Abstract

Pineapple peel extract can be used for manufacturing organic fertilizer due to its high content of carbohydrates, protein, and sugar. The study aimed to find the effect of pineapple peel extract on fertilizer nutrients and the growth of cayenne pepper. The experiment employed an experimental method with a Randomized Block Design consisting of three combination pineapple extract treatments. The experiment was performed in 5 L of plastic containers for 15 days. The result showed that pineapple peel extract significantly affected fertilizer nutrients and the growth of cayenne pepper (p < 0.05). The extract of 2500 mL generated the highest height of the plant and the greatest number of leaves. The extract of 2000 mL produced low potassium and nitrogen. Lack of potassium and nitrogen could reduce plant height and change leaf color.

Abstract

Abstract

Several tectonic plates and a string of active volcanic mountain ranges encircle the Indonesian country, making a considerable part of Indonesia susceptible to both tectonic and volcanic earthquakes. The Indonesian National Standardization issued the latest earthquake regulations in 2019, replacing the regulations from 2012. As a result, the seismic map's PGA, Ss, and S1 values rose in comparison to the map from 2010.. With these elevated values, the regions in Indonesia become more vulnerable to earthquakes. The city of Malang itself falls within the moderate seismicity zone or is categorized as having a moderate level of vulnerability. The new regulations can be directly implemented for new buildings. To find out if they can handle the new seismic loads, existing structures must also be assessed.. This research focuses on assessing the vulnerability of old buildings to the new seismic loads in accordance with the updated regulations, using rapid visual screening. The results indicate that the examined buildings are still considered capable of withstanding the new seismic loads.

Abstract

The increasing use of four-wheeled vehicles in land transportation now provides comfort in mobilization. The side effect of increasing exhaust emissions produced by vehicles is also increasing. Each make and model of four-wheeled vehicle has its own characteristics. One example is the Innova EFI, a model manufactured by Toyota and using an electronic fuel injection system. This car can reduce fuel consumption and reduce the impact of pollution at the combustion stage. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between motor load variations and the composition of the exhaust gas produced. The measurements involve the use of a gas analyzer and a torque meter. The results showed that thermal efficiency reached its peak at 4000 rpm, for the 2005 Innova model the efficiency reached 29.49%, and the 2007 Innova reached 28.93%. The 2007 Toyota Innova vehicle has the lowest emission levels, with CO levels of 1.38% and HC 136 ppm.

Abstract

The company engaged in services and information technology solutions is facing issues with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to document IT risks. Additionally, there has been system downtime on the local server, resulting in data loss for employee records, financial data, inventory data, and purchase data. An assessment of the company's IT governance capability is conducted using the COBIT 2019 framework, focusing on operational and security areas. The results of the capability assessment for the APO12 process indicate that it has reached level 2, with a target of level 3. The DSS01 process has already achieved level 3, meeting the target capability level, while the DSS02 process has reached level 2 with a target of level 3. This demonstrates a 1-level gap within the APO12 and DSS02 processes. The recommendation provided to the company is to concentrate on risk management, finding a balance between the costs and benefits of managing IT-related risks.

Abstract

This research presents a prototype of automation and monitoring of an Internet of Things (IoT) based hydroponic system that is optimized by utilizing solar panels as an energy source. This system is designed to increase the efficiency of modern hydroponic farming by monitoring and controlling environmental parameters such as humidity levels, temperature, pH, and plant lighting in real time. Solar panels are used to provide a sustainable source of energy, making the system eco-friendly and autonomous. This prototype is connected to an IoT platform that allows users to access and control the system via a smartphone or computer application. In addition, the collected environmental data can be analyzed to increase agricultural yields and minimize resource consumption. This research represents an essential step in combining IoT technology and renewable energy to increase the productivity of modern agriculture in a sustainable and efficient way.

Abstract

The growth of the number of interconnected wireless devices such as the Internet of Things (IoT) is continuously increasing across various sectors, including smart buildings, smart offices, smart cities, and others. According to estimates, by the year 2030, there will be at least 50 billion devices interconnected through networks. The escalating number of uncontrolled wireless devices can lead to various issues such as interference, collisions, and data loss, resulting in an overall decline in network system performance. This study aims to propose a scenario as an alternative solution to optimize the overall network performance in the system by assigning channels to each interconnected wireless pair to reduce the impact of interference. This research indicates that the proposed method successfully enhances the system throughput performance by 39.75% compared to the condition where all wireless pairs operate on the same channel, thereby outperforming several other comparative methods.

Abstract

IT governance implementation in companies has occurred in the enterprise sector up to the BUMN scale. As stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Number 2 of 2013, Article 2(1) binds the business world. In the corporate sector, there are IT security issues. The measurement process uses the COBIT 2019 framework. The measurements taken will provide an analysis of the capacity level and gaps. Data was collected using quantitative (questionnaire) and qualitative (documentary studies and interviews) methods. The three relevant subdomains to measure are APO12 – Risk Management, APO13 – Managed Security, and DSS05 – Managed Security Services. The results of the capacity measurement show that the APO12 subdomain is at level 2, APO13 is at level 2, and DSS05 is stopped at level 2. These results indicate that there is a gap in the DSS05 subdomain. The results obtained show recommendations for improvement and level increase, especially in the DSS05 subdomain. The enterprise sector needs improvements in endpoint security policies, access policies, and event logs in IT incidents.
