Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in improving employee job satisfaction at the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Cinere Fire Department, Depok City. This research is motivated by the high risk of work accidents faced by firefighters, as well as indications of job dissatisfaction related to OHS implementation conditions in the field. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through field observation and in-depth interviews with five purposively selected informants, consisting of the Head of UPT, Squad Commander, Operational Member, Administrative Staff, and Security Officer. Data were analyzed using NVivo software through Word Frequency Query, Mind Mapping, and Project Map. The results showed that OHS implementation has generally been running but has not been fully optimal, particularly regarding personal protective equipment (PPE) availability, training distribution, and organizational support consistency. All OHS elements studied have a close relationship with job satisfaction through eight linkage pathways. Furthermore, social solidarity and family-like bonds among employees serve as a strong compensating factor supporting job satisfaction even when physical OHS conditions have not been fully optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of organizational culture in improving employee loyalty at the Cinere District Office, Depok City. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using purposive sampling involving six informants. Primary data were collected through structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that organizational culture plays an important role in improving employee loyalty, which is reflected in employees’ sense of belonging to the organization, compliance with organizational regulations, responsibility in carrying out duties, willingness to cooperate, and harmonious interpersonal relationships. However, several obstacles were identified, including employee tardiness, lack of initiative in completing assigned tasks, and technical problems with the KMOB application affecting attendance and performance reporting. The study concludes that a positive organizational culture contributes significantly to employee loyalty and supports the improvement of effective and high-quality public services.

Abstract

Post-COVID-19 digital transformation has driven many organizations to adopt hybrid work systems as a strategy to maintain both productivity and employee work-life balance. This article analyzes the implementation of a hybrid work system and its impact on employee productivity at a national-scale interior design firm headquartered in South Jakarta; it highlights findings from a 2021 internal survey showing that 75.5% of the 1,313 employees preferred a hybrid work model over working exclusively from the office or from home. The study employs a phenomenological qualitative approach to explore employees' subjective experiences, utilizing three informants selected purposively based on their direct involvement in the hybrid work system's implementation. The results indicate that flexibility regarding work time and location enhances efficiency and the quality of work outcomes—particularly for tasks requiring high levels of concentration—though its effectiveness relies heavily on self-discipline, adequate technological support, and clear output-based supervision mechanisms.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of maintaining work-life balance among employees in facing increasingly complex job demands. The research aims to examine the influence of employee well-being and workload, both partially and jointly, on the work-life balance of employees at PT. Indomarco Prismatama, Jakarta Branch 1. The study employs a quantitative survey approach with 77 respondents. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression, along with t-tests and F-tests at significance levels of 0.05 and 0.01. The results indicate that employee well-being has a positive and significant effect on work-life balance, contributing 46.5%. Meanwhile, workload also shows a positive and significant effect, contributing 62.0%. Simultaneously, both variables explain 65.0% of the variation in work-life balance, while the remaining portion is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings are consistent with previous literature emphasizing that physical, psychological, and social well-being, along with realistic workload management, are key determinants in maintaining work-life balance. Organizational support for employee well-being has been proven to enhance job satisfaction, reduce stress, and strengthen employee commitment. The study concludes that integrating employee well-being policies with proportional workload management represents a sustainable managerial strategy. Thus, companies can not only maintain the quality of work-life balance but also improve overall organizational performance.

Abstract

We conducted this study at RSUD Malimping, Lebak Regency, to explore the relationship between teamwork, compensation, and employee competencies and their impact on employee performance. We collected data from 79 employees working in teams using a simple random sampling method. Data analysis using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) revealed that the three factors have a significant relationship and influence each other, especially in the health sector work environment. The results show that effective teamwork can significantly improve employees' competencies, which in turn contributes to improving their performance. In addition, an adequate compensation system not only increases motivation but also encourages the development of employee skills. These three factors—teamwork, compensation, and employee competence—positively impact employee performance at RSUD Malimping, suggesting that a supportive work environment directly affects employee productivity and effectiveness.. Therefore, we expect organizations to foster a harmonious and productive work environment that not only enhances individual performance but also contributes to the overall success of the organization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Return on Assets (ROA) and Current Ratio (CR) on Price to Book Value (PBV) of companies included in the LQ45 index and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2023–2025 period. This study employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The data used are secondary data obtained from companies’ annual financial reports and annual reports. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 28 companies observed over a three-year period, with a total of 84 observations. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 32 through multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results show that ROA has no significant effect on PBV, with a significance value of 0.314 > 0.05. Meanwhile, CR has a positive and significant effect on PBV, with a significance value of 0.013 < 0.05 and a regression coefficient of 0.186. Simultaneously, ROA and CR have a significant effect on PBV, as indicated by an F-value of 4.162 with a significance value of 0.019 < 0.05. The R Square value of 0.093 indicates that ROA and CR are able to explain 9.3% of the variation in PBV, while the remaining 90.7% is explained by other factors outside the research model.

Abstract

Managerial economics is an interdisciplinary field that integrates economic principles with theories and methods of decision-making to assist managers in allocating scarce resources efficiently under conditions of uncertainty, information constraints, and changing business environments. However, managerial decision-making cannot be adequately understood from an economic perspective alone, as managerial choices are also shaped by behavioral, organizational, financial, strategic, and institutional factors. This article aims to analyze the scope and limitations of managerial economics and examine its relationship with other theories and disciplines that contribute to managerial decision-making. The analysis adopts a conceptual approach based on a literature review of managerial economics, decision theory, microeconomics, strategic management, and organizational behavior. The analysis indicates that managerial economics provides a strong analytical framework for evaluating alternatives, incentives, costs, benefits, risks, and efficiency, but its explanatory and practical capacity is constrained when decisions involve subjective preferences, bounded rationality, incomplete information, organizational dynamics, and institutional or political considerations. Therefore, the effectiveness of managerial economics does not depend on the isolated application of economic principles but on their integration with decision theory and complementary management perspectives. The article highlights the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to translating economic analysis into managerial decisions that are more context-sensitive, adaptive, and accountable.
