Abstract

The application of evidence-based nursing (EBN) aims to demonstrate the use of ice gel packs to reduce pain in post-cardiac surgery patients undergoing chest tube removal (CTR) in the Intermediate Surgical Ward of Harapan Kita Heart and Vascular Hospital in Jakarta in April 2024. The method used in this EBN application is a pre-posttest control group design, where each group consists of 9 respondents. The Mann-Whitney test results show a significant difference in pain reduction between the intervention group and the control group. In conclusion, post-cardiac surgery patients who received a cold compress using ice gel packs before chest tube removal (CTR) experienced minimal pain increase during the chest tube removal (CTR). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and impaired fulfillment of ADL with emotional responses in post-ischemic stroke patients at the Neurology Clinic of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto. The method used is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The results of the study showed that 60 respondents had characteristic results in the gender category, the most in the male gender, as many as 35 respondents (58.3%) and the most age category at the age of >50 years, as many as 47 respondents (78.3%), post-stroke patients suffered the most extended stroke at a time of >6 months as many as 44 respondents (73.3%). The statistical test results showed (p-value 0.001 = <0.05) ischemic. In conclusion, there is a relationship between family support and impaired fulfillment of ADL with emotional responses in post-ischemic stroke patients at the Neurology Clinic of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto. Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in hemodialysis adequacy between patients using Catheter Double Lumen (CDL) access with Arteriovenous Shunt (AV Shunt) access in the Hemodialysis Room of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Hospital. The method used is quantitative, with a bidirectional cohort study design. The study results showed a difference in hemodialysis adequacy between patients using CDL access and patients using AV Shunt access in the Hemodialysis Room of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Hospital. After the Mann Whitney test was carried out, significant results were obtained, namely p-value = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there was a difference in adequacy between patients using CDL access with AV Shunt access in the Hemodialysis Room of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Hospital with the result that better adequacy was in AV Shunt access. Conclusion: Arteriovenous Shunt (AV Shunt) access has a better adequacy rate than Catheter Double Lumen (CDL) access, as evidenced by the comparative value of AV Shunt and CDL adequacy of 86.6% vs. 44.8%. Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between health education and the prevention of smoking behavior among students at SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. This research method is quantitative and uses a cross-sectional method. The results of this study indicate that the analysis using the chi-square test had a significance level. The statistical test results using chi-square obtained the test results p = 0.001. because the p-value <α = 0.05 means a relationship exists between health education and the prevention of smoking behavior of students at SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. The conclusion is that health education has a significant relationship with efforts to prevent smoking behavior among students. Keywords: Health Education, Smoking Behavior

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of bibliotherapy on children's emotional and psychological problems as part of nursing interventions and to identify factors that can influence the success of its implementation. This research method uses an integrative review approach. The results of the study obtained 10 articles that showed the influence of bibliotherapy as a nursing intervention in overcoming children's psychological and emotional problems, such as reducing anxiety, overcoming stress, and improving self-concept in children who experience certain medical conditions both in hospitals and other service facilities such as SLB or orphanages. Conclusion Bibliotherapy can be applied as one of the interventions in child nursing to reduce psychological problems in children, especially those who are hospitalized or who experience special conditions such as mental retardation or loss of parents. Abstract

This study aims to see the influence of the Influence of Health Education on Increasing Knowledge About HIV/AIDS in Adolescents at SMP X Sentani. The method used is a pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test without a control research design. The results of the study showed that there was a change in the average knowledge before and after being given an intervention in the form of health education (health counseling) with a mean difference of (+ 23.94) and a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000 which means that there is an influence of health education on increasing students' knowledge about HIV/AIDS. The conclusion is that the intervention given in the form of health education has a significant influence on students. There is a difference in the average increase in students' knowledge before and after being given a health education intervention. Keywords: Health, Education, Knowledge

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the incidence of unplanned pregnancies and the role of mothers in the Plaju Health Center. This research was conducted using quantitative methods. The sampling technique was simple random with a total of 32 respondents at the Plaju Palembang Health Center. The results of the study showed that 13 respondents (40.6%) out of 32 respondents did not play a role and 19 respondents (59.4)% played a role. Based on the results of the statistical test using the Chi Squere test obtained a p velue value of 0.002 (p velue < 0.05), it is concluded that there is a relationship between KTD and the role of mothers. Abstract

This research aims to determine the determinants of sexual risk behavior in adolescents. The research method used a cross sectional design, with a sample of teenagers aged 15 to 21 years totaling 348 respondents. The research results show that there is a significant relationship between the role of peers, the role of parents and exposure to social media with sexual risk behavior in adolescents. The results of the analysis obtained the highest OR value for the peer role variable (OR=3.176), peers played a role 3.176 times in having sexual risk behavior. In conclusion, the effective role of parents and teachers both at home and at school is expected to prevent sexual risk behavior in adolescents. Keywords: Determinants, Behavior, Adolescent,s Sexual

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying warm compresses to reduce hyperthermia in children experiencing febrile seizures. This study method uses a case study method with a nursing process. The results of this study through the dependent T-test analysis, namely the P-Value, is 0.000, which is smaller than the significant level α (0.05). Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy on improving sleep quality in older people. The research method used is a pre-experimental design case study with a one-group pre-test - post-test design. The results of the study showed that based on the results of the statistical test, namely the Paired sample t-test, a p-value of 0.004 was obtained, so the P-Value <0.05, which means that there is an effect of lavender aromatherapy on improving sleep quality in older people before and after aromatherapy. In conclusion, lavender aromatherapy significantly affects older people who experience poor sleep quality, as indicated by a significant difference between the values ​​before and after the intervention.
