Abstract

This research was about applying HOTS question on students’ writing ability in report text at Business Murni Sadar Polytechnic , which the problem of this research was “What extent to the students’ writing ability in report text by applying HOTS question at Business Murni Sadar Polytechnic ?” and the objective of this research was to find out the extent of students’ writing ability in report text by applying high order thinking skill (HOTS) question at Business Murni Sadar Polytechnic. The method that used in this research was quantitative research design. The population of this research was students of Business Murni Sadar Polytechnic Population of this research were 100 students. The sample of this research were 60 students with divided into 30 students as experimental class and 30 students of as control class. The analysis of this research showed that the mean score of pre- test of the experimental group was 53, 566 and control group was 54, 1. The mean of post-test of the experimental group was 82, 066 and control group was 67, 033. Testing hypothesis showed that t-test (4,0003) was higher than t-table (1,671) at level of significant 5% for two tailed test. It meant that applying HOTS Question on students’ writing ability in report text gave a good contribution. Based on the result, it can be seen that the students’ writing ability in report text increased. It meant that there was an extent (improvement) of students’ writing ability in report text by applying HOTS Question at Business Murni Sadar Polytechnic.

Abstract

Financial institutions, both bank and non-bank, which continue to develop in Indonesia will encourage financial institutions to always optimize their marketing activities. One of them is Bank Mandiri in facing competition. One of the strategies of Bank Mandiri is the marketing mix strategy. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether the Marketing Mix strategy affects the interest of Bank Mandiri KC Pematangsiantar customers. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the Marketing Mix affects customer interest in Bank Mandiri KC Pematangsiantar. This research is a type of field research (field research) with a descriptive nature using primary and secondary data, in addition to the data collection methods in this study using observation and interview methods, and this method of analysis using quantitative analysis methods. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the application of marketing strategies uses a marketing mix, the products offered are very varied according to the needs of society for the present and the future, then promotion using personal selling, advertising via television, brochures and others. , publicity with exhibition activities, social service. The marketing strategy that has been implemented has been good in increasing customer interest. Respondents in this study were 97 customers. From the results of data analysis it can be concluded that, there is a significant positive influence between marketing strategy variables (X) on customer interest (Y) at Bank Mandiri Kc Pematangsiantar, the contribution of the influence of marketing strategy variables (X) on customer interest (Y) coefficient of determination (R2) 0.76 shows that 76% of marketing strategies (X) affect customer interest (Y), while 24% are influenced by other variables not discussed in this study.

Abstract

Public organizations are expected to be able to manage their resources with adequate internal controls, to suppress the increase in cases of corruption due to misuse of assets. This research is a qualitative descriptive research conducted at GKI Tegalrejo Salatiga by collecting primary data from interviews with informants. The information obtained then processed by data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that there is still a risk of theft of cash in the income cycle at GKI Tegalrejo, but it can be mitigated by controlling practices according to the concept of COSO. Some of the obstacles encountered in implementing this internal control include the church council not being fully able to understand the Tata Laksana Gereja, the absence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), lack of supervision on CCTV monitor, and lack of the function of the priest as a supervisor. This research is expected to be able to encourage congregational participation to assess the practice of internal control at GKI Tegalrejo Salatiga, serve as evaluation material for the GKI Tegalrejo Salatiga council to improve its internal control, and for academics, it is hoped that this research can become a reference in developing next researches.

Abstract

`Abstarct The development of the times is growing rapidly marked by increasingly sophisticated technology. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the influence of prices on purchasing decisions with taste as an intervening variable. This research aims to determine the price of purchasing decisions with taste as an intervening variable. The research design used by the author is field research, where the research was conducted at the Pematangsiantar Horas Jaya Regional Corporation, the population that is the Sword in the Horas Market in the Horas Regional Company. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with the criteria of shoe traders as a research sample of 56 traders. Data analysis techniques using simple regression, hypothesis testing, coefficient of determination, and path analysis. The results of the study showed that the price had a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions in the Regional Corporation of Horas Jaya, Pematangsiantar City, and taste was an intervening variable, or by adding a variable of tastes the price effect on purchasing decisions was higher.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic not only affects the health sector, but also the economic sector. Many workers are threatened by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Likewise with entrepreneurs, who experience losses due to social distancing that limit the space for business actors. This research was conducted with the aim of looking at the comparison between interest of entrepreneurship and working as an employee during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. Based on the sampling technique using the purposive sampling method, then obtained 26 respondents. Data gathering techniques are conducted through interviews with sources. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model data analysis. Research results show that the interest of entrepreurship during the pandemic is higher than that interest of employees. Interest in entrepreneurship is superior, namely 17 respondents, while the remaining 9 respondents are interested in working as employees during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to analized the influence original local revenue and capital expenditure partially on the independence of local finance in districts/towns of North Sumatera Province. The population was 33 districts/towns of North Sumatera Province years of 2010-2017 and population will be used as sample. The data were processed by using panel data regression statistic method. The result of the research that original local revenue had positive and significant influence on the independence of local finance. Meanwhile, capital expenditure had negative and significant influence on the independence of local finance. Keywords : Original Local Revenue, Capital Expenditure, Independence of Local Finance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation on teacher performance, the effect of discipline on teacher performance, the effect of motivation and discipline on teacher performance. The population in this study amounted to 44 people. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis technique and multiple linear regression analysis. From the results of data processing, the following research results were obtained. The motivation variable partially has a positive effect on teacher performance with tcount> ttable (2.533> 1.684). Discipline variable partially has a positive effect on teacher performance with tcount> ttable (5.931> 1.684). Motivation and discipline variables simultaneously have a positive effect on teacher performance with the value of Fcount> Ftable, namely 5.669> 3,230 ,. The influence of motivation and discipline variables on teacher performance is 72.20% and the remaining 28.80% is influenced by other factors not examined.

Abstract

Brands have an important role for the continuity of a business, because current and future marketing is a competition between brands to seize consumers through brands. Brand love is a market phenomenon that refers to the deep or intense emotions a customer experiences in relation to a particular brand. This emotional attachment can later make consumers loyal to a brand. This study aims to determine the effect of brand love on brand loyalty and willingness to pay premium price of Starbucks consumers in Surabaya. The research method used is quantitative methods. The population in this study were Starbucks consumers in Surabaya. The number of samples used was 100 respondents using purposive sampling method. The data testing method used are validity and reliability test. The data analysis technique used is the structural equation model partial least square (SEM PLS). Calculation of data using Smart PLS ver. 3. Based on the research results, it can be seen that brand love has a positive effect on brand loyalty, brand loyalty has a positive effect on willingness to pay premium price, and brand love has a positive effect on willingness to pay premium price for Starbucks consumers in Surabaya.

Abstract

This study entitled "Analysis of The Relationship Between Gross Domestic Product and Indonesian Exports (Granger causality test)”. This research was conducted because of the dualism of the theory between the two variables. In macroeconomic theory, the relationship between Gross Domestic Product is one of the similarities, because exports contribute to Gross Domestic Products on the demand side, while neoclassical trade theory emphasizes causality related to household production and assistance for exports. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between Gross Domestic Product and exports. This study uses several analytical methods: Unit Root Test, Cointegration Test, Granger Causality Test using the E-views program7 and using Quarterly data. The results of the estimation of this study are the estimation of the relationship in GDP and exports, or in other words, the Gross Domestic Product affects Indonesia's exports. This is concluded based on the estimation results that can be seen from the statistical F value that is greater than the f-table (8.958205> 3.841466) on the Null hypothesis. GDP is not an Export Granger with a 95% confidence level. This means GDP affects exports When GDP can affect the level of exports in the intervals of 2000 to 2012.

Abstract

This study aims to test the influence of intellectual capital and corporate governance on firm value with profitability as a moderating variable. The population of this study is banking companies listed on IDX during 2015 – 2019 amounted to 45 companies. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling so that research samples obtained as many as 15 companies. The research data used is secondary data obtained from the annual report and GCG report of banking companies listed on IDX during 2015 – 2019. This study uses structural equation modeling data analysis technique – partial least square (SEM-PLS) with WarpPLS 7.0 software. The result of this study shows that: (1) Intellectual capital positively and significantly affects the firm value, (2) Corporate governance has no effect on the firm value, (3) Profitability can moderate the influence of intellectual capital on the firm value, (4) Profitability can’t moderate the influence of corporate governance on the firm value.
