Abstract

Dragon grass (Potamogeton sp) is an aquatic plant found in the waters. In irrigation waters the presence of dragon grass is very disturbing to the irrigation manager because it reduces the water discharge along the irrigation route. This plant contains N = 3.36%, P = 0.41%, and K = 3.10% so that it has the potential to be processed into compost. Dragon grass can be used as compost using a decomposer, one of which is Trichoderma or commonly known as Trikokompost. This study aims to determine the quality of compost from dragon grass (Potamogeton sp) using three kinds of trichoderma isolates as decomposers and to determine which types of trichoderma are effective as decomposers. This research was carried out in the Greenhouse of the Department of Agroecotechnology and the Laboratory of Soil Physics and Chemistry, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarbaru from September - November 2020. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD). namely the administration of trichoderma decomposers consisting of 5 treatments which were repeated 4 times, so that 20 experimental units were obtained. Observation parameters in the study were C/N ratio, pH, temperature, humidity, macro and micro nutrients. The results showed that the type of trichoderma which is effective as a decomposer in making compost from dragon grass is Trichoderma harzianum. All parameters of macro and micro nutrients in dragon grass compost (Potamogeton sp) have met the criteria of SNI 19-7030-2004.

Abstract

Mustard (Brassica juncea. L) is a horticultural commodity that has good commercial and prospects. However, in the cultivation process, this plant experiences many obstacles, one of which is the attack of the caterpillar (Plutella xylostella L.) which is detrimental to farmers, which can cause damage of 54-83%, so further handling is needed using the entomopathogenic fungus B. bassiana to control the damage caused by pest attacks. This study aims to determine the best concentration of B. bassiana in increasing mortality of tritip caterpillar (P. xylostella). This research was conducted at the Agroecotechnology Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan from August - October 2020. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a single factor treatment consisting of six treatments and four replications. So that the total number of 24 experimental units is obtained. The observation parameters in the study were the mortality percentage of the caterpillar pest (Plutella xylostella L.) and the mean time of death of the caterpillar pest (Plutella xylostella L.). The application of the entomopathogenic fungus B. bassiana had a significant effect on the mortality of the caterpillar pest. The best dose to increase the mortality of tritip caterpillar was found in treatment b5 B. bassiana with a dose of 2.5 g / 100 mL aquades with a mortality percentage of 97.5% and the fastest mean time of death was obtained in treatment b4 b. bassiana with a dose of 2 g / 100 mL of distilled water with an average time of death of 2.1 days or 50.4 hours.

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of the potential food crop commodities of horticultural subsectors that continues to increase is white oyster mushrooms.  Utilization of coconut water is one alternative to increase production in the cultivation of oyster mushroom organic nature that is safe for consumers.This study aims to find out the best influence and dose of coconut water administration on baglog media on the growth and yield of white oyster mushrooms. The research was conducted in January-June 2020 in Banjarbaru The experimental method used is Rancagan Acak Lengkap (RAL) one factor in the form of coconut water dose (P). P0 : control, P1 : 8 mL coconut water / baglog, P2 : 12 mL coconut water / baglog, P3 : 15 mL coconut water / baglog and P4: 20 mL coconut water / baglog. Each treatment is repeated 4 times so that there are 20 units of experiments. Each experimental unit has 5 baglogs so there are 100 baglogs of white oyster mushrooms. Abstract

The increase in the population of Indonesia is 1.36% per year, so it is estimated that in 2020, 35.97 million tonnes of rice will be needed. The average production of superior rice varieties is 2.3 tons.ha-1 with a range of 2-2.5 tons.ha-1 and the average local rice varieties are 1.8 tons.ha-1 with a range of 1.5-2, 4 ton.ha-1.  The purpose of this research is to find out what problems exist in order to increase rice production in Limamar Village, Astambul District, Banjar Regency. This research uses a descriptive method. The research was conducted using the field survey method, this research was conducted in three stages, namely: (i) preparation, (ii) field implementation, (iii) data processing, and report preparation. Data were collected through field surveys as primary data, namely by collecting questionnaire data in Limamar Village. Based on the results of survey research carried out that the problem of increasing rice productivity in Limamar Village can be seen from gender, age, fertilization and pest control.

Abstract

Rice production (Oryza sativa L.) in Indonesia decreased in 2019, one of the causes was pest attacks. The golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata L.) is one of the potential pests because the heaviest attack can cause a decrease in rice production. Therefore it is necessary to take control measures to suppress the pest population, one way that can be used is with vegetable pesticides made from betel nut seeds because the content in it can cause toxic effects. This study aims to determine the effectiveness and also the best dose of the application of areca nut powder on the mortality of golden snails. This research was conducted in May 2021 – July 2021, at the Agroecotechnology Greenhouse, and on Jalan Qiramah Alam house number 13 B, Landasan Ulin District, Banjarbaru. The method used was a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with treatment P0 (control), P1 (dose of 1 g), P2 (dose of 2.5 g), P3 (dose of 5 g), P4 (dose of 7.5 g), and P5 (dose of 10 g) and each treatment was repeated 4 times. The results obtained showed that the application of areca nut powder was effective in controlling golden snails in the P3 treatment with a dose of 5 g was able to provide the best results on all parameters, as well as the right dose in controlling 50% of the population, with a dose of 2,343 g areca nut powder.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect and the best dose of trichocompost on the growth and yield of flower cabbage in ultisols. This research was conducted in July - October 2019 at the Mustika Griya Cantik complex B167, Cindai Alus Village, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province.  single factor completely randomized design, namely trichocompost fertilizer consisting of 7 levels of treatment repeated 4 times so that 28 experimental units were obtained and each experimental unit was repeated twice so that the total experiment was 56 units. The treatments used were k0: without trichocompost fertilizer, k1: trichocompost fertilizer 7.5t , k2: 15 t, k3: 22.5 t, k4: 30 t, k5: 37.5 t, k6: 45 t. The results of this study  effect  trichocompost on plant height at 28 days after planting, lots of leaves, flower emergence time, flower diameter And the best or dominant dose is more stable as seen from the results of the study, namely the dose of 37.5 t ha-1.

Abstract

Research has been conducted with the title Exploration and Identification of Fungus Causing Disease Sawi Pakcoy Plant (Brassica rapa L). This study aims to find out the types of diseases and symptoms that attack in pakcoy plants (Brassica rapa L). This research was conducted in Guntung Payung, Landasan Ulin District, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan (Field) and Agroecotechnology Production Laboratory of The Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru. For field research conducted by visual observation of disease attack symptoms or by looking at the symptoms seen in plants in the field, followed by identifying disease-causing pathogens in the laboratory. Field sampling was randomly taken in four crop plots. Samples taken in the form of parts of plants affected by the disease. The results showed there are three types of mushrooms that attack the plant of mustard pakcoy, fungus found to be pathogenic and also parasites that cause mustard pakcoy to grow not optimally and also cause death. Fungus who attacked in each map is Fusarium sp., Phytophthora sp. and Curvularia sp.

Abstract

One of the obstacles that inhibit edamame plants is the armyworm (Spodoptera litura) because it can cause crop failure and large losses. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various concentrations of papaya leaf extract to control armyworm attacks on edamame plants. The design in this study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor treatment P1 (Control), P2 (10% Concentration), P3 (20% Concentration), and P4 (30% Concentration). Each treatment was repeated 5 times, so that 20 experimental units were obtained. This research was carried out at the Production and Greenhouse Laboratory of the Department of Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, as well as at the Chemical and Industrial Environment Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University. This study was conducted from February to March 2021. The results of this study showed that P4 (30% Concentration) showed the highest average mortality with 80% mortality and was significantly different from other treatments. Treatment P4 (30% Concentration) also showed the highest average pest mortality rate with 1.2 heads/hour. The LC50 value of papaya leaf extract against armyworm (Spodoptera litura) was 9616 ppm at 72 hours after application. The higher the concentration of papaya leaf extract applied, the faster it can control the armyworm (Spodoptera litura).
