Abstract

Shipbuilding consists of three main stages: fabrication, assembly, and erection. The assembly stage involves fit-up, welding, and weld grinding (finishing), each of which poses occupational safety and health risks to shipyard workers. This study aimed to analyze Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) risks in the shipbuilding process at PT XYZ, with a primary focus on the assembly stage using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method. Supporting data were collected through interviews with the project supervisor directly involved in all assembly activities, as well as field observations of the work environment and workers. Risk assessment was conducted by evaluating three key parameters—Severity, Occurrence, and Detection—to calculate the Risk Priority Number (RPN) for each identified hazard. The results identified 14 potential occupational hazards across five assembly work activities. The assembly stage was predominantly characterized by moderate-risk hazards. The most critical risk identified was noise-induced hearing loss caused by grinding machine noise during the weld grinding process, with an RPN of 216. In addition, electrical burns resulting from damaged welding cables and thermal burns caused by welding spatter each recorded an RPN of 210, both of which were also classified as moderate-risk hazards. The recommended risk control measures include strengthening administrative controls through regular toolbox meetings to enhance workers' awareness of the hazards associated with permanent hearing loss, accompanied by mandatory use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including earplugs or earmuffs, coveralls, safety helmets, and safety footwear. These recommendations are expected to minimize occupational accidents and improve the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) at PT XYZ

Abstract

Anemia and chronic energy deficiency (CED) remain relatively prevalent in Indonesia. CED affects 17.3% of pregnant women and 14.5% of non‑pregnant women of reproductive age (15–49 years). Among females aged 15–19 years, the largest proportions are pregnant adolescents (33.5%) and non‑pregnant adolescents (36.3%), with anemia prevalence of 48.9% in pregnant women and 32% in adolescent girls. To secure maternal and infant health and to improve women’s productivity and quality of life, health promotion is essential to prevent anemia and CED among premarital women. An effective way to increase their knowledge is to use engaging approaches and media, such as emotional demonstration modules and animated videos (ATIKA: Ati, Telur, Ikan as iron‑rich foods and “Isi Piringku”). This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of education using emotional demonstration (ATIKA and Isi Piringku) and the CIKA animated video (preventing and overcoming anemia and CED) on knowledge and attitudes toward prevention of anemia and CED in premarital (unmarried) women. A quasi‑experimental design with a randomized prospective pretest–posttest control format was employed. The first group received the emotional demonstration intervention, while the second group received the video intervention. Results showed that both the emotional demonstration and audiovisual groups exhibited increases in mean knowledge and attitude scores; the change was statistically significant (p = 0.0001 for knowledge and p = 0.0001 for attitudes). Conclusion: the emotional demonstration method was more effective than the audiovisual medium in improving knowledge and attitudes for the prevention of anemia and CED. Implementation of health education using emotional demonstration is recommended to enhance knowledge and attitudes.

Abstract

The use of Electronic Medical Record System (RME) in healthcare facilities has the main goal of improving the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of services provided to patients. Nonetheless, the successful implementation of this system depends heavily on the level of satisfaction of the end user, who in this case is the officer who operates the system. This study aims to analyze the satisfaction of outpatient enrollment officers with the use of the RME system in the patient enrollment section by adopting the End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) approach as the analytical framework. This research was carried out at Dr. Soegiri Lamongan Hospital using a qualitative research method involving two outpatient registration officers as the main informants. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and observations to obtain comprehensive information about the user experience in using the RME system. The results show that user dissatisfaction is most prominent in the format and timeliness dimensions. The interface display that is considered too congested and the delay in the data validation process are significant obstacles in the workflow of registration officers. As a solution, this study proposes a simplification of the user interface designed to speed up the process of verifying patient data. The interface design improvements are expected to improve the user experience so that outpatient registration officers can work more efficiently. Thus, the implementation of these improvements is expected to be able to support the implementation of more optimal health services and oriented towards user satisfaction

Abstract

Malnutrition remains a major public health concern characterized by deficiencies in both macronutrients and micronutrients. The use of locally based functional foods such as soybean (Glycine max) and dragon fruit peel (Hylocereus polyrhizus) offers potential as an alternative nutritional intervention. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of soybean and dragon fruit peel-based complementary feeding (MP-ASI) formulation on total protein, albumin, and zinc levels in a malnutrition rat model. This experimental study employed a pre–posttest randomized controlled group design involving 15 male Sprague Dawley rats divided into three groups (KN, KP, and P). Malnutrition was induced using a 5% low-protein diet for 21 days, followed by intervention with the MP-ASI formula at a dose of 2.4 g/day/200 g BW. Parameters measured included weekly body weight, serum total protein, albumin, and zinc levels before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA Tukey's post hoc test, and paired t-test. The results demonstrated marked improvements in nutritional biomarkers following the intervention, with total protein increasing from 1.13 to 6.88 g/dL, albumin from 1.53 to 4.53 g/dL, and zinc from 0.67 to 1.34 g/dL (all p = 0.001). In contrast, no significant improvement was observed in the malnutrition control group. The combination of soybean and dragon fruit peel in MP-ASI formulations has the potential to improve protein, albumin, and zinc levels under malnutrition conditions and may serve as a promising locally based nutritional intervention strategy.
