Abstract

Gamification is a motivation and psychological-oriented approach which aims to boost user participation and engagement. It is commonly applied to business process and information systems which need outcomes improvement such as educational system, customer relationship management, human resource management system, health information system, so forth. The main purpose of gamification is using game elements to non-game purpose in order to motivate users. Unfortunately, building gamification system is not similar to build general software because developer needs to identify considerable psychology aspects and also engage other expertise. In this research, gamification framework and its implementation are proposed which took police department as research object. We present gamified-police management system development framework to build the gamified-police management system and its implementation in order to gain police engagement and public trust.

Abstract

Cultivation of ornamental plants in the office is popular among office workers and the general public because it can create a good environment in the area, but the plant growers must pay attention to watering the plants, because it may cause the plant to die. With the advancement of internet of things (IoT) technology, used to control devices wirelessly, this research developed the smart flowerpot system that works through mobile and web applications, using a microcontroller to control the system and connect to users via mobile and web application that can monitor the system, and control the operation both directly and automatically. When soil moisture is reduced to a predetermined value, the system will order the plants to be watered automatically, and when the water level is almost completely reduced, the ultrasonic sensor will send a notification to the mobile application to let the user know, after testing the system, it was found that the smart plant pot can work efficiently and can automatically water the plants.

Abstract

One of the most critical aspects to consider in wireless sensor networks is security, particularly in internet of things (IoT) implementations. Sensor network applications had risen in the past 5 years since these networks have been used in various parts of life (smart residential and commercial buildings, medical, and agriculture). In this study, we provide a novel network of sensors based on the Bluetooth network that may be used to protect commercial buildings. The Bluetooth type HC 06 was chosen since it has a low energy consumption and a communication range of 100 meters. Such security network includes motion sensors and control cameras that are controlled by an Arduino Nano microcontroller. The motion sensor's primary characteristics are solely applicable to humans, and the Arduino Nano is an open-source microcontroller. The key benefit of this research is that it demonstrates how to create a low-cost Bluetooth sensor security network with limited storage space for control movies.

Abstract

Recently, a probabilistic topic modelling approach, latent dirichlet allocation (LDA), has been extensively applied in the arena of document classification. However, classical LDA is an unsupervised algorithm implemented using a fixed number of topics without prior domain knowledge and generates different outcomes with the change in the order of documents. This article presents a comprehensive framework to evade the order effect and unsupervised probabilistic nature. First, the framework creates the vocabulary specific to the category using a weight-dependent model that extracts distinctive features suitable for supervised classification. Then, it transforms a classified cluster of documents from the domain corpus to the relevant topic making it more robust to noise. The framework was tested on a comprehensive collection of benchmark news datasets that vary in sample size, class characteristics, and classification tasks. In contrast to the conventional classification methods, the proposed framework achieved 95.56% and 95.23% accuracy when applied on two datasets, indicating that the proposed algorithm has a better classification capability. Furthermore, the topics extracted from the classified clusters are highly relevant to domain categories.

Abstract

The performance of AlGaN-GaN HEMTs is influenced by the self-heating phenomenon, which leads to the power dissipation that is related to the increase of the local temperature of the device. The study of this increasing of the temperature is executed under different parameters, namely, low field mobility, velocity saturation, thermal conductivity of the substrate. A thermal model is developed to study the effect of this phenomenon on the current-voltage characteristics. Among the techniques to minimize the increase in the local temperature, we based on the good choice of the substrate used in the transistor. To highlight this proposal model, we have made a comparable study between the substrates of silicon and sapphire. Our analytical results are in a good agreement with published experimental data.

Abstract

Medicine is critical to our everyday lives and to the well-being of individuals of all ages and backgrounds. With the beginning of the Corona pandemic and a rise in Corona virus infection cases, the use of medications to prevent and recover from infection has increased, as well as to treat illness consequences, has grown. The effectiveness of medicines is greatly influenced by the expiration date. In this paper, a system for pharmacy or medical store's information storage system was developed and enhanced by automatically monitoring the validity of medications on a periodic basis and sending expiry reports to medicine authorities through e-mail to warn them that a medicine is approaching expiration. The system was also enhanced with internet of thing (IoT) for fast and secure delivery of the medicine validity report.

Abstract

The excellent quality of color fundus photograph is crucial for the ophthalmologist to process the correct diagnosis and for convolutional neural network (CNN) models to optimize output classification. As a result of main causes as acquire devises efficiency and experience of a physician most fundus photographs can have uneven illuminance, blur, and bad contrast, in addition to micro-features of retinal diseases, which need to force their contrast. Fundus photograph quality assessment method is proposed to find out the perfect enhanced color fundus Technique in fundoscopy photographs-based CNN model. Five photograph quality measurements, in addition to five CNN metrics, were used as standard in this study. In this research innovative approach combining photograph quality measurement and CNN metrics analysis is proposed to find out the best enhance method that is set for the multiclass CNN model. The contrast enhancement techniques are evaluated using 267 color fundus photographs divided into three retina diseases cases were downloaded from the open-source database “FIGSHARE”. The study outcome showed that the presented system (single-CNN) can determine well the contrast enhancement method, as well as the low-quality fundus photograph then it can boost CNN metrics to achieve superior.

Abstract

Many software companies and teams use Agile methods as their main development approach. These methods promise higher team productivity, faster product delivery, a more flexible development process, and greater customer satisfaction. Nevertheless, a review of the literature shows that adapting to these methods, known as Agile transition, is not as easy as expected. However, several frameworks and models have been proposed to facilitate the Agile transition process. The challenging issue after the transition to agility is the behavior of companies and teams after the Agile transition and how to maintain agility in the long run. Very little research has been done on this issue, which has largely expressed concern. The present study tries to explore the hidden aspects of the transition to agility and provide a solution for Agile consolidation in newly Agile software teams. In this regard, using the grounded theory approach, the basic theory of Agile consolidation in these teams has been presented. Preliminary findings of the study indicate important factors that play an important role in Agile consolidation. Identification of challenges, facilitators, organizational culture structure, and human roles in Agile consolidation is the most important initial findings of this study.

Abstract

the first block of our unsupervised deep collaborative recommendation (UDCF) system and proposes a platform whose goal is to try to find the adequate parameters of the Kohonen maps, to create homogeneous clusters in profile data and results, the homogeneity is verified thanks to the very low variance rate of the results obtained by the cluster population and a second criterion which is the high prediction rate of collaborative recommendation. Although the revision concerns only the clustering block, and the use of a symmetrical autoencoder without searching for its optimization, the result obtained (82.33%) for the optimal configurations with high homogeneity of the Kohonen map is equivalent to the optimized result of the UDCF and even better than the classical recommendation methods

Abstract

The medical staff is the first part which is affected in the COVID-19 pandemic, then the workers, whether in the hospital or quarantine hotels who are responsible for cleanliness and sterilization. The goal is to reduce the number of injured and preserve human safety. This led us to think deeply to solve this problem and make the life healthier and to reduce the spread of the virus by using internet of things (IoT). The goal of the research is to develop a special robot to sterilize quarantine rooms and hospitals, measure the patient’s temperature and heart rate, in addition to transporting medicines to patients in order to preserve the safety of the medical staff. So, in order to accomplish this purpose, we will create a proof of concept for the robot. Our robot will have a system capable of performing pre-programmed acts, either under direct human control or under the control of computer programs. This paper can be the basic for future research in the same field.
