BERDAYA: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Lembaga Pengembangan Manajemen dan Publikasi Imperium (Imperium Research Institute). The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. BERDAYA contains various activities of the teaching staff in Indonesia in handling and managing the various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society. Implementation of service activities also involves the participation of the community and partners. Service activities are organized into an activity aimed at improving the welfare of society. Focus and Scope BERDAYA, particularly focuses on the main problems in the development of the sciences of community services areas as follows: Community Services, People, Local Food Security; Training, Marketing, Appropriate Technology, Design; Community Empowerment, Social Access; Student Community Services;Border Region, Less Developed Region; Education for Sustainable Development.

Abstract

Two years after the first case was detected, Indonesia is still dealing with the spread of COVID-19. Because of a lack of individual compliance to health protocols, it is becoming increasingly difficult to control. Individual compliance is influenced by several factors, the most common of which is a lack of knowledge about health protocol. This program aims to enhance millennials' knowledge of COVID-19 and encourage them to comply with the health protocol. This program was attended by 44 millennials from RT.11/RW.6, Sunter Agung, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, the province with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. Millennials were selected because they are more likely to have asymptomatic COVID-19. This virtual training includes sharing sessions, questions and answers, and role-playing. To evaluate the difference in personal knowledge before and after the training, all participants must complete the health protocol questionnaire, previously distributed via a Google form, before and after the training. Following the training, millennial knowledge and compliance rose, according to the evaluation.

Abstract

This activity aims to increase the knowledge and soft skills of SMK students regarding accounting software. Students are given knowledge, understanding, and training to update accounting software from the software MYOB to Zahir Accounting, which is more developed following changes in accounting science and the needs of the modern business world. The activity was carried out at SMK PGRI 3 Kediri City. The participants of the exercise were students of SMK class XII. Implementation of activities in the form of training. The method of implementing the conditioning is done through lectures, practicum, and question and answer. The action is divided into two sessions. In the first session, the material explained Zahir Accounting software. In the second session, the Zahir Accounting software practicum was held, where participants could practice the accounting cycle directly using Zahir Accounting software. The participants participated in the training activities in a conducive and enthusiastic manner. The participants had no difficulty in implementing the training

Abstract

This activity aims to increase understanding and knowledge about gadgets. Advances in Technology and Information affect many aspects of human life, including economics, laws, health, and education. The existence of technology provides convenience in various activities of humans; however, it replaces human labor too. Likewise, the advancement of digital-based information enables humans to access information from anywhere at any period, while the most current information moves quickly. The presence of Technology and Information must be accompanied by human ability. Ability to use well and filter information effectively. The sophistication of technology and the speed of information should be accompanied by the ability to use it, which aims to use various technological products in learning activities. Thus, teachers can teach using technology products such as e-books, animations, slides, and videos. However, humans have numerous opportunities to use technology products to make things that go against the good intentions of technological and information inventions. Abstract

This community service activity, which was carried out in Desa Cibitung Wetan, Kabupaten Bogor, aims to increase the skills of housewives in processing glass bottles waste into flower vases. The Posdaya in that village has a waste bank program that has been running well. One of the programs carried out routinely at the waste bank is sorting unorganic waste that can be recycled. Even so, after this sorting process a series of further processing is needed. The method used in this activity is a short training by providing special skill, which is decoupage technique. The training started with giving demonstrations, then continued with hands-on practice and ended with discussion session. Participants in this training activity consisted of housewives who were members of Posdaya. They come from families with middle to lower economic backgrounds. The skills given in this training are expected to increase the creativity of the participants in processing waste into products with selling value, so as it is able to increase family income. Abstract

This activity aims to increase the understanding and knowledge of mathematics teachers at using the geogebra application for personal computers to support mathematics learning, as a learning media in mathematics. The method that is used in this activity is short training of using the geogebra application for personal computers. Participants were given training by presentations and demonstrations at using the Geogebra application. The participants of this activity are teachers who are members of the Mathematics Subject Teachers' Consultation (MGMP) for High School Mathematics in Barito Kuala Regency can take part in the training well and enthusiastically

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has been going on for almost two years. In addition to having an impact on the people's economy, this prolonged pandemic has also disrupted the mental health of the society so that it requires good resilience to recover. This training activity aims to provide knowledge about family communication to manage stress during the COVID-19 pandemic for mothers organized by Pundi Rakyat Jakarta Social Welfare Institution in order to make them tough individuals. The method used in this activity is in the form of online training through Google Meet application with a duration of two hours which was held on Sunday, November 28, 2021. The training activities carried out for the participants were material explanations and case studies, followed by questions and answers session and sharing experience on family communication implementation. The participants were able to take part in the training well and begin to understand family communication to manage stress to become tough individuals.

Abstract

The objectives of this activity include: exploring the problems faced by MSMEs during the second year of the Covid-19 pandemic; identify problems that occur in MSMEs in DKI Jakarta in a pandemic condition (New Normal); provide an overview and training in making QRIS for MSMEs in DKI Jakarta; provide strategic management tips so that they can survive and even develop unexpected opportunities; provide continuous assistance and monitoring to MSMEs assisted by P3D which have been carried out after entering the New Normal period. QRIS socialization is one of the efforts made by the government to respond to the changes that occur, especially to the very rapid development of information technology. QRIS socialization was carried out for MSME actors in the DKI Jakarta area in collaboration with Bank Indonesia Jakarta Branch, P3D DKI Jakarta. The method used in this activity is in the form of socializing the use of QRIS which will be applied by Bank Indonesia to MSME players in the DKI Jakarta area. In this outreach activity, MSME participants received training on: how to solve problems, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and change management.

Abstract

The socialization with the theme of the central learning model as the implementation of independent learning for early childhood has the aim of conveying the basic principles of the central learning model that can be used as a form of independent learning for the level of students. This is based on implementing the central learning model, which is not following the principles but is currently being demanded by the existence of an independent learning era. Participants have explained the central learning model, its principles, and its implementation. In addition, it also explains the meaning of independent learning and its relationship to the central learning model. This activity was carried out at the NU 42 Nurul Ulum Kindergarten in Gresik. The participants who took part in this activity were ten teachers and school principals. There were many positive responses which could be seen from the enthusiasm of the questions asked and the interesting question and answer process.

Abstract

Corona Virus 19 has resulted in high mortality rates worldwide. So knowledge of the significant impact of COVID-19 by maintaining a clean and healthy life to avoid Covid-19 is essential. In addition, the economic impact is also huge for the business sector, so many business actors are economically disturbed. The office sector is no exception as clusters of the spread of COVID-19. The purpose of the research is to get an overview of public knowledge so that they can understand the importance of community knowledge and behavior during the Covid-19 period. This research on Community Service (PKM) is qualitative with a descriptive design. The implementation of PKM is a collaboration of PT. JISS Prosperous Indonesia with Budi Luhur University. Participants in this activity were all employees and outsourced Security Officers totaling 200 people placed in offices, malls, and housing complexes. The implementation method is in the form of giving presentations and simulating health protocols and public behavior in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. This activity results in all outsourcing personnel understanding how to maintain health protocols and community behavior in dealing with COVID-19.

Abstract

The community service activities carried out by IIM Surakarta as the integrative PKN and PKM program in 2022 used the socialization method regarding the benefits of using QRIS in the Kratonan sub-district, Surakarta city. Many still do not know the information and benefits of QRIS, so it is hoped that this community service will be able to help provide positive energy to the community. The community is transforming toward a cashless society. The results of this activity are immediately put into practice by the people in the Kratonan village to install and use the QRIS application in alms transactions. So the purpose of this community service is to educate the community in the Kratonan sub-district, Surakarta city, to be more advanced in managing alms through mosques so that transformation in the digital era can be achieved.
