An incentive mechanism about service effort provided by the manufacturer in a dual-channel supply chain is studied under asymmetric information. The principal-anent models are developed for asymmetric information and symmetric information, and then the optimal fixed payment and the optimal profit sharing ratio are obtained. In contrast to the case under symmetric information, the conclusion implies that the manufacturer’s profit decreases under asymmetric information, the retailer’s profit keep same even lower service level is provided. Thus, the system performance of the supply chain decreases. http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i12.6193

The comparision of Bridgeless Isolated Cuk converter using Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) and Neural controller (NC) is presented in this paper. Due to Diode Bridge Rectifier (DBR) conventional converters suffer from high conduction loss. Bridgeless Cuk converter is used to eliminate the issues. Bridgeless Isolated (BLI) Cuk converter is used to withstand high voltage. Compare to Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) utilize less number of sensors. To obtain unity power factor it is used to work in DCM mode. BLI Cuk Converter is implemented in two controller PID and Neural controller to observe power factor. Performance of BLDC motor is simulated by using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.

Because the greenhouse control systems designed in the past are not adaptable in practice, a new greenhouse control system based on RS485 bus is realized in this paper. A new smart sensor block is developed in the system to acquire field environment factor, which can reduce complex routing and increase reliability of the whole system. The model of solar greenhouse is introduced and fuzzy control is adopted in control unit. Besides, a friendly human-computer interface is developed by LabVIEW. The proposed system has been verified by the experiments in the control of medium single-span greenhouses. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3088

Nowadays, XLPE cable has been widely used because it has better resistance than other cables. XLPE insulation has unique features including a high dielectric strength and high insulation resistance. A lot of researches based on hardware and software have been conducted to prove the effectiveness of XLPE cable such as AC and DC applications and Space Charge Distribution measurement under HVDC at High Temperature. This research focused on analysis of space charge and electric field on XLPE cable with effect of non-uniform contamination layer by using Quickfield Software. Non-uniform contaminations have been applied along XLPE cable using Arsenic Tribromide (AsBr3), Boron Bromide (BBr3), Ethylene Dichloride (CH2C1), Formic Acid (CH1O2), Formamide (CH3NO) and Alcohol element. Presence of these contamination elements represent of underground contamination. The size and layer of the contamination were non-uniform type. From the results, it is shown that lower dielectric constant of contamination will affect more on charge of XLPE insulation. As a conclusion, it can be seen lower dielectric constant value of contamination element greatly affecting the performance of XLPE insulation. Furthermore, size of contamination also influences the content of charge in contamination where the bigger the contamination size, the more charge contained in the contamination.

Thalassemia was known as the red blood cell (RBC) morphology disorder. This disease mostly affects the shape of the red blood cells. Thalassemia becomes the major public health problem when one of the people becomes the carrier of the disease. It can occur within a months after birth or even before birth and results in inappropriate growth and development of babies. Sometimes the affected babies will die shortly after birth. In order to screen thalassemia, there are a few tests need to be done. Firstly by performed Complete Blood Count (CBC) and secondly continued with hemoglobin electrophoresis test. This CBC test will identify the morphology of RBC. Hence, this paper will discuss the methods on identifying the morphology of thalassemia blood cells by using active contour technique. From the result of 16 normal and abnormal blood cell images, the active countour methods able to identifyThalassemia blood cells with accuracy of 90% from the abnormal cell images.

In the last two decades there has been significant leap on the spatial resolution of the satellite digital images which may be very useful for estimating stand parameter required for forest as well as environment management. This paper describes development of stand volume estimator models using SPOT 6 panchromatic and multispectral images with an object-based digital image analysis (OBIA) and conventional pixel-based approaches. The data used include panchromatic band with1.5m spatial resolution, and multispectral band with6m spatial resolution. The proposed OBIA technique with mean-shift algorithm was functioned to derive a canopy cover variable from the fusion of the panchromatic and multispectral, while the pixel-based vegetation index was used to develop model with an original pixel-size of 6 m. The estimator models were established based on 65 sample plots both measured in the field and images. The study found that the OBIA provides more accurate identification with Kappa Accuracy (KA) of 71% and Overall Accuracy (OA) of 86%. The study concluded that the best stand volume estimation model is the model that developed from the canopy cover (C) derived from OBIA i.e., v = 13.47e0.032C with mean deviation of only 0.92%, better than the model derived from conventional pixel-based approach, i.e., v = 0.0000067e16.48TNDVI with a mean deviation of 5.37%.

The in-phase and quadrature modulator (IQ modulator) is a key component in modern wireless transmitter. It provides a convenient method for modulating data bits or symbols onto an RF carrier. It has become the architecture of choice for implementing transmitter signal chains for end applications such as cellular, WiMAX, and wireless point-to-point. However, there are several non-ideal aspects of analog IQ modulator, include IQ gain imbalance, imperfect quadrature, and LO leakage. These imperfections will result in image spectral and degrade MER of the modulator, which in turn degrades bit error rate (BER). Gain matching and phase compensation both affect the total amount of image rejection. Factory calibration can detect the IQ gain and phase mismatch in different frequency and store the correction coefficients in nonvolatile memory. The key issue is how to get the exact mismatch. In this paper, a mathematical model of IQ modulator was established and an analytic solution is obtained about how to get the exact mismatch parameters. With the development of wind power generation technology, the wind turbine blade is becoming more and more important. Modeling and stress analysis of the wind turbine blade are very critical for the further design and the application of wind turbine blade. The small-scale wind turbine blade was focused on, considering the glass fiber reinforced plastic material. Based on the parameters of airfoil and the geometrical parameters of blade, the three-dimension model of blade was established with the modeling software. Then the model was introduced into ANSYS software to carry out the FEM analysis. According to the displacement solution of blade, the maximal displacement occurs in the blade tip while working, but it is less than the safety displacement of wind turbine. And the stress concentration occurs in the center of the blade, which corresponds to the comprehensive stress from the elastic stress solution of the wind turbine blade.Last, it can be found that the thermal stress does not play a major role from the thermal stress solution. The FEM results were compared with the tensile strength of the material and the safe displacement. Therefore, the effectiveness of FEM model and real safety of blade were verified.
