Abstract

The research is aimed to gain a map of the cities/districs and the competitive advantage of creative industry sectors  as a base of city branding. In order to achieve this goal, secondary data from BPS and Bekraf are used. There are 15 creative industry sectors in 35 Cities of Central Java.These data are analysed by using three methods, those are ShiftShare, Location Quotient, and Specialization Indices.ShiftShare analysis is employed to map the competititve advantage of creatice industry sectors in Central Jawa. While Location Quotient, and Specialization Indicesare used to map cities/districts in Central Java which has a competitive advantage to empower the creative industry (results of shift share analysis).The analisys results show that Surakarta City, Demak District and Magelang District have ability to empower their creative industry sectors to push their economic growth.The results also show that Klaten District which is a transit district of the two center tourism city (Surakarta and Yogyakarta), their manufacture sectors have a positive competitve shift and  biggest contribution for their economic growth. Acomodation and beverages, information and communications, also company service are the primacy creative industry sectors of Surakarta City and Magelang District. While trade is the primacy creative industry sector of Demak District

Abstract

Improvement of Impulse Buying Students in Semarang on Local Fashion Products Through Ethnocentrism, Brand Image, and Country of Origin (COO)Impulse buying is a very interesting phenomenon for retailers and marketers because it is the biggest market share and occupy a very important position and can increase sales. The aim of the research is to analyze whether the Country of Origin ( COC), brand image and ethnocentrism significantly affect students impulse buying of local fashion in Semarang city. Data analysis used in this research is linier regression analysis. The result shows that COO the only variables that do not significantly affect students impulse buying. Need a strategy of brand image reinforcement and promotion emphasized on the love of domestic products. Promotion of products at the local level of Semarang city needs to be improved by taking into account the values of excellence and local wisdom.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v8i1.6979

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify how to increase customer satisfaction of Internet Banking Service Quality at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Unit Banyumanik Semarang with five dimensions of service quality which were tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and emphaty.Data in this research were obtained from questionnaires which spread to 100 (one hundred) respondents. The data analysis methods are validity test, reliability test, satisfaction index analysis, and satisfaction gap test.The results from reliability and validity tests showed that items of service quality dimension such as tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy were valid and reliable. Based on the result of satisfaction index analysis, the weighting average score of Internet Banking quality service is 4,046. That score is between 3,43 – 4,23 which means satisfied. Based on the result of satisfaction gap test the increase of satisfaction established on the fifteen sub indicators show satisfaction, and three sub indicators show dissatisfaction, then it needs special attention and an improvement from PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Unit Banyumanik Semarang for three sub-indicators are not satisfied.

Abstract

This research is based on previous research’s result that there was a image changing of Surakarta City from Batik’s City toward City of traditional Food. There are four objectives of this research, those are; (1) identify Surakarta traditional food’s as functional foods; (2) Mapping the growth of Surakarta’s traditional foods at least five periode; (3) mapping the potential of Surakarta’s traditional foods as a culture heritage’s foods, functional food dan popular foods. (4) mapping the economic potential of Surakarta’s tradisional foods. The objective of this research will be achieved toward analysis primary and secondary datas. Primary datas are obtained by survey method with 200 respondents and analyzed by using BiPlot, Pearson Correlation and Descriptive method. Sencondary datas are obtained from BPS, and Disperindag, and analyzed by using linier regression dan Pearson Correlation.This researh results that the eight of Surakarta’s traditional foods are culture inheritage’s foods, functional foods, favorite foods and have economic potential to rise t Surakarta’s economy growth. Therefore if the Surakarta’s region government should employ three stages to develope these traditional foods as their food city branding. There are clustering analysis, SAP analysis and developing trust (social capital) toward their food city branding.

Abstract

The existence of Life Laboratory (The Capital Market Gallery of BEI) has not given much benefit to Accounting and Polines Department. For that reason, the acceptance of Life Laboratory's capacity by internalizing Capital Market to students must be done. The purpose of the research is to know the respondent's perception of investment in Capital Market, to know the level of literacy, to know the correlation of literacy level with demographic variables and capitalization design of Capital Market Education on Polines students. The majority of respondents' perceptions of investments in the capital market industry are positive. The level of literacy of respondents is approached with the level of knowledge about the institutional Capital Market, Capital Market products and Securities Trading. In general the level of respondents knowledge about the Capital Market is low - moderate. The research results show that there is no correlation between gender, the origin of the respondent, the level of expenditure with the level of capital market literacy. While the origin of courses and semesters associated with the level of literacy Capital Market. The capital market internalization model begins with the Capital Market school and the following stages are stocks. In the early days, new investor assistance is needed until adult investors (able to transact on their own).

Abstract

The banking sector has experienced a decline in demand for credit and a lack of disbursement, which has had an impact on the income of bank credit borrowers. Knowing the financial performance of banks during the Covid-19 pandemic can provide a good explanation of the problems faced by the banking sector. The analysis used in this study was a comparative comparison of two observations using a paired sample T-test. The variables used in this study are ROA, ROE, BOPO, LDR, CAR and NPL. This research found that the Covid-19 pandemic affected the decline in bank performance in general. This can be seen in the values of ROA, ROE, RORA, NPM, LDR, and NIM which have decreased in value before and after the pandemic. This research also found that the COVID-19 pandemic increased bank risk during the pandemic. This can be seen in the BOPO and KPMM variables which have increased from before and after the pandemic.

Abstract

Currently, diabetes mellitus is a prevalence in Indonesia, with a rate of 2.1% based on relevant diagnoses or symptoms. It is estimated that by 2030, the number of individuals suffering form diabetes mellitus will reach 21.3 million. Conversely, the proportion of individuals with prediabetes is 2-4 times higher than those with diabetes. Physical activity has been identified as a preventive measure for prediabetes. Several studies have demonstrated the significant impact of physical activity on glycemic control. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of different physical activities on glycemic control in prediabetic clients residing in Semarang municipality. A randomized control trials with a pretest-posttest design was conducted on 60 prediabetic clients using different treatments, including healthy/slow walking, brisk walking, and a combination of both slow and brisk walking. The data of the study were analyzed using univariate, and bivariate analysis using repeated ANOVA. All statistical analyses were carried out using SPSS version 22. The average level of glycemic control before intervention in the healthy walking group was 5.57%, which decreased to 5.46% after intervention. The combination group decreased from 5.93% to 5.78%, and the slowly walking group decreased from 5.74% to 5.71%. However, there was no significant effect of slowly walking on glycemic control (HbA1c levels). In contrast, brisk walking and the combination of slow walking and brisk walking had a significant effect on glycemic control (p<0.05). The combination of the physical activity group demonstrated the greatest impact on glycemic control (p<0.05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan struktur modal optimal yang dapat memaksimalkan nilai perusahaan pada PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur tahun 2017-2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Penentuan struktur modal optimal menggunakan perhitungan biaya modal, biaya modal rata-rata tertimbang (WACC) dan nilai perusahaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur dapat memiliki struktur modal optimal yang sejalan dengan model trade-off theory. Struktur modal dapat optimal, apabila bauran struktur modal yang digunakan dapat mendukung peningkatan nilai perusahaan. PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur selama tahun 2017-2021, memiliki struktur modal optimal pada tahun 2021, yaitu pada saat komposisi utang sebesar 69,77% dan ekuitas sebesar 30,23%. Bauran ini menghasilkan WACC sebesar 4,84% dan nilai perusahaan sebesar Rp191,62 triliun.

Abstract

This study tried to analyse perfomance evaluation of banking asset management returns based on fundamental and macro factors from BUSND and foreign bank. This research also analyse the different of banking asset management Performance on BUSND and Foreign Bank. Multiple regression analysis method, F significance test, coefficient of determination and t significance test was used in This research. In order to find out the difference in asset return management between BUSND and foreign banks, a Chow-test was carried out.This study simultaneously found that fundamental factors proxied by the ratio of CAR, NIM, BOPO, LDR, and macro factors using SBI interest rates and exchange rates had a significant effect on ROA both in BUSND and foreign banks. In BUSND the independent variables for fundamental factors that have a significant effect on ROA are CAR, NIM, BOPO, and macro factors, namely the SBI interest rate, for foreign banks the results of the independent variables for fundamental factors that affect ROA are CAR, BOPO, and LDR . For the results of the Chow test, it was found that there was a significant difference between BUSND and foreign banks in terms of managing returns from the placement of bank assets (Return On Assets).

Abstract

The era of digitalization is underway in Indonesia. One of the influential aspects is the business environment. In the business world, economic transaction are vital in developing a cashless society. The purposed of the study to assess the socio demographic variables (gender, marital status, education level, occupation dan income) correlate of the payments preferences. The sampling method was purposive sampling. An online survey of 100 participants  was conducted   among a sample of people who aged 20 years and over and have used e-money for three months. The survey included two parts: first, socio demographic characteristics and second the preferency of payments. Cross tabulation and Chi Squared test were used. The results showed that the majority participans was under 40 years old and have more one instruments of e-money. E-money used for on line shopping, transportation and to pay the bills. The conclution of the study there was no significant correlation between the preference of payment methods with socio demographic variables.
