Abstract

In forensics and security, it is necessary to determine a person's gender. Gender identification utilizing several types of identification, such as pictures of faces, voices, or handwriting, has been extensively studied in recent years. But a lot of offenders are hard to spot on surveillance tape because they cover their heads or have masks on that only show particular eye shapes. In this article, we explore the usage of a CNN with Relu activation for each hidden layer and the Haar Cascade Classifier Algorithm to detect objects of the human eye to recognize the human eye using deep learning. 11.525 Images of male and female eyes were used as the study's data. Utilizing Adam's optimization (Adaptive Moment Estimation), the training procedure lasts for 20 epochs. This study's findings have a 92% accuracy rate for automatically identifying gender. The performance evaluation matrix was used in this investigation, and it produced an overall F1-Score of 93%.

Abstract

LPG (Liquefied Petroleum gas) is one of the most commonly used gases for household purposes, comprising two components: propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10). However, LPG gas has a drawback, namely the danger associated with gas leaks. LPG gas leaks pose a highly hazardous risk that can impact human safety and the surrounding environment. In this journal, the author discusses the development of a system for monitoring the detection of LPG gas leaks using an MQ-2 sensor and the ESP32 microcontroller. Subsequently, the system transmits LPG gas data to the Blynk application, providing users with quick information through sound and messages. The research test results indicate that the MQ-2 sensor is effective in rapidly detecting gas concentrations ranging from 300 to 1000 ppm.

Abstract

The efficiency of a work system can be influenced by several factors, namely the operator and machine capacity in the production process. The line balancing method is the right method to increase the efficiency of a work system. From the various work stations, the researchers balanced the processing time of the work stations so that each line of work stations could complete quickly, thereby reducing waiting time. In this research, the researcher started the activity by collecting data from each work station in the process of making the Harrington Jacket which was produced by CV. 913 productions. From the results of the data obtained. Researchers processed data using Bill of Materials (BOM), Process Plan Sheet (LRP), Precedence Diagram, Assembly Chart, and Operation Process Chart (OPC). In order for the production process to be very efficient, methods are needed. The methods used are the Ranked Positional Weight (RPW) method, the Mirror RPW method, the Largest Candidate Rule (LCR) method, the J.Wagon method and the Region Approach method.

Abstract

With the increasing number of motor vehicles, the demand for sophisticatedsecurity systems has become more imperative. This research focuses on thedevelopment of a motor vehicle security system utilizing fingerprint technologywith an Internet of Things (IoT)-based approach. The system is powered by theNodeMCU ESP32, enabling access through fingerprint verification to replacethe use of physical keys or remote controls, as well as conventional motor contactand starter mechanisms. The GPS module provides advanced trackingcapabilities, allowing real-time monitoring of the vehicle's position through anAndroid application. Firebase functions as the real-time database for thestorage and management of user data and the location of the vehicle. Throughthe implementation of the Internet of Things, vehicle owners can access andcontrol the security of their vehicles in real-time using smart devices such assmartphones. This development method is tested to measure the level of securityand user convenience. The research outcomes are anticipated to make a positivecontribution to the advancement of motor vehicle security systems, aiming toreduce vehicle theft and provide an effective and practical solution for ensuringvehicle security.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease. According to WHO (2020), 1.5 million people die from tuberculosis and it is also the 13th largest cause of death in the world and the second largest infectious disease cause of death after COVID-19. This research aims to create a new model based on different methods, targets and time to determine the modeling of factors that influence the number of tuberculosis diseases in Bandung City using the Geographically Weight Negative Binomial Regression (GWNBR) method. The modeling in this study is known to have differences between Negative Binomial Regression and Geographically Weight Negative Binomial Regression (GWNBR) with Bojongloa Kaler having the highest cases, significantly influenced by the number of cases in adult men. This research encourages the Bandung City government to provide equitable health services, consider these factors, and evaluate policies to reduce tuberculosis cases in children aged 0-14 years, especially in adult males.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and develop a performance management application for a team of technicians in an apartment using the Extreme Programming (XP) method. The initial phase involved in-depth data collection on the technician team's needs, challenges, and dynamics. Next, the application was developed with XP principles, providing features such as task tracking, job assignments, real-time status updates, and daily performance reporting. The final stage involved analyzing technology acceptance through internal trials and collecting feedback from the technician team and potential users. Technology acceptance simulations with data showed that the app successfully coped with operational scenarios and received positive feedback. The application was tested by users, with the number of users being 50% of the total number of users, with a user satisfaction rate of 85%. The conclusions of this study indicate that the engineering team successfully accepted the application, has the potential to improve performance management efficiency, and contributes to the understanding of the application of XP in application development for the property industry.

Abstract

Cancer patients are considered susceptible to COVID-19 associated with the presence of an immunosuppressive state. One type of cancer that causes many deaths is lung cancer. There are many challenges and difficulties, especially in treating lung cancer during the COVID-19 period. As technology develops, experts are trying to use machine learning and artificial intelligence in the treatment and detection of lung cancer. Artificial intelligence and machine learning can be used to predict lung cancer using data from microarrays, pictures, and other sources. Limited data on COVID-19 patients with a relatively small sample, information regarding the implementation of machine learning and artificial intelligence for the treatment of COVID-19 patients with lung cancer is still limited. Therefore, it is necessary to have a literature review to explain the effect of machine learning and artificial intelligence for lung cancer patients during the COVID-19 period from existing studies. The literature review used in this study. Sourced from the search results of journals from various countries related to lung cancer and COVID-19 in Pubmed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The results show an important role of machine learning and artificial intelligence for lung cancer patients in COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Air pollution, particularly PM2.5, poses a global threat that proves challenging to address. This particulate matter has significant environmental, health, and economic repercussions in DKI Jakarta. The aim of this research is to predict PM2.5 concentrations with exceptional accuracy. The study introduces an innovative prediction model, namely Hybrid ARIMA-ANN. In comparison to ARIMA and ANN individually, this model demonstrates outstanding performance, achieving an R2 of 0.9012, MAPE of 13.603%, and RMSE of 4.061 on the training data. Evaluation on test data yields an RMSE of 5.961 and MAPE of 7.622%, indicating excellent predictive capabilities over the next 14 periods. These findings offer crucial insights for the government to forecast air quality in the future and enhance policies addressing air pollution in DKI Jakarta. The implications of these conclusions also align with the achievement of SDGs, particularly goals 3, 13, and 15.
