Abstract

This study aims to analyze fluid flow and particle motion characteristics in the combustion chamber of the Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) Boiler at PLTU Labuhan Angin using Computational Particle Fluid Dynamic (CPFD) technology. Operational data collection methods and quantitative approaches are used in this study. Operational data from the CFB Boiler of PLTU Labuhan Angin is obtained from the control room and instruments installed in the CFB Boiler. In addition, data on coal feeding, bed particles, material properties of bed particles, and detailed drawings of the CFB boiler were also collected. The data is used as input to perform modeling simulations using CPFD. CPFD was used to predict the fluid flow and particle motion in the combustion chamber, temperature distribution, and the dominant area affected by erosion. The results show that CPFD technology can be used to analyze the characteristics of fluid flow and particle motion in the combustion chamber of a CFB Boiler. In addition, the results of this study can contribute to the development of electrical energy technology. It is expected that the results of this study can provide a deeper understanding of the management of PLTU operating patterns using CPFD technology

This research is to get information about organisation behaviour, leadership style, and work discipline and three factors affecting staff performance. This research used a questionnaire for 111 respondents and SPSS version 25. This Research is quantitative research and statistical analysis. Multiple linear regression method with quantitative analysis. Based on SPSS data analysis, the researcher got the result of multiple linear regression analysis for organisation behaviour (X1) is 2.721 with a significant 0.008, leadership style (X2) is 3.105 with a significant 0.002, and work discipline (X3) is 3.520 with a significant 0.001. The result of the simultaneous test (F test) was 32.249 with significancy 0.000. Conclusion for this research, the first hypothesis is that organisation behaviour has an influence on staff performance, the second hypothesis is that leadership style has an influence on staff performance and third hypothesis work discipline has an influence on staff performance, and the last hypothesis is that these three variables (organisation behaviour, leadership style, and work discipline) have simultaneous influence in staff performance

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of value-added profitability metrics, specifically Economic Value Added (EVA) and Refined Economic Value Added (REVA), on shareholder value creation proxy by Market Value Added (MVA) in the Indonesia’s healthcare industry before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. We employed ordinary least squares (OLS) panel data regression model, with variable dummy to accommodate the COVID-19 pandemic. It uses a sample size of 14 companies, including 4 healthcare service sector companies and 11 pharmaceutical sector companies. The result: 1) EVA and REVA have significant influence in explaining the shareholder value creation of the healthcare industry in Indonesia before and during the pandemic. EVA had a positive effect on MVA in two periods, while REVA is negatif during the pandemic. 2) EVA and REVA metrics are superior in explaining shareholder value creation over traditional accounting metrics (ROCE, ROE and EPS). The implications: for academics, the calculation of EVA and REVA must be done properly and correctly, especially in calculating the cost of capital in order to provide accurate results. While, for practisioners, the consistency of value-added metrics shows the urgency of its application in evaluating financial performance and shareholder value creation in Indonesia and specifically the healthcare industry

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a form of social responsibility of real estate companies to the surrounding community. The method used in this study was a literature review sourced from several previous studies. The research results indicate that the form of CSR implementation is considered an indicator that is able to influence the company's value in the perception of the surrounding community. However, in previous research, there is also a contradiction in that CSR is considered unable to have a significant influence on company value. Real estate companies are considered to have a substantial impact on the economic, social, and environmental aspects of society. Real estate companies carry out corporate social responsibility to reduce negative impacts and increase positive contributions to society by participating in sustainability projects, such as supporting the construction of transportation routes and so
