Abstract

Stunting can have an impact on child development, therefore comprehensive efforts are needed, one of which is through educational media. Stunting in Indonesia is still a significant public health problem, lack of parental understanding of good nutrition is part of the cause of stunting. In the development of Information Technology, it has a role in stunting prevention efforts, both in terms of monitoring, education, and data-based decision making. The purpose of this research is to create educational media that can be used as a learning tool and increase the understanding of mothers and prospective mothers about stunting. This application is built on the Android platform and can function using the Internet of Things (IoT) concept. This research applies a prototyping method that is developed based on user needs, as well as a mobile interface guidelines approach to guide the design of user interfaces that are tailored to target users. Based on the results of the research, an educational media design on stunting prevention has been created. The Android-based stunting prevention education application is designed to provide easily accessible, interactive and personalised information on the importance of balanced nutrition, a healthy diet and environmental hygiene. The app provides features such as exclusive breastfeeding guidelines, information on nutritious foods, health care tips for pregnant women and toddlers, and educational quizzes.

Abstract

In providing health center services, quality and patient safety must be paid attention to. One of the efforts that must be made to improve the quality of the health information system in community health centers is that they must have a good document storage system. The administration of medical records can be carried out well if all components related to the administration of medical records, starting from the admission section, data processing (assembling and analysis), storage and retention to destruction are carried out in accordance with established procedures. Retention systems that are still manual cause medical record files to pile up, making it difficult  to find the files needed and causing retention activities to not run effectively and efficiently, so a medical record retention application is needed that makes it easier for health facilities to process medical record file data that is no longer active. The aim of this research is to carry out data processing as a stage in designing a medical record retention application in an effort to increase efficiency in managing health information at the Medan Helvetia Community Health Center. The type of research is qualitative descriptive research. By collecting data through interviews and documentation. The results obtained in this research are the design of a medical record retention system application using UML (Unified Modeling Language) modeling, namely Flowmap, Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship Diagram and output reports in the form of active and inactive medical record file data at the Helvetia Health Center in Medan Microsoft Excel application form.

Abstract

It is important to evaluate readiness. Rafflesia hospital has implemented SIMRS, thus opening up opportunities for information system development through the implementation of RME. To achieve this, the readiness to use RME must be thoroughly evaluated. This research uses a descriptive approach. While the type of data obtained is primary data from medical and non-medical officers. HR readiness for RME implementation is 34, indicating that HR has not understood RME well, seeing that the benefits are lacking, especially in the IT field, and most officers do not know about RME. Organizational work culture is 31, indicating that there is an understanding that RME will change the work culture of the organization. When RME is used, there is a tendency to accept and support. In frequency 28, governance and leadership showed that there was an understanding of the value of electronic medical records in relation to IT management strategy and support and that decision makers were committed to implementing RME. In frequency 39, infrastructure indicates that information technology capacity is strong and the likelihood of successful RME adoption is high. In general, Rafflesia Hospital is well prepared to implement RME, as indicated by the RME Implementation Readiness Assessment Interpretation.

Abstract

Health insurance claims are submitted by health facilities to BPJS Health to request payment of health service costs. The process of submitting claims from RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen to BPJS Kesehatan does not always run smoothly. Every month, claim files that do not meet the BPJS claim verification requirements are returned by BPJS Kesehatan to RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen due to not passing verification because the submitted claim does not meet the requirements for BPJS Kesehatan claims, so BPJS needs to reconfirm with the hospital. The purpose of this research is to analyze and study the various categories of causes of delayed BPJS Health claims on outpatients at RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen. The research method used in this article is descriptive qualitative with a cross sectional study design. Data collection was carried out by document review and structured interviews . The data source was obtained from the Medical Records Installation section for the period August-October 2023. The research results show that 99% (39,896) of the files passed verification and 1% (552) of the files were pending out of a total of 40,448 pending claim files submitted to BPJS Health for the period August-October 2023. There were five categories of causes of the most pending claims in the period August-October 2023, dominated by the category of re-control cases without any indication of not being guaranteed, with 123 pending claim files. Abstract

The medical record storage room is a place to store patient medical record files. Physical risk factors faced by officers include inappropriate lighting, uncomfortable temperatures, narrow distances between shelves, and room locations far from registration. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature and was conducted in the RSU Medical Records filling room. Madani Medan, aims to analyze these physical risk factors. Data was collected from four informants through interviews and observations, then analyzed qualitatively. The research results show that the lighting in the filling room is inadequate, especially in the corner of the room with closed windows and high ceilings, causing the lights to flicker frequently which interferes with comfort and work efficiency. Dim lights impact productivity and accuracy of file placement, and can trigger drowsiness. The room temperature was uncomfortable because the AC was broken and there were only two fans which did not cool the room enough, making the officers feel hot and sweaty. Each shelf about 60 cm apart was considered too narrow, hampering movement and slowing document retrieval, while the height reached 2.8 meters. Even though the room is spacious, its capacity is not sufficient to accommodate all the files, causing file accumulation. However, the distance between the registration room and medical record storage is quite close and does not hinder daily operations. This research recommends improvements and additions to adequate facilities to increase the comfort of medical record officers.

Abstract

The registration process is a crucial element in medical record management, ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare services and impacting the quality of services. This study aims to design a web-based patient registration information system to improve the quality of healthcare services and operational efficiency in community health center. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, where data is collected through direct observation, interviews with medical record officers, and literature review. The sample consisted of two medical record officers, and the research was conducted at Pimping Community Health Center (Puskesmas Pimping) on December 20, 2024. For system development, a prototype-based system development method was used. The results of the study reveal that community health centers still use a manual paper-based registration system, leading to recording errors and administrative inefficiencies. To address these issues, a web-based information system has been designed to reduce administrative burdens, improve data accuracy, and accelerate the patient registration process. The implementation of this system demonstrates improved operational efficiency, a reduction in registration errors, and ease for staff in managing patient data through an intuitive interface. As a recommendation, this system requires further testing in real-world settings to gather user feedback, enabling continuous improvements to its features to meet field requirements.

Abstract

By digitizing and integrating patient data, the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) initiative aims to increase the effectiveness and caliber of healthcare services. Using the DOQ-IT method, which encompasses a comprehensive evaluation of organizational support, change management, human resource competency, and technology infrastructure, this study seeks to assess Indonesia's preparedness for EMR implementation. This study reviews ten pertinent journals using a narrative review methodology. The analysis's findings indicate that a number of obstacles still stand in the way of Indonesia's EMR implementation preparedness, including inadequate infrastructure in rural regions, inadequate health worker training, reluctance to adapt, and a lack of specialized funding. However, the findings show that health facilities with strong managerial support and ongoing training programs have a better level of readiness. The DOQ-IT method has proven effective in providing a comprehensive picture of organizational readiness, although its implementation requires adaptation to the local context. By overcoming these obstacles through policy development, improving the competency of health workers, and improving infrastructure, comprehensive EMR implementation in Indonesia can be achieved.
