Abstract

The coffee business has been experiencing rapid growth, leading coffee business operators to seek high-quality coffee supplier that can meet the needs of their customers. The selection of a coffee supplier is crucial, as it can help maintain customer loyalty. However, often, issues arise in the supplier selection process, such as managing complex information, conducting evaluations, and still relying on manual selection methods. Therefore, a decision support system is needed to provide accurate and quick decisions using the Operational Competitiveness Rating Analysis (OCRA) method and weighting generated from the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) method. The determination of the coffee supplier involves 5 criteria such as price, coffee quality, roasted level variation, aroma, and location. The results of the assessment using the Operational Competitiveness Rating Analysis (OCRA) and Rank Order Centroid (ROC) methods identify the best alternative as the coffee supplier, which is named The Cold Crafters with a preference score of 1.2453.

Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan produsen makanan pembuat minyak goreng. Pemeliharaan alat dapat meningkatkan produktivitas. Mempertahankan keandalan alat memerlukan identifikasi masalah dan penjadwalan perbaikan. Masalah produksi biasanya diakibatkan oleh masalah komponen mesin. RCM digunakan untuk mengevaluasi komponen mesin standing pouch. Data sekunder yang digunakan meliputi data komponen utama dan kerusakan mesin. Pada saat pengumpulan data, sembilan komponen menyebabkan downtime pada mesin standing pouch, namun brainstorming dengan perusahaan menghasilkan analisis lebih lanjut terhadap tiga komponen yang paling banyak menyebabkan kegagalan, bearing, camp, dan griper. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen bearing komponen bearing terjadi pada waktu 700.08jam kerusakan pada komponen bearing terjadi pada waktu 700.08jam sehingga perlu dilakukan waktu perbaikan setiap 4.23jam setelah komponen tersebut beroperasi. Pada komponen camp terjadi kerusakan pada waktu 1359.84jam dan interval perbikan dilakukan pada setiap 5.37jam. Pada komponen griperkerusakan terjadi tiap 1174.32jam dan perlu dilakukan interval perbaikan setiap 4.67jam.

Abstract

This study presents an innovative chatbot, powered by OpenAI API, designed to enhance the user experience on the Journal of Business, Management, and Social Studies (JBMS) website. Chatbots have gained prominence for improving online interactions and information retrieval. The chatbot's development followed a structured prototype methodology, including Requirement Gathering, Prototype Building, Requirement Refinement, Customer Evaluation, and Design and Implementation. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scored an average of 4.14, signifying high user satisfaction. UAT results showed positive user experiences and satisfaction with the chatbot. Integration of OpenAI API improved information extraction from journal articles and personalized article recommendations. Stakeholder feedback from JBMS's CEO, students, and UMN lecturers affirmed high satisfaction levels. Future research will refine the chatbot's features to align better with user needs, solidifying its role as an innovative tool for information retrieval within JBMS, and enhancing user service.

Abstract

Contemporary society is grappling with issues of anti-social behavior in children and adolescents, one of which is influenced by parenting styles. This research employs machine learning technology, particularly ensemble learning, to model the relationship between parenting styles and anti-social behavior. The research data is derived from previous studies encompassing parenting style parameters and anti-social behavior. This data is preprocessed and feature-engineered, then used in modeling through the Random Forest (RF) and Adaptive Boost (AdaBoost) methods. Modeling is conducted in two phases: vanilla modeling and hyperparameter tuning. The results of the tuned models indicate that RF performs better (accuracy=91%) than AdaBoost (accuracy=72%). In conclusion, RF, as a bagging ensemble learning technique, effectively models the relationship between parenting styles and anti-social behavior. Future studies are recommended to gather more training data and develop an early detection system for use by child psychologists in the field.

Abstract

Persaingan industri menuntut perusahaan untuk berkembang dan meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas produksi. Salah satu produsen produk kayu decking yaitu PT. Cahaya Niaga Persada. Selama produksi, perusahaan menemukan banyak masalah yang mungkin menghalanginya memenuhi permintaan. Pengurangan pemborosan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi pemborosan adalah dengan implemetasi metodologi lean manufacturing. Setelah mengidentifikasi pemborosan menggunakan kuesioner, dilakukan pemetaan komprehensif dan penyebab mendasar. Menurut brainstorming dengan perusahaan, waiing (27.78%), dengan pemetaan Aktivitas Proses (PAM) menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas delay menyumbang 45% dari aktivitas proses. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pada waktu proses produksi decking dari sebelum dilakukan perbaikan total waktu sebesar 23279,9 menit, dan setelah dilakukan perbaikan menjadi 21589,23menit yang berarti terdapat peningkatan sebesar 1690.7menit atau 28,178jam dalam sekali proses produksi.

Abstract

“PT.XYZ operates in the manufacturing industry, including the production of jigs. Currently, there is an issue in the manufacturing process of the base Crankshaft pulley puller owned by PT.AHM on a CNC milling machine. The research aims to identify the types and causes of failures during production, as well as to provide recommendations for improvement and the design of machining jigs to PT.XYZ in order to eliminate failure rates, enhance efficiency, and effectiveness.Data processing methods used include Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) supported by Pareto diagrams. The analysis results reveal several types of failures, with the highest Residual Risk Priority Number (RPN) being 384 for the first failure, followed by 360 for the second failure, 336 for the third failure, 294 for the fourth failure, and 240 for the fifth failure.The proposed improvement involves creating a jig with a clamping system using SCHUNK VERO-S and adding to its cavity. The results of the proposed improvement show better outcomes in terms of maintaining product quality and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.”

Abstract

Penggunaan energi baru terbarukan harus menjadi perhatian utama pemerintah Indonesia untuk mewujudkan energi bersih ramah lingkungan. Pembangkit listrik skala pico merupakan salah satu cara pemanfaatan sumber energi yang dapat digunakan untuk mendukung program pemerataan elektrifikasi di Indonesia. Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) adalah salah satu jenis Generator teknologi sumber listrik dari energi terbarukan yang dapat dikembangkan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk merancang PMSG 18S16P untuk mencari nilai tegangan,arus dan daya keluaran. Metode percobaan dilakukan dengan melakukan simulasi pemodelan pada software Infolytica MagNet dan dilakukan manufacturing kemudian di uji dengan berbagai variasi kecepatan putar. Variasi kecepatan putar yang digunakan dalam percobaan adalah 350,550,750,950 rpm. Data yang didapat dari hasil simulasi secara berurutan 7.87,12.76, 18.78, 28.06 VA. Beban yang digunakan pada simulasi adalah resistor 10 ohm. Sedangkan hasil uji dari proses manufacturing didapat data secara berurutan0.855,2.81, 8.66, 18.14 VA. Untuk beban yang digunakan adalah lampu dc 20 watt. Semakin tinggi rpm maka akan semakin tinggi pula daya yang dikeluarkan.

Abstract

Diabetes is one disease that has a serious impact on eye health, especially in a condition known as Diabetic Retinopathy (DR). DR can cause retinal damage and potentially lead to vision loss. Therefore, early detection and regular monitoring are essential. This study aims to develop a system for detecting Diabetic Retinopathy levels on fundus images of the eye using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method. CNN is one technique in the field of Deep Learning that has proven effective in complex image analysis such as medical images. The dataset used is an image of the fundus of the eye sourced from kaggle and has been labeled in each class. The system is made using matlab software that can classify Diabteic Retinopathy into five classes. The test results obtained the best results with an accuracy rate as high as 85%

Abstract

Alat elektronik skala rumahan sering digunakan dengan menggunakan daya DC yang dihasilkan oleh PLTS di daerah terpencil untuk membantu aktivitas masyarakat. Namun listrik AC didatangkan dan dipasangkan di daerah terpencil. Hal ini berarti alat elektronik skala rumahan bertegangan DC tidak dapat dipakai lagi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan alat konverter daya (Inverter). Sebuah alat ini yang mengubah tegangan DC menjadi tegangan AC dengan diatur sesuai dengan frekuensi 50/60Hz. Dalam penelitian ini,  peneliti mencoba membandingkan nilai THD dan gelombang sinusoidal yang dihasilkan dari metode kontrol arus ramp comparison current control dan metode SPWM  untuk mendapatkan nilai THD yang rendah dan gelombang sinusoidal. Model dibangun, dimodelkan, disimulasikan, dianalisa kemudian hasilnya dibandingkan dengan menggunakan PSIM. Hasil simulasi dan analisa memperlihatkan bahwa arus harmonik yang rendah yang dihasilkan oleh inverter dengan kontrol arus ramp dibandingkan metode lainnya.

Abstract

Research using the backpropagation artificial neural network algorithm to diagnose ARI pneumonia in toddlers in Langkat Regency is very urgent. ISPA (Acute Respiratory Infection) and Pneumonia are two diseases that are still a health problem in Indonesia, especially for toddlers. These diseases are often difficult to diagnose accurately and on time, so that treatment is not optimal. This can have an impact on the high death rate due to this disease. By using the backpropagation artificial neural network algorithm, research can develop an intelligent application system that can help diagnose ARI pneumonia in toddlers with higher accuracy. In this study, the data used may include the patient's symptoms and health history, such as a history of fever, cough and shortness of breath. This method is expected to minimize diagnostic errors and increase the speed of providing appropriate treatment. Apart from that, this smart application can also help medical personnel in rural areas who may have limitations in diagnosing this disease.
