Abstract

This study delves into the role of integrating renewable energy systems such as solar panels, wind turbines, with storage technology in enhancing energy conversion efficiency in microgrids. Through a comprehensive literature review, both experimental and analytical findings emphasize that this amalgamation can reduce energy losses commonly observed in conventional microgrids. Its positive impacts extend beyond mere efficiency improvements, strengthening the overall stability and reliability of the microgrid. Implications of this integration encompass increased availability of clean energy and the potential to mitigate blackout incidents within microgrids. The study supports the direction towards developing more sustainable and efficient energy systems in the future.

Abstract

Direktorat TSI is a unit that has the task of developing information systems. Since mid-2021, Direktorat TSI has adopted scrum in application system development that works iteratively and gradually until it reaches the needs desired by consumers. Scrum implementation provides improvements in the development of application systems in Direktorat TSI. However, there are still projects whose completion is late, the sprint backlog is incomplete, or the product backlog is incomplete. This study aims to analyze the maturity level of scrum implementation at this unit using the Scrum Maturity Model. The study uses a quantitative method of questionnaires with respondents from the Scrum Master on the FocusPN Project, the State Receivables Project, and the Auction Project. The results of the study show that the level of scrum implementation maturity in the FocusPN Project and State Receivables Project is still at Level 1 (Initial), while the Auction Project has reached Level 2 (Defined). Overall, the KPA Rating average shows that the TSI Directorate is still at level 1 (Initial).

Abstract

Employee performance plays a significant role in determining the company's sustainability, so company leaders must pay attention to employee performance. To determine an employee's performance more objectively, many subjective factors influence it, so performance appraisals only sometimes end up being fair. One of the companies developing in Indonesia is a smartphone sales company, CV Jala Kencana. As the CV Jala Kencana company continues to develop and the number of employees increases, problems arise in assessing employee performance, which still needs to be done objectively. So that employee performance assessments can be more objective, a decision support systems application is needed that can help assess employee performance. The Agile SDLC method is used in designing a website-based employee performance assessment application. Then, for the employee performance assessment feature, the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method is used, and SHA512 encryption is implemented in the Database Management Systems for better database security. This research produces a web-based employee performance assessment application with features for assessing employee performance based on predetermined criteria.

Abstract

This study addresses the urgent need for early diagnosis and continuous monitoring of respiratory diseases such as asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and infectious diseases. We have created a system that combines state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms with frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar technology. FMCW radar technology is sensitive to small respiratory movements, allowing real-time monitoring without physical contact. Machine learning algorithms, including Decision Trees, Random Forest, Naïve Bayes, Gradient Boosting, and Support Vector Machines, are employed to classify these waveforms. The Random Forest classifier achieved the highest accuracy score of 94.6%, with Naïve Bayes exhibiting the shortest processing time at 0.055 seconds. We explored various cross-validation methods such as Shuffle Split, K-fold, and Stratified K-fold, with the Shuffle Split method performing best overall in terms of accuracy and time. Our study introduces an integrated system that could revolutionize the early detection, response, and tracking of respiratory diseases and emergencies over time.

Abstract

Downy mildew control with synthetic fungicides adversely affects it. The use of biological agents is an alternative because it is safer and environmentally friendly. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of seed treatment using biological agents on corn seed viability, downy mildew and plant growth. Group Randomized Design (RAK) research method with three treatments and repeated 9 times. The treatment is K (without treatment), B (Bacillus subtilis and B. polymixa) and T (Trichoderma hamatum). B and T treatments were able to increase the viability of corn seeds as well as the length of roots and headers. Treatment B was more able to suppress the incidence and intensity of downy mildew compared to control and T. Treatment of the two biological agents was able to increase the number of leaves of corn plants and was not able to increase plant height, stem diameter and plant root weight.

Abstract

Traditional herbal drinks such as Wedang Uwuh which is a typical Yogyakarta regional drink made from various natural spices it has various benefits. Wedang Uwuh instant ​​is an innovative product from a traditional drink that is packaged in a modern way. Instant Wedang Uwuh is a product of creativity from Industrial Engineering students at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa, which is managed by lecturers and students. The manager of instant Wedang Uwuh, PT Sruput Jaya, is experiencing difficulties in stock management and estimating the amount of production required each month. The uncertain demand for instant Wedang Uwuh is an obstacle in determining the production quantity of Instant Wedang Uwuh. Currently, sellers can only see the increase in sales manually. This research aims to predict the level of production or sales of Instant Wedang Uwuh using the Monte Carlo simulation algorithm precisely and accurately. The results of Monte Carlo simulation testing for 12 months reached a prediction accuracy level of 96.40%. The tests carried out will become a reference for preparing instant Wedang Uwuh production for the next 12 months. Obtaining an accuracy rate of 96.40% in this Monte Carlo simulation can be recommended for determining the amount of Wedang Uwuh production in the first 12 months of the following year.

Abstract

Pontianak Siamese oranges (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) are one of West Kalimantan's leading commodities, which were first developed in the Tebas & Pemangkat area, Sambas Regency. Orange seeds have polyembryony, that is, there is more than one embryo in one seed, originating from a zygotic embryo and a somatic embryo. This research aims to determine the effect and appropriate concentration of adding corn extract and NAA to produce the best growth in Pontianak Siamese orange seed culture. This research used a completely randomized factorial design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor is corn extract (J) with 4 concentration levels, 0% (J0); 7,5% (J1); 10% (J2) and 12,5% ​​(J3). The second factor is NAA (N) with 4 concentration levels 0 M (N0); 10-7M (N1); 5.10-7M (N2) and 10-6M (N3). The data obtained was analyzed descriptively. The research results showed that the treatment of 12,5% ​​corn extract + 10-6M NAA (J3N3) was the best treatment for the time of sprout emergence and the fastest time for shoot emergence, namely 9,33 and 13,33 days. The treatment of 0% corn extract + 10-7M NAA (J0N1) produced the highest number of polyembryony shoots, namely 3,33 shoots. The 0% corn extract + 5.10-7M NAA (J0N2) treatment was the best treatment for the highest number of leaves on shoots from polyembryonic seeds, namely 2,16 pieces. The 7,5% corn extract + 10-6M NAA (J1N3) treatment and the 10% corn extract + 10-7M NAA (J2N1) treatment were the best treatments for the number of roots, namely 6 roots.

Abstract

Algoritma Brute Force dan Knuth Morris Pratt (KMP) adalah algoritma yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan pencarian kata atau string, kedua algoritma ini dinilai masih relatif lama dalam proses percarian kata, sehingga perlu dibangun sebuah algoritma perbandingan antara algortima Brute Force dengan Knuth Morris Partt (KMP) sehingga dihasilkan algoritma perbandingan yang memiliki hasil yang lebih maksimal dalam kecepatan untuk melakukan pencarian kata. Untuk algoritma knuth morris pratt menggunakan aturan mengatur pergeseran karakter dengan memperhatikan suffix dan prefix untuk mendapatkan hasil pencocokan pattern pada border function, dengan perolehan hasil perbandingan waktu dalam pencariannnya yaitu untuk waktu pencarian pada brute force 6.6 detik sementara pada knuth morris pratt (KMP) 6.57 detik, sehingga pencarian judul buku bacaan dengan menggunakan algoritma KMP lebih cepat dibandingkan pencarian judul buku bacaan menggunakan algoritma brute force.

Abstract

This research aims to apply the linear regression method as a tool for forecasting aquaculture exchange rates (NTPI) in West Papua province. This research uses Jupyter Notebook as a data processing platform by combining the concepts of data mining and regression analysis. Analysis of fish cultivation data and related factors such as farmer income index, household consumption index, etc. to predict NTPI values. This method can help design policies that support economic growth in the aquaculture sector by optimizing exchange rates. These results show that although predictions provide insight, there are certain limitations when using linear regression models to predict the future. The mean squared error (MSE) is 90.78 so further considerations are needed to improve model accuracy. Nevertheless, this research will provide a basis for the West Papua provincial government to implement more effective measures in the aquaculture sector.

Abstract

Geolocation accuracy on smartphones is now a crucial factor in user experience, especially in location-based applications such as navigation and other location-based services. This research aims to analyze geolocation accuracy indoor and outdoor on two smartphones that have different signal frequencies. The method used is a comparative method that compares the results of four different scenarios. Geolocation accuracy measurements were carried out using the GPS Test application. The research results show that geolocation accuracy outdoors is higher when the smartphone location is still, while indoor, geolocation accuracy is better when the smartphone location is moving. Of the four scenarios tested, comparing accuracy between the first and second devices was only significant in the scenario where the smartphone was in a closed room. The first device shows an accuracy rate of 58.65% higher than the second device.
