Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of mindfulness intervention in futsal training on improving the accuracy and consistency of passing among extracurricular participants at SD Negeri Kunti, Bungkal Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency. The method employed was a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest approach. The subjects consisted of 20 students who regularly participated in futsal extracurricular activities. Based on the data analysis of triangle passing skills, the pretest score was 10.35, while the posttest score increased to 13.55. For wall passing skills, the pretest score was 11.95 and increased to 14.50 in the posttest. The significance value for the triangle passing pretest was 0.109 and for the posttest was 0.022. For wall passing, the significance value for the pretest was 0.123 and for the posttest was 0.013. Using a significance level of ? = 0.05, it can be concluded that the pretest data for both triangle passing and wall passing had significance values greater than 0.05, indicating a normal distribution. However, the posttest data for both triangle passing and wall passing had significance values less than 0.05, indicating a non-normal distribution. Therefore, further inferential analysis was conducted using the non-parametric Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results showed significant differences between pretest and posttest scores, both in the triangle passing group (Z = -3.745; p = 0.000) and in the wall passing group (Z = -3.746; p = 0.000). These findings indicate that mindfulness intervention effectively enhances students’ passing performance in terms of both accuracy and consistency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sprint speed performance of junior athletes from the Indonesian Athletics Association (PASI) in Banjarbaru City. Speed is a fundamental component of physical fitness that plays a crucial role in sprinting events, especially for young athletes who are in a critical phase of motor and physiological development. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method with total sampling involving 17 junior athletes. The primary instrument was a 60-meter sprint test, conducted twice with the best result used for data analysis. The recorded times were categorized according to established sprint assessment norms and analyzed using percentage distribution. The results showed that 52.94% of athletes fell into the Fair category, 35.29% were in the Poor category, and 11.76% were classified as Very Poor. Notably, no athletes were categorized as Good or Very Good. These findings indicate that the overall sprint speed of junior PASI Banjarbaru athletes remains at a moderate to low level, insufficient for higher-level competition. Contributing factors include suboptimal starting techniques, underdeveloped muscle strength, and the lack of scientifically-based and varied training methods. Therefore, a more structured, systematic training program tailored to the developmental characteristics of young athletes is essential to optimize their sprinting potential. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for evaluating and designing more effective training strategies focused on performance improvement for junior athletes in Banjarbaru.

Abstract

Sports activities are carried out once a week without a structured concept and seem boring. With the rarity of volleyball games, students when doing lower passes still encounter some difficulties. This research methodology uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Data collection using surveys, with the subjects in this study conducted on VII grade students of SMP Plus Al-Firdaus totaling 19 students. Research planning begins with the development of research instruments, namely observation sheets, rubrics for assessing lower passing techniques, and student motivation/enthusiasm questionnaires, as well as submitting a research permit application letter to the principal of SMP Plus Al-Firdaus. The steps in data collection are: 1) Students perform lower passes according to the teacher's instructions. 2) Each student is given the opportunity to do 10 times the lower pass. 3) Each trial is evaluated using an assessment rubric (aspects of technique, accuracy, and consistency). Data analysis using a quantitative descriptive approach, from the results of data analysis obtained the results of the volleyball lower passing skills test with an average score of 85 including Excellent with a total of 4 students, while those who obtained an average score of 77 in the good classification were 15 students. We can analyze that so far, the volleyball learning process, especially the basic lower passing techniques that have been given to students, is in the good category.
