 100%, dan (b)  respon mahasiswa terhadap perkuliahan berupa minat dan motivasi yang meliputi aspek perhatian, relevansi, kepercayaan diri, dan kepuasan, yang semuanya berkategori baik. Berdasarkan temuan-temuan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat perkuliahan berdasarkan tingkat otonomi pebelajar yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak (valid, efektif dan praktis) untuk digunakan dalam perkuliahan fisika dasar

Abstract

The purpose of this research is produce physics learning material through guided inquiry model that valid, practical, and effective to improve learning outcomes of senior high school students. The development of learning material used the Kemp model and was tested X of SMA Hangtuah 1 Surabaya second semester in academic year 2013/2014 with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data of the study collected through observation, test, and questioner. The results of this research are: 1) Learning material developed has a valid category. 2) Learning material in terms of a practical category in feasibility of lesson plans and the students? activities in accordance with steps of guided inquiry model. 3) The learning material effectiveness in terms of: (a) the increasing of students learning outcomes seen from exhaustiveness of indicator, individual, and classical; (b) the increasing of students? comprehensiveness seen from high level of gain; (c) The students? responds toward material and implementation of learning are very positive. Based on the findings of the study, It?s conclusion that the learning material through guided inquiry model are valid, practical, and effective to increasing students' learning outcomes. It showed through the students' comprehensiveness of the concept, psychomotor skills and character, which are students' discipline and responsible. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model inkuiri terbimbing yang valid, praktis, dan efektif sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model Kemp dan diujicobakan di kelas X SMA Hangtuah 1 Surabaya semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Temuan hasil penelitian, yaitu: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik dan sesuai dengan tahap-tahap pada model inkuiri terbimbing; dan 3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa terlihat dari ketuntasan indikator, individual, dan klasikal; (b) Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa terlihat dari gain dengan kategori tinggi; dan (c) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sangat positif. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA Fisika dengan model inkuiri terbimbing, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan oleh pemahaman konsep siswa, keterampilan psikomotor siswa, dan karakter siswa yang meliputi disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa.

Abstract

This research focuses to produce learning material of science lesson for Junior High School at the eighth grade in the topic of mirror using guided discovery learning method. This research consists of three steps with design one group pretest-posttest. Analyze data by using descriptive analyze N-Gain, T-Test, and ANOVAs one way. The results of this research are learning material of lesson what have been developed, generally, in the good category. Implementation of lesson plan is good. More student activities are making hypothesis, writing identification of variables and doing experiment to each group are 9.9%, 9.8%, and 9.8%. The result of research showed that average N-Gains for each indicator of critical thinking skill are middle category. That is cleared of inferential analyzes t-Test what showed that there is significant differences between pretest and posttests on the result of critical thinking skill tests and  tests of lesson, include of analyze by ANOVAs one way.. The other results are that based on analyzes of maximum criteria completeness (KKM), guided discovery learning method gives influence of result student cognitive test for three groups which is complete. The response of students to instruction with guided discovery learning method is good. Based on the result of research, conclusion of this research is the instruction of physics or science by using guided discovery learning can develop critical thinking skill and complete results of student cognitive lesson. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA fisika siswa SMP kelas VIII pada sub materi cermin dengan metode (guided discovery). Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 tahap dengan rancangan menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif N-Gain, T-Test, dan Anava Satu Jalur. Temuan dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan secara umum berkategori baik. Keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik. Aktivitas siswa yang dominan adalah membuat hipotesis, menuliskan identifikasi variabel-variabel percobaan  dan melakukan percobaan untuk setiap kelompok berturut-turut adalah 9.9 %, 9.8%, dan 9.8%. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa Ngain rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis berada pada kategori sedang. Temuan lain bahwa berdasarkan tinjauan KKM, metode pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing juga memberikan pengaruh pada penguasaan konsep siswa untuk ketiga kelompok berada pada kategori tuntas. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan metode guided discovery dinilai baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA fisika dengan metode guided discovery dapat melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP serta mampu menuntaskan penguasaan konsep kognitif siswa.

Abstract

This research was developmental research conducted to understanding the effectiveness of instructional physics through top-down approach based on scaffolding to practice critical thinking skills. The data of initial developmental testing consisted of learning processes, student activities, and student responses obtained from observation sheet while critical thinking skills gained from the test of critical thinking skills. The initial developmental testing resulted that student's dominant activities was discussion and concept exploration. Students' response to learning was very well where 60% of students said that it was very easy to understand how teachers teach. For critical thinking skills, students were still in the category of limited proficiency to some proficiency categoryPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas perangkat pembelajaran fisika  melalui pendekatan pemrosesan  top  down berbasis scaffolding untuk melatihkan  keterampilan  berpikir kritis. Perangakt pembelajaran diujicobakan di SMAN 18 Surabaya sampai tahap uji pengembangan awal. Data hasil uji pengembangan awal meliputi data keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, aktifitas siswa, respon siswa, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi. untuk tes keterampilan berpikir kritis diperoleh dari tes. Dari hasil uji pengembangan awal diketahui bahwa proses pembelajaran terlaksana dengan baik, dengan aktifitas siswa yang didominasi oleh diskusi kelompok dalam melakukan eksplorasi konsep. Selain itu respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran sangat baik dimana 60% siswa merasa sangat mudah memahami cara guru mengajar dan 90% siswa sangat berminat jika materi diawali dengan identifikasi fakta dari permasalahan. Namun untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis, siswa masih berada pada kategori tidak terampil sampai agak terampil.

Temuan hasil penelitian, yaitu: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik dan sesuai dengan tahap-tahap pada model inkuiri terbimbing; dan 3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa terlihat dari ketuntasan indikator, individual, dan klasikal; (b) Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa terlihat dari gain dengan kategori tinggi; dan (c) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sangat positif. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA Fisika dengan model inkuiri terbimbing, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan oleh pemahaman konsep siswa, keterampilan psikomotor siswa, dan karakter siswa yang meliputi disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa.

Abstract

This research was intended to produce the innovative instructional materials based on the learner autonomy levels on fundamental physics lecture and also to describe the feasibility of the materials. This research was conducted in two stages. The first stage was the preparation intended to produce the innovative instructional materials. The second stage was the instructional implementation in a classroom by using the pretest and posttest group design. The data of research results showed that the developed instructional materials were declared valid according to the expert judgment with good category on the whole. The developed instructional materials also fulfilled the practical criteria based on (a) the application of the lesson plan in classroom reaching 100% with the quality of very good category, and (b) the students’ activities were suitable with the requirement of every stage of the lesson plan. Furthermore, the developed instructional materials were also declared effective based on (a) the assessment of the students’ learning outcome giving the learning mastery of 100%, while the mastery of achievement indicator of basic competence being 100%, and (b) the students’ response to the instruction in the forms of interest and motivation including the aspects of attention, relevance, self-confidence, and satisfaction, all of which being of good category. Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that the developed instructional materials based on the learner autonomy levels were declared feasible (valid, effective, and practical) to be used on fundamental physics lecture Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat perkuliahan inovatif berdasarkan tingkat otonomi pebelajar pada perkuliahan fisika dasar dan juga untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan perangkat perkuliahan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama adalah persiapan; bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat. Tahap kedua adalah implementasi  perkuliahan di kelas yang menggunakan rancangan pretest and posttest group design. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat perkuliahan yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid berdasarkan hasil penilaian pakar yang kesemuanya berkategori baik. Perangkat perkuliahan hasil pengembangan juga memenuhi kriteria praktis berdasarkan (a) keterlaksanaan RPP sebesar 100% dengan kualitas keterlaksanaan berkategori sangat baik, dan (b) aktivitas mahasiswa sesuai dengan tuntutan dari setiap tahapan perkuliahan yang direncanakan. Lebih lanjut perangkat perkuliahan yang dikembangkan juga dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan (a) hasil belajar mahasiswa yang memberikan ketuntasan sebesar 100%, dengan ketuntasan indikator ketercapaian kompetensi dasar 100%, dan (b)  respon mahasiswa terhadap perkuliahan berupa minat dan motivasi yang meliputi aspek perhatian, relevansi, kepercayaan diri, dan kepuasan, yang semuanya berkategori baik.
