Abstract

Research in the field of teachers Raudhatul Athfal still very less, this discussion fills the shortage. This study aims to find out the teacher's understanding of improving the ability of the expressive language of children through puppet activities that are practiced in the eyes of the Training Practice of Thematic Substance Technical Training Raudhatul Athfal in 2018. Researchers use descriptive research type with a qualitative approach to reveal facts in the field what is obtained through active discussion, brainstorming, and classroom learning practices. As for the result of research that is through the activity of puppet show, the ability of expressive language of children can increase along with the teacher's understanding of language development as one of the development areas that must be achieved from the 6 areas of development contained in the Level of Achievement Level of Child Development as stated in Permendiknas no 137 and 146 of 2014 on the National Standard for Early Childhood Education and Curriculum 2013 Early Childhood EducationKey words: Expressive Speak, Puppet Show, Learning Practice

Abstract

Violence in the name of religion often occurs. Yet when viewed in terms of religious substance, it turns out all religions teach peace, harmony, and goodness. But in fact, why there are acts of violence in the name of religion? Here is where the historical and sociological roots are traced to the rise of violence in the name of religion. Indeed, within a certain period and period, there is often religious violence as an implication of conflict of interest among people who use religious legitimacy. So here is the importance of restoring religious understanding to its original substance values. Apparently, relevant to the religious life of Muslims in Indonesia is to continue to foster and develop Islamic moderation thoughts that are balanced, fair, and mid. Here is the urgency of strengthening the thinking of moderation of Islam in Indonesia as expected by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.  Key words: Splinter Flow, Religious Violence, Moderation of Islam, Liberal, Radical.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the process of civilizing Islamic values in educational activities in the formal education environment. In theory, formal education institutions are considered effective in cultivating Islamic values for character building for learning citizens. Professional practitioner activities combine constellations of values, goals, sanctions, knowledge and methods that are consistently manifested in the form of certain moral ideas. The operational forms as are expressed in everyday actions with a specified level of system and target. The study was carried out through observation and interviews with purposive participants and also snowballing method. All available information is analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study state that the civilizing of character values in formal education institutions becomes effective because psychologically students will be more obedient, fearful, and reluctant to teachers than parents or the general public. The main key is consistent in the application of rules, evaluation, reward and punishment in applying religious character, moderate, intelligent, independent and nationality which is a benchmark for the successful planting of Islamic values to shape the nation's character.  Key words: Civilization, Education, Islamic Values, Character of the Nation.

Abstract

This research uses descriptive research and is carried out in the training to strengthening headmaster’s competency. The research is held on two subject matters: teachers’ supervision and education personnel. The main objective of this study is to determine competency improvement by using problem-solving based worksheets. The subjects were training participants. The study was conducted in 2020. The result shows the value of increased competence is 72.15%. This study concludes that the application of using worksheets based on problem solving can improve training participants’ competence. In addition, the application of this learning approach increases both participation and activities of the participants during the learning process in adults.Keywords: competence; problem solving based learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in understanding of google classroom as multimedia learning with the blended learning method. Utilizing google classroom can help with the collection of tasks, very efficient in terms of costs and users. The design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design, the sample was 30 subject mater teachers assigned to Madrasah Tsanawiyah at the Ministry of Religion in Tasikmalaya regency. The results of the pretest with an average value of 47 and posttest 76 on a scale of 100, while the normalized gain value is at the value of 0.53 with the medium category, it can be said there is an increase in understanding of google classroom in the substantive training of increasing multimedia competency. Keywords: google classroom, understanding, blended learning

Abstract

Languages nowadays are on the way to its disappearance, with almost 50% of them in the process of extinction. The most effective to language preservation is by way using the media. Jurieen Survey (2016) elaborates that 61% of TV viewers fond of watching humor programs, one of which is stand up comedy. Hence, TV media is expected to contribute on language preservation, Bahasa Indonesia in particular. How significant the influence of stand up comedy and what aspects of comedy represent against language preservation are the two primary focuses on the research. Based on the data sources and analysis results, Four aspects of stand-up comedy cover: linguistic, social, economic and religious. The conclusion is stand up comedy can be an effective mean to preserve language and to educate the community. Stand up comedy would be easily accepted and digested by the community, due to its light and humorous presentation style.Keyword: language preservation; mass media; humor

Abstract

Although there is a minimum age regulation of marriage, a case of underage marriage still exists The purpose of research is to know the implication of underage marriage to household integrity. This research type is field research and quantitative descriptive. The result shows that from 15 cases of underage marriage, 10 cases or 67 percent are still intact in marriage. While the remaining 5 cases ends in divorce. It implies that 33 percent of the total underage marriage in 2014 in Gabuswetan ended in divorce. To sum up, underage marriages have great implication to household integrity. They are very vulnerable to divorce.Keywords: underage marriages; divorces; children’s marriage

Abstract

This research aims to find out: (1) the urgency of religious literature on religious understanding’s development; (2) potential radicalism presented in religious education books both in schools and madaris (3) countermeasure of potential radicalism through evaluating religious education books assessed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA). The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with interviews, observation, and documentation studies as the data-gathering tool. In data analysis, researcher uses interactive model involving data reduction, data serving, data display, and conclusion drawing/verifiying. The research findings yield the evaluation policy in the books emerges various cases of religious textbooks, while the various researches and developments findings relate to educational textbooks. Other findings responsed to the law implementation number 3 year 2017 about book matters’ system, Government Regulation number 75 year 2019 on Law Enforcement Regulation, and Minister of Religious Affairs Regulation number 9 year 2018 about religious books evaluation. Quick, precise, and accurate innovation on the evaluation is highly recommended, and technology as well as application is way to solve the problems. Hence, the regulation about religious education book should be immediately issued.  It is also required (special) institutions whose duties and functions are specific to writing, evaluation, and publication in terms of religious educational books (at least equivalent to the first echelon). MORA is expected to charge the issuer openly and transparently as a form of public service with measurable SOP and targets, so that all community guidances of religions could create their respective guidelines on writing and publication.Keywords: radicalism; evaluation; religious education book; MORA

Abstract

Generally, local traditions in urban areas are regressed or extinct along with modernization or globalization processes. But the tradition that is still maintained by a group of people can be found in Kampung Ceger RW 18 Jakasetia Bekasi City. Arisan tradition in this village is motivated by religious factors, Islam. This research analyzes the perpetrators and the tradition values that are oriented on Islamic teachings and its role in Arisan tradition. The phenomenon of Arisan in Betawi community can be analyzed with the motivation theory of Max Weber. The results show the Arisan tradition has religious motivation. The religious motivation element is the Betawi’s existence who belongs to the group Raden and Kai (ordinary people) as perpetrators. Other observed elements are togetherness, reciprocity, watchful, and mutually beneficial. These values are in accordance with Islamic teachings, such as solidarity and righteousness. Thus, the values legitimize Arisan tradition in the Betawi community.Key words: Motivation; Islam; Arisan; Betawi

Abstract

The supervisor’s role is quite essential to support developing teacher competencies, and also to improve their professionalism. In this article, the author formulates the problem: what is the role of supervisors in continuing professionalism development for teachers?. The purpose of this article is to describe strategies executed by supervisor on carrying out the academic task related to improving teacher’s pedagogical and professional competence. The results appertained to their role of improving teacher’s competence both pedagogically and professionally can be accomplished through academic supervision competencies.
