Abstract

Air circulation and thermal comfort are some of many factors that affects user’s behavior in indoor activity, particularly in learning activity. With appropriate air quality and thermal comfort, it is easier for students to focus on the learning process. In addition, better air circulation can also benefit to the health of the people inside the building, for instance, according to WHO (World Health Organization), appropriate airflow may reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2 which lately has caused a COVID-19 pandemic. However, air circulation and distribution have not a concern yet due to existing room condition and advanced technology that is needed, in L 609 classroom and Heat & Mass Transfer Laboratory, in this research. CFD method implementation for this case is used to show existing air circulation condition and necessary recommendations to get better air circulation. CFD simulation is done 3 dimensionally with 44344 nodes tetrahedral mesh on 2 configuration room condition, which are classified based on air input from AC, door gap, and with or without window opening. Based on CFD simulation results, the 2nd configuration with window opening indicate the best configuration with air velocity around 0,8 m/s dan room temperature 295,8 – 302,1 K. With window opening, the air flow condition met the ANSI/ASHRAE 55 and hoped to reduce COVID-19 spreading.

Abstract

Indonesia is the world’s main exporter of patchouli plants (Pogostemon Cablin Benth). Patchouli plants produce essential oil by distillation; this essential oil has a constituent component called patchouli alcohol and is widely used in the aromatic industry. Therefore, a patchouli refining process is needed so that Indonesia’s patchouli can improve its quality in the eyes of the world. The purpose of this research is to observe the process of cooling hot patchouli steam into patchouli oil to optimize the current process. This study's analytical method is a simulation approach with CFD software. 50 kg of dried patchouli leaves and stems will go through a combustion process and then be distilled in a 150 liter volume tank for 5 hours. During the distillation process, there is a heat transfer phenomenon called conduction and convection. The LMTD value was 327 K, the heat transfer rate was 103,39 W, the overall heat transfer was 223,45 W/m2K, the NTU value was 0,018, and the system's effectiveness was 0.89% using LMTD and the -NTU method.

Abstract

Electrocardiograms (EKGs) are signals created by the electrical activity of the heart muscle and displayed on the EKG device's monitor. Using the EKG recording, the primary characteristics for diagnosing the status of the human heart can be determined. The death rate of heart patients can be reduced through early identification of cardiac problems. In ECG readings, it is frequently affected by several disruptions caused by muscle contractions and electrode movement. Numerous investigations on ECG signal denoising techniques have been undertaken earlier. This article examines the testing of the performance of EKGs using the denoising technique based on the Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) algorithm. In this work, many metrics were utilized to evaluate the ECG signal denoising technique: mean square error (MSE), mean absolute error (MAE), and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). In this investigation, the ECG data was contaminated with noise from muscle artifacts (MA), additive Gaussian white noise (AWGN), electrode movement (EM), and baseline wander (BW). The noise-contaminated ECG signal is subsequently subjected to the denoising process. Calculate the MSE, MAE, and SNR values of the signal after it has been denoised. This study includes a scenario for testing three thresholding techniques with four distinct types of noise. The performance of the hard thresholding method is superior for all types of noise. MSE is produced by AWGN, which is 0.15, 0.28, and 9.9 dB. MA noise generates MSE, MAE, and SNR values of 0.4, 0.033, and 41.0 dB, respectively. The EM noise has an MSE of 0.010, an MAE of 0.04, and an SNR of 30.8 dB. The MSE produced by BW noise is 0.008; the MAE and SNR values were 0.0356 and 28.5, respectively.

Abstract

Twitter is a social networking service that has undergone tremendous growth and is gaining worldwide popularity at an accelerated rate. Twitter allows for the expression of unbiased thoughts on a variety of issues and can assist businesses in providing public feedback on well-known brands and items. Twitter is having trouble with good and negative answers. Researchers evaluated English-language tweets to determine the proportion of positive and negative replies to popular companies and items. This study will explore Twitter sentiment analysis utilizing the Grid Search Algorithm (GSA) and the support vector machine (SVM) technique. GSA is utilized by the feature selection model to optimize the classification procedure. In this work, training data and testing data are required to do sentiment analysis. Sanders Twitter 0.2 utilizes a dataset consisting of tweets retrieved from Twitter using the search terms @apple, #google, #microsoft, and #twitter. The collected dataset was manually annotated and included 654 negatives, 570 positives, 2503 neutrals, and 1786 irrelevant entries. Data are loaded, tokenized, weighted, preprocessed, filtered, and classified to conduct a sentiment analysis. The application's sentiment analysis achieved a degree of accuracy of up to 79% based on testing. The ratio of neutral and bad tweets on data sandboxes tends to be greater than the percentage of positive tweets, hence optimization rather than accuracy is obtained.

Abstract

Andon refers to an information system aimed at management, maintenance, planners, or other workers regarding quality, process, or quantity issues. To support accurate data communication, a reliable protocol and high precision are required. The Modbus TCP/IP protocol is compatible with Andon systems. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Modbus TCP/IP communication in the application of production data visualization in online production systems. At a certain distance, the antenna's data must display the data's precision in real time. The average data transfer time at the farthest distance tested, 50 meters, was 0.0043 seconds, indicating that the longer the distance between the client and server, the longer the waiting time tends to be, but does not exceed 0.01 seconds if it does not affect production activities. These results are still pertinent to the information required by the organization.

Abstract

No two fingerprints are identical, as everyone has their own characteristics. The most fundamental problem lies in the results of the fingerprint image, typically due to inconsistencies in the emphasis of the fingerprint and the position of the fingerprint, resulting in inconsistencies in the thickness of the black line and shifting positions, which negatively impact the overall performance of the system. To solve this issue, research is required on a classifier that assumes all attributes exist independently. The NBC (Naïve Bayes Classifier) is a classifier based on the assumption that all attributes are independent. The NBC method for gender classification based on fingerprints consists of three steps. The initial step is to evaluate the quality of the image to be processed. This is demonstrated by the consistency of the grayscale values, which are not skewed when converted to a binary image. The second is the selection of data that exhibits no data deviation, which also leads to errors in the classification procedure that follows. With the existence of machine learning, class-based measurement formulations can be acquired through training. Even with unbalanced data, it is preferable to use NBC for classification purposes.

Abstract

This study discusses the phenomenon of spring-back and spring-go in the bending kinematic forming using V-bending dies process and Electrolytic zinc-coated steel sheet (SECC/JIS G 3313) material. The zinc layer on the galvanized steel surface should not be damaged during the material forming process. The zinc layer on the galvanized steel sheet will affect the metal forming process. This study uses an experimental design with four input parameters, namely v-die opening L (mm), punch angle (degree), punch speed (mm/minutes), and bending force (kN). The smallest spring-back was obtained in the 4th test sample: the v-die opening of 35 mm, the punch angle of 40o, the punch speed of 30 mm/minute, and the bending force of 7.50 kN. The minor spring-back degree was 1.67o. Meanwhile, the smallest spring-go obtained in the second sample, namely the v-die opening of 30 mm, the punch angle of 50o, the punch speed of 40 mm/minute, and the bending force of 7.00 kN, the minor spring-go degree of 0.92o was obtained. These results show that the best spring-back degree for SECC/JIS G 3313 material is obtained when the bending process is performed with the v-die bending parameter of 30 mm, punch angle of 50o, punch speed of 40 mm/minute, and bending force of 7.00 kN.

Abstract

Today's cybercrime methods are extremely diverse. The methods employed by attackers are becoming more diverse and intricate. Malicious software, commonly referred to as malware, is utilized in these various attacks. Malware threats and their propagation can be accomplished in several different ways. Good governance facilitates prevention via migration, assisting the security team and network infrastructure IT. This paper discusses efforts to enhance the security of the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) to detect cybercrime on the network. Based on the results of the conducted experiments, we determined that by updating the Simple Network Time Protocol, implementing the client-server antivirus, and scanning every client connected to the local network or centrally, we could detect the types of attacks that frequently occur on the network system, thereby protecting all client computers from malware, viruses, worms, and Trojan horses. Based on the antivirus migration data, the employed research method can find information on cybercrimes that involve malware that enters the network and is successfully cleaned or quarantined before being automatically blocked.
