Abstract

The implementation of religious programs is an effort by madrasas to overcome moral and spiritual crises among students. This crisis is characterized by a decline in religious values, a lack of awareness of worship, and an increase in juvenile delinquency, which is a direct result of external negative influences such as social media and the unequal focus of education on the cognitive aspect alone. This condition is designed to encourage self-improvement, ensure the consistency of worship, and instill moral values in each individual. This study aims to analyze the implementation of religious programs and the results of religious programs in shaping the religious culture of students at MTs Ma'arif Sidomukti. In the study, a qualitative method with a descriptive approach was used. This is to describe and disclose data on the implementation of religious programs in shaping the religious culture of students at MTs Ma'arif Sidomukti Kebomas Gresik. This research produces various aspects of research, namely the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The forms of religious programs that are applied include congregational prayers, the habit of reading asmaul husna, the habit of reading aqidatul awwam, mukhadoroh, the recitation of reading short letters, tahlil, surah yasin, surah al-waqiah, surah al-mulk, princess, ishari, pilgrimage visit waliyullah, istighosah dzikrudz dzakirin, shodaqoh sedino sewu (S3), and also Friday morning infaq (INJAGI). It has an impact on students by forming a religious culture which can be seen from increasing worship discipline, confidence, tolerance, and polite and noble behavior among students, and also exploring the potential in students who have the motivation to excel and be competitive. Based on the results of this study, it proves that the implementation of religious programs can significantly shape the religious culture of students in Madrasahs. This research is expected to make a positive contribution to religious programs and become a provision for sustainable living for students in the community.

Abstract

This study discusses the problem of low understanding of the Qur'an among students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Masyhudiyah Gresik. Many students experience difficulties in reading and understanding the content of the Qur'an, which has an impact on their motivation to learn. The purpose of this study is to implement the Bil Qolam method as a solution to improve the understanding of the Qur'an in students. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with interview, observation, and document analysis techniques. This research involves students who take part in the Qur'an learning program using the Bil Qolam method. The results of the study show that the application of the Bil Qolam method significantly increases students' understanding of the Qur'an. Students are easier to understand and remember the material taught, and show a higher interest in reading the Qur'an. In addition, this method also helps students in understanding the rules of tajweed and the structure of hijaiyah letters. The conclusion of this study is that the Bil Qolam method has been proven to be effective in improving the understanding of the Qur'an among students, so it is recommended to be applied more widely in the learning of the Qur'an in madrasas. Thus, this method can be a good alternative to improve the quality of Qur'an education.

Abstract

Today's character education shows a decline in student character. This is due to the rapid advancement of technology and the absence of comprehensive character education using new methods. This study aims to analyze and reveal the values ​​of character education contained in the novel "About You." The research problem formulation raised is how is Islamic character education illustrated in the novel "About You?" The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive, and also uses the content analysis method. The results of the study show many illustrations of Islamic character education contained in the novel "About You," such as the honest/integrity character shown by Sri Ningsih. In addition to good characters, there are also bad characters illustrated in the novel, such as Sulastri with her cunning and insidious character. In this study, we hope that this can make a positive contribution to Islamic character education.

Abstract

This research employs a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The subjects of this study are TK B students and teachers at At-Tazkiyah Kindergarten, Kebomas, Gresik, during the 2023–2024 academic year. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of the research and data analysis conducted at At-Tazkiyah Kindergarten, Kebomas, Gresik, the calculation of the contingency correlation coefficient yielded a value of 0.386. This value was then compared with the significance level of 5% for N = 28 and degrees of freedom (df) = N − 2 = 26, which produced a critical value of 0.374. Since 0.386 ≥ 0.374, it can be concluded that participation in private tutoring has a significant effect on reading ability; therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted. Furthermore, based on the interpretation guidelines for correlation coefficients, the effect of participation in private tutoring is categorized as low
