Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the effect of saponin with different doses on mortality of white snapper (Lates calcalifer). The study was conducted on 18 to 31 July 2017 at the Center for Sea Aquaculture Development (BBPBL) Pesawaran District, Lampung. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments included, treatment A (3 ppm), B treatment (5 ppm), C treatment (7 ppm), and D treatment (9 ppm). The results showed that administration of saponin with different doses gave a very significant effect on mortality of white snapper (F count> F table). The fastest time of death can be in treatment D (9 ppm) that is 45 minutes, followed by treatment of C (7 ppm) that is 74.6 minutes, then treatment B (5 ppm) is 91 minutes and longest time of death in treatment A ( 3 ppm) ie 128.6 minutes. The water quality of the research media is still feasible for the medium of snapper maintenance ie temperature 290 C, salinity 33 ppt, pH 7.82-8,10, DO 5,6-6,4, ammonia 0,11-0,13 ppm  Keywords: White snapper, dose of saponin, mortality

Abstract

Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the freshwater commodities which has high economic value and has been farmed in many countries around the world, including Indonesia. One of the obstacles in the cultivation of nile tilapia is fish diseases. One type of fish diseases often suffered is a bacterial disease caused by Aeromonas hydrophila, which affects freswater fish species in tropical waters. This research aims to find indications of Aeromonas hydrophila bactery infection in nile tilapia gift (Oreochromis niloticus) and water quality measurement of the nile tilapia farming pond in Karanganyar Fish Breeding Center. This research was held on 27th Desember 2016 - 23th January 2017. The method used in this research is a sample survey methods and examination of test bacteria by conventional method, sampling is done on 3 ponds at Karanganyar Fish Breeding Center which each pond is taken three fish. Then, the samples were analyzed in Fish Quarantine Class II of Tanjung Mas, Semarang. The result showed that farmed nile tilapia gift in the fishpond in fish Breeding Center of Karanganyar has indicated 7.40% infected with the bacterium Aeromonas hydrophila, which 3,70% in the pond B, with the samples code B3.liver and 3,70% in the pond C, with the sample code C1.gill filament. The value of water quality parameter measured in the range of optimal for cultuation of fish. Keywords: Oreochromis niloticus, Aeromonas hydrophila, the fishpond in Fish Breeding Center of Karanganyar.

Abstract

pakan merupakan salah satu faklor yang dapat rnenunjang dalam perkembangan budidaya ikan secara intensif maupun semi intensif, baik ikan air tawar, ikan air payatl, maupun ikan air laut. Sedangkan pakan itu dibutuhkan oleh ikan sejak mulai dari ukuran larva (burayak), sampai ukuran induk. penggunaan lemak dalam pakan ikan sangat penting arlinya dalam menunjang pertumbuhan ikan. Karen'a lemak merupakan sumber energi yang memiliki nilai cukup tinggi dibanding protein dan karbohidrat. Penggunaan lemak sebagai sumber energi sebenamya hanya sebagai "Protein sparing" yaitu lemak mempunyai fungsi untuk menggantikan protein sebagai sumber energi, sehingga p.nggun*n protein dapat dihemat. Untuk memaksimalkan pertumbuhan maka penggunaan lemakbalam pakan buatan diperlukan dalam jumlah tertentu. Pertumbuhan ikan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pakan oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan penelitian, pengaruh penambahan berbagai dosis minyak ikan yang berbeda pada pakan buatan tefiadap pertumbuhan benih ikan patin.Kata Kunci : Minyak lkan, Dosis, Pertumbuhan, Benih Ikan Patin

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan salinitas terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup larva udang vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei). Metode penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut yaitu A (Salinitas 10 0/00), B (Salinitas 12,5 0/00), C (Salinitas 15 0/00), D (Salinitas 17,5 0/00). Larva udang vannamei PL 13 ditebar pada akuarium dengan kepadatan 20 ekor/akuarium. Parameter yang diamati adalah laju pertumbuhan, tingkat kelangsungan hidup (SR) dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan salinitas berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup larva udang vannamei (F Hitung > F Tabel). Pada salinitas 17, 5 0/00 memberikan hasil tertinggi terhadap pertumbuhan bobot larva udang vannamei sebesar 0,063 g dan kelangsungan hidup 100 %. Kualitas air penelitian layak untuk media pemeliharaan larva udang vannamei, yakni suhu 26-30 OC, pH 8,398,56, DO 6,03-6,05.Kata Kunci : Larva udang vannamei, salinitas, pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup

Abstract

To produce certain quality germ of goldfish artificial fertilization is made. The obstacle is insufficient fish sperm becauseof inadequate male mather and the gonad which arent simultaneously mature. To solve this problem, the fish sperm is stored by using thinning agent. The agent has to sustain sperm life during the storage. One of the medium is glycerined-milk. The research aims to find out the effect of glyserine with different concentration on thining milk to sperm motility and percentage of eggs hatching. Different glyserine concentration treatments are A) 0% B) 1% C) 3% D) 4%. After three days storage, the sperm motility is done by using microscope. The result show that variety of glyserine concentration in thinning milk give obvious effect to sperm motility percentage, fertility percentahe, and egg hatching. The highest sperm motility percentage obtained by treatment D (96,28 %) followed C 95.68 %, B (91,90 %), A (90,48), and E (89,04). The percentage of Fertilization are D,B,A,E with result 97,44 %, 94,64%, 90,92%, 89,91 %, 89,32 % respectively. The percentage of hatching are D (86.85 %), C (85.41%), B (84,23), A (83,73) and E (78,16). The water quality during research is still on the reasonable range to egg hatching. Abstract

Mangrove rehabilitation activities are often done in Indonesia, but often fail. The several factors often lead to failure is, unattended reforestation, lack of coordination among related institutions, and lack of community participation. The methode in this study is evaluation by percentage analysis. The results showed that the physical condition in the village of Jenu in accordance with the growth of mangrove, with texture of substrate sand. The role of government institutions in the village of Jenu is good enough, by nurturing and directing the community to understand the importance of mangrove forests, in addition the community is also directed to form a farmer group with the name of wanamina bahari.Key word ; Mangrove, rehabilitation, reforestation activities.

Abstract

Ikan sebagai  organism yang hidup dalam media air sangat dipengaruhi oleh tekanan osmotic tubuhnya, agar proses fisiologis di dalam tubuh berjalan normal, maka diperlukan suatu tekanan osmotic yang relative konstan. Terjadinya osmoregulasi pada ikan adalah akibat adanya gradient konsentrasi ion-ion )terutama Na+ dan K+) antara intraseluler dan ekstraseluler, sehingga melalui pompa Na+ - K+ ikan akan melakukan transport aktif ion Na+ dan K+.untuk mempertahankan konsentrasi ion dalam tubuhnya sehingga fungsi fisiologis organ-organ tubuhnya dapat berjalan normal dan transport aktif ini akan mengakibatkan terjadinya konservasi energi dalam tubuh ikan. Kata Kunci : Ikan, Osmoregulasi, Pompa Natrium-Kalium

Abstract

This research aims to study the effect of cultivation media with the salinity differences on the feed usage, growth, osmotic work (TKO) and survival rate of Spotted Babylon (Babylonia spirata L.) and to find the best cultivation media with the salinity differences on the feed usage, growth, osmotic work (TKO) and survival rate of Spotted Babylon (B. spirata L.). The animals used in this study were obtained from Jepara water area with the average weight of 8,37±0,032 g/. There were 81 animals and raised in 56 days. The natural feed to give was Juwi fish with the amount of 5% of their body weight per day. The research method used in this study was a laboratory experiment with completely randomized design. The treatment use was the salinity differences of the cultivation media with salinity rate of A (27 ppt), B (31 ppt) and C (35 ppt). The results show that the salinity differences of the cultivation media significantly affected (P<0.01) on the feed usage, growth, osmotic performance, but insignificantly affected on the survival rate of Spotted Babylon (B. spirata L.) The cultivation media with the salinity rate of 31 ppt was the best salinity for the feed usage, growth, and osmotic performance of Spotted Babylon (B. spirata L.)Keywords: Spotted Babylon (Babylonia spirata L.), feed usage, salinity, domestication.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different natural feeding of Betta fish growth and to know what types of natural food that provides growth Betta fish is best. Research was conducted that the Laboratory of Aquaculture Faculty of Fisheries University of Pekalongan on the date of 12 June to 12 July 2010. This study used a complete randomized desaign with 3 treatments and each treatment is repeated 3 times. The treatment applied are different types of natural food is Daphnia sp, mosquito larva an silk Worm. Results of analysis of variance showed that differences in types of natural food which is given a very real effect on the growth of Betta fish. Tukey’s test further showed that the treatment using silk Worms were significantly different to the treatment using mosquito larva and treatment using Daphnia sp. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara terpadu oleh berbagai pihak terkait dengan tujuan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Potensi-potensi  yang dapat dikembangkan antara lain potensi sumberdaya alam dan sumberdaya manusia melalui kegiatan pengembangan budidaya kerang hijau (Perna viridis) yang dilakukan oleh kelompok nelayan “gulamah” sebagai sumber pendapatan alternatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengkaji tingkat pengetahuan dan respon kelompok nelayan “gulamah” terhadap kegiatan pengembangan budidaya kerang hijau di kawasan pesisir Kota Tegal. Potentials that can be developed include the potential of natural resources and human resources through the development of green shellfish cultivation (Perna viridis) conducted by the group of fishermen "gulamah" as an alternative source of income. The objective of this research was  to study the level of knowledge and response of fishermen group "gulamah" to the development activities of shellfish cultivation in the coastal area of Tegal City. The results of the analysis show that the Tegal City government and the higher education institutions in the Coastal Areas of Tegal City have a enough significant role in the cultivation development process. green shells.fishermen group "Gulamah" is a high significant role in the development of green shellfish cultivation, especially in improving the quality of human resources based on knowledge, marketing, providing facilities and infrastructure of cultivation activitiesKeywords: Fishermens group,cultivation of mussel, potential development.
