Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding vitamin C in artificial feed and the optimum dose to the growth of snakehead fish seeds. The research method used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used were: A (giving vitamin C at a dose of 50 mg/kg of feed), B (giving vitamin C at a dose of 100 mg/kg of feed), C (giving vitamin C at a dose of 150 mg/kg of feed), D ( giving vitamin C at a dose of 200 mg/kg of feed). The results showed that the highest average biomass growth was obtained in treatment D with a dose of vitamin C 200 mg/kg of feed, the increase in biomass reached 3.04 grams. While the lowest growth was obtained in treatment A with a dose of vitamin C 50 mg/kg of feed resulting in an average growth of 1.09 grams. The results of the analysis of variance on the growth of snakehead fish seed biomass showed that the calculated F value was greater than F table 1% and 5%. The range of water temperature during the study was between 27 -30 o C, water pH ranged from 7.4-7.6 and dissolved oxygen in water (DO) ranged from 4.2-4.9 mg/l. Abstract

AbstractPT. Menjangan Mas Nusantara is one of the biggest L. vannamei shrimp pond companies in Banten Province. The purpose of this study was to see the financial feasibility status of the intensive pattern of L. vannamei shrimp culture at PT. Menjangan Mas Nusantara, Pandeglang, Banten. The research method used in this research is quantitative descriptive research method with data collection techniques based on purposive sampling. The data collected for this research are water quality data, investment costs and facilities, fixed capital data, variable capital data, and shrimp harvest data. Based on the analysis of research data, the water quality parameters during the shrimp culture period are quite good and still in accordance with the water quality standard values for shrimp culture. For the analysis of business profitability, the value of business profits is Rp. 1.009.054.324, -, R/C Ratio 1.48, BEP Unit 7,551 kg, BEP Sales Rp. 328.483.624,-, and business rentabilities of 47.53%. Meanwhile, for the results of the analysis of financial feasibility, the value for the analysis of Net Present Value is Rp. 77.328.735.275, -, Profitability Index 33,56%, IRR value 33.10% and a payback period of 3,6 years. Based on these data, it can be said that overall based on the analysis of the financial aspects, this business activity is quite feasible and productive. So this research is an intensive system of L. vannamei shrimp culture at PT. Menjangan Mas Nusantara is very feasible and profitable to run and be developed on a larger scale. Keywords: vaname shrimp, L. vannamei, financial analysis, aquaculture AbstrakPT. Menjangan Mas Nusantara adalah salah satu perusahaan tambak udang vaname (L. vannamei) terbesar di Provinsi Banten. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui status kelayakan finansial usaha budidaya udang vaname (L. vannamei) pola intensif di PT. Menjangan Mas Nusantara, Pandeglang, Banten. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam riset ini adalah metode penelitian deskriftif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data riset berdasarkan purposive sampling. Adapun data yang dikumpulkan untuk riset ini adalah data kualitas air, data produksi tambak, biaya dan sarana investasi, data modal tetap usaha, data modal kerja, serta data panen udang. Berdasarkan data analisis penelitian, untuk parameter kualitas air selama masa budidaya cukup bagus dan masih sesuai dengan nilai baku mutu kualitas air untuk budidaya udang. Untuk analisis profitabilitas usaha didapatkan nilai keuntungan usaha sebesar Rp. 1.009.054.324, -, R/C Ratio 1,48, BEP Unit 7.551 kg, BEP Sales Rp. 328.483.624, -, dan rentabilitas usaha sebesar 47,53%. Sedangkan untuk hasil analisis kelayakan finansial diperoleh nilai untuk analisis Net Present Value sebesar Rp. 77.328.735.275, -, Profitability Index 33,56%, nilai IRR sebesar 33,10% dan payback period 3,6 tahun. Berdasarkan data tersebut, dapat dikatakan secara keseluruhan berdasarkan analisis aspek finansial kegiatan usaha ini cukup layak dan produktif. Sehingga kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah, kegiatan budidaya udang vaname (L. vannamei) sistem intensif di PT. Menjangan Mas Nusantara tergolong sangat layak dan menguntungkan untuk dijalankan serta dikembangkan dalam skala yang lebih besar. Kata kunci: udang vaname, L. vannamei, analisis finansial, budidaya

Abstract

The research was held in 14th July  – 20th August 2018. Located in Brackish water Laboratory, Fisheries Faculty of Pekalongan University. The aim of this research is to find out the impact of curcuma to increase the growth and survival rate of Nile Tilapia. The treatment that be implemented was extending dosage of curcuma flour (gram)  in 1 kg of artificial  fish feed, such as followed : treatment A 0 ml ( control), B  9 g  of curcuma, C 12 g  curcuma and D 15 g curcuma. The method used was the Completely Randomized Design Method consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The result which had given from the research was treatment D showed the highest growth.  The average of weight of fish which can be reached by every treatment A, B, C, D as described 3,31 g, 4,77 g, 6,8 g, and 8.04 g, The analysis of result showed that all treatments have different effects for growth of fish. The water quality during the research such as temperature between 27-290 C, pH revolve 7,1-7,3 and the salinity was 16-17 ppt which mean all parameters was supported to fish growth.

Abstract

This research was conducted on 14 December - 14 January 2021 at the Brackish Water Cultivation Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries, Pekalongan University. The purpose of this study was to determine the best dose for absolute biomass growth, and survival of vannamei shrimp (Lithopenaus vannamei). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used were: A (feeding without probiotics), B (giving dys synbiotic probiotics at a dose of 10 ml / kg of feed), C (giving dys synbiotic probiotics at a dose of 15 ml / kg of feed), D (giving dys synbiotic probiotics with dose of 20 ml / kg of feed). The results showed that the highest average growth was obtained in treatment D with a dose of dys synbiotic probiotic 20 ml / kg of feed, the increase in biomass reached 2.83 gr. Meanwhile, the lowest growth was obtained in treatment A without probiotics resulting in an average growth of 1.55 g / kg of feed. The results of the analysis of variance on the growth of vannamei shrimp biomass were F count greater than F table 1% and 5%. The range of water temperature during the study was between 28-29OC, water pH ranged from 7.7-7.8 and salinity ranged from 20 ppt. Abstract

           The purpose of this study was to discover the growth response of gift, larasati and sultana tilapia to fields affected by tidal flood, to discover the impact of economic value toward tilapia harvest. The study was conducted in  15 June 2012 – 13 April 2013 in fields impacted by tidal flood in Pecakaran Village Wonokerto Sub-District Pekalongan Regency. Test fishes used were seeds of gift tilapia, larasati tilapia and sultana tilapia with average length 5 - 7 cm. Seeds of gift tilapia, larasati tilapia and sultana tilapia. Stocking density for every hapa sized 100 x 100 x 100 cm was 20 seeds. Data collecte included data of water quality and growth. Water quality parameters measured  were temperature, oxygen, pH, depth, brightness and salinity which were measured every week. Data of tilapia growth was analyzed using variant analysis and to discover tilapia type which yielded the best growth tukey test was used. Data of water quality was analyzed descriptively. The result showed that unproductive fields due to tidal flood could still be used for tilapia cultivation, different test tilapia strain used had significant influence on the growth of test tilapia, larasati tilapia had the highest growth (95.61 gr/day), followed by gift tilapia (90.04 gr/day) and the lowest was sultana tilapia (46.07 gr/day), average water quality (water temperature and pH) of culture media during the study was in adequate range for the live and growth of test tilapia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the decrease in media salinity on survival rates of grouper fish and determine the relationship between the survival rate of the cantang grouper and the level of decrease in media salinity in the acclimation process.The study was conducted in June 2018 at the Brackish and Sea Water Laboratory of Pekalongan University in Pekalongan. The test fish used was a cantang grouper with a size of 3-5 cm. This cantang grouper juvenille is obtained from the Situbondo Marine Cultivation Center. The design used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment applied was a decrease in the level of media salinity as follows: 2 ppt/hour, 4 ppt/hour, 6 ppt/hour and 8 ppt/hour. The survival rate of the grouper fish is analyzed using variance analysis. Furthermore, an orthogonal polynomial analysis was performed to correlate the survival rate of the grouper fish to the level of decrease in media salinity.The highest survival rate of the grouper grouper was obtained at a level of decrease in salinity of 2 ppt/hour ie 91.67%, then a decrease in salinity of 4 ppt/hour ie 61.11%, a decrease in salinity of 6 ppt/hour ie 46.67% , and the lowest at a decrease in salinity of 8 ppt/hour which is 25%.The results of the variance analysis revealed that the level of decrease in media salinity had a very significant effect on the survival rate of bushy groupers. The results of orthogonal polynomial analysis showed that the relationship between the survival rate of the grouper fish to the level of decreasing salinity of linear media with the equation: Y = 109.72 - 10.72 X (R2 = 0.97) (R2 = 0.97).

Abstract

This  study  aimed  to  determine  the  effect  of  the  differences  and  optimal  salinity  levels  on  the efficiency  of  feed  utilization  in  Oreochromis  sp.  Method  used  in  this  study  is  the  experimental laboratory methods. Research carried out by completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3  replications. The  treatment  includes  a  treatment  with  0  ppt  salinity,  Treatment  B:  5  ppt, Treatment C: 10 ppt, Treatment D: 15 ppt.Differences in the low salinity culture media failed to give a positive response to the efficiency of feed utilization of fish seed is cultivated. Decreasing salinity is used, it will affect the efficiency of feed utilization of tilapia seed. In the C treatment (10 ppt  salinity)  gives  the  maximum  response  to  the  efficiency  of  feed  utilization    Oreochromis  sp. which,  at  85.95%  followed  by  treatment  D  (74.26%),  treatment  B  (58.68%)  and  treatment A (48.49%). Treatment differences in salinity media on the efficiency of feed utilization Oreochromis s.  produces a quadratic curve with equation Y = 45.69 + 5.37 X - 0.22 X2. Water quality of the media during the study the water temperature is 25 - 28oC, pH 7.3, and DO from 4.5 to 5.6 ppm, so it is still within the range appropriate for the survival of Oreochromis sp. Keywords: salinity, the efficiency of feed utilization

Abstract

The aim of research is to determine the optimal dose of fertilizer so that it can produce the maximum population growth. This research using Complete Random Design (RAL) method with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. As the treatment is a dose of chicken manure (25%) and quail (75%), the dose oftreatment A 0 gr/L, treatment B 2 gr/L, treatment C 4 gr/L and D treatment 6 gr/L. Based on the results of the experiment, treatment D showed the highest results (1188,33 Ind/L), then followed by treatment C (10440,00 Ind/L), treatment B (9216,67 Ind/L) and treatment A (5440,00 Ind/L), while the responseof the population growth of Daphnia sp. to doses of chicken and quail manure in a culture media showedpolinier with the equation Y = 5939.33 + 1055.5 X (R2 = 0.96). TheCondition of water qualityduring a research is still apropiate for supporting life and population growth of Daphnia sp.The temperature during the research was 26-28,5C, DO was 2,4-3,8 mg / l, and pH was 6, 5-8, 9.Keywords: Daphnia Sp, Culture, Chicken manure, quail manure, water quality.

Abstract

Batik Indonesia became more famous after gaining recognition from the United Nations Edutional, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Batik-making is certainly generate waste and pollution , many batik industry that drain effluent wastewater to flow - the flow of water around, causing the flow of polluted water, declining water quality and damage aquatic life (fish, microorganisms , and others). Water is an important medium in the operational activities of aquaculture , this is because the water functions as the survival of fish . The use of poor sand as a filter in an aqueous medium batik waste koi care also determine the effect the survival of fish in the media proficiency level with the treatment of poor sand different, and knowing the poor sand capable of being a substrate that is able to purify water because it has a composition of CaO , Al2O3 and FeO. In testing the media by way of poor sand substrate put the aquarium bottom (sedimentation), clearly visible color change that occurs at the beginning of batik waste water colored dark red to green translucent (for 5 -day precipitation) . Treatment with the best survival percentage in C is 86.76 % (800 g) and D (1000 g) percentage of 93.33 % , while in treatment A (control) fish dying and treatment D percentage of fish life is very low at 13 , 33 % with poor sand 600gr . The test results stated poor sand able to be purifying (demineralization) water.Keywords : poor sand, batik waste water, koi fish
