Abstract

Kalimantan selatan merupakan salah satu kawasan tropis dengan sumber keanekaragaman hayati yang melimpah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan ekstraksi dan skrining fitokimia terhadap beberapa tumbuhan yang secara etnis digunakan sebagai pengobatan. Metode ini sangat penting untuk mendapatkan gambaran terhadap golongan senyawa yang terkandung dalam tumbuhan obat. Tumbuhan yang diteliti  adalah rimpang patiti, kulit batang ambaratan, batang carikang habang, daun puspa, kulit batang balik anngin, daun bilaran tapah, dan daun karamunting. Hasil ekstraksi menggunakan etanol 70% rendemen terbanyak adalah daun puspa (30,76%) diikuti secara berturut-turut kulit batang balik angin (27,05%), daun bilaran tapah (23,53%), daun karamunting (10,88%), rimpang patiti (8,48%), batang carikang habang (3,56%), dan kulit batang ambaratan (2,04%). Skrining fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa rimpang patiti mengandung senyawa golongan flavonoid, fenol, tanin, saponin, dan terpenoid. Kulit batang ambaratan mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid, flavonoid, fenol, tanin dan antrakinon. Batang carikang habang mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid, flavonoid, fenol, tanin, saponin, steroid, dan antrakuion. Daun puspa mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid, flavonoid, fenol, saponin, dan terpenoid. Kulit batang balik anngin mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid, flavonoid, fenol, tanin, terpenoid, dan antrakuinon. Daun bilaran tapah mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid, flavonois, fenol, tanin, saponin, terpenoid, dan antrakuinon. Daun karamunting mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid, flavonois, fenol, tanin, saponin, dan terpenoid. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan dengan menggunakan metode DPPH melalui kromatpgrafi lapis tipis menunjukkan bahwa ketujuh tumbuhan yang diuji mengandung senyawa yang bersifat antioksidan. Abstract

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah dengan penerapan metode ConceptMapping dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam pada siswakelas V Sekolah Dasar Negri 058250 Perdamaian Kecamatan Binjai Kabupaten Langkat. Penelitian ini di lakukan dalam dua siklus dan tiap siklus di lakukan dalam dua kali pertemuan. Agar penelitian tindakan kelas ini berhasil dengan baik tanpa hambatan yang mengganggu kelancaran penelitian, peneliti menyusun tahapan-tahapan yang di lalui dalam penelitian tindakan kelas, yaitu: 1) perencanaan/persiapan tindakan, 2) pelaksanaan tindakan, 3) observasi, dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI. Berdasarkan hasil observasi Sebelum di lakukan tindakan hasil belajar siswa tergolong sedang dengan ratarata 51,1%, terjadi peningkatan pada siklus I dengan rata-rata 64,1%. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II juga terjadi peningkatan dengan rata-rata 77,4% dengan kategori baik, hal ini membuktikan bahwa dengan metode concept mapping dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negri 058250 Perdamaian Kecamatan Binjai Kabupaten Langkat.

Abstract

Abstract. Safitri YA, Hasanah U, Salamiah, Samharinto, Pramudi MI. 2019. Distribution of major diseases of shallot in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Asian J Agric 3: 33-40. Shallot is a vegetable crop with high economic value, but its productivity in Indonesia is still relatively low. One of the causes is due to attack of the diseases. The research was conducted from November 2017 to April 2018, with the purpose of studying the distribution of major diseases of shallots in South Kalimantan. It consisted of field, laboratory, and greenhouse research. Field research involved the survey of shallots’ extensive planting in eight villages of six districts in South Kalimantan, disease symptoms, the broad of attack, and the collection of secondary data. Laboratory research included the isolation and identification of the pathogen causing diseases. The greenhouse research was conducted to perform the Postulate Koch test. The research result showed that there were two major diseases of shallots, namely Moler and Anthracnose. Pathogen causing Moler disease (Fusarium oxysporum) attacked shallot plant in six districts (Tabalong, Balangan, Tanah Laut, Kotabaru, Tapin, and Banjarbaru) and pathogen causing Anthracnose disease (Colletotrichum sp) attacked shallot plant in five districts (Tabalong, Balangan, Tanah Laut, Kotabaru, and Tapin).

Abstract

Floods are natural disasters that frequently hit several developed and developing countries including Indonesia every wet season. Floods also occur in agricultural lands. The purpose of this study was to map the agricultural lands in flood hazard areas in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Data collecting methods used were field research and literature (library research). Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative approaches (mixed methods), with the techniques of scoring, SWOT, and spatial analysis (ArcView 3.2 software). Flood hazard levels of most areas in Hulu Sungai Tengah were categorized into no hazard (957.36 km2), low hazard (243.82 km2), medium hazard (455.01 km2), and high hazard (114.91 km2). The use of agricultural lands for rice fields in Hulu Sungai Tengah were located in all subdistricts and flood hazard areas.

Abstract

The escalating demand of shallot has forced the increase of domestic production, including through extension of harvest area by utilization of arable land on peatland. This study was aimed to analyze genetic profile of shallot adapted in peatland areas using SSR markers. Twenty-one shallot genotypes were tested in the field and eighteen primers dispersed throughout the genome was applied to analyze genetic diversity of the peatland-adapted shallots. Phenotypic evaluation revealed that shallot yield potential ranged from 6.66 to 14.21 t/ha. Of these, seven shallot clones (11 NA, 1111 TA, 12 NA, 12 NC, 20 NA and 22 N) had good yield potential and comparable with those of five released shallot varieties. Nine out of 12 shallot clones were moderately resistant to Alternaria porii. Clustering analysis showed that shallot genotypes were clustered into two main groups, Clustered I and II which consisted of 13 and 8 genotypes, respectively. The closest genetic relatedness was observed between 8NC and 8NA (0.85), while the farthest ones was between 11NA and Kramat2 (0.51). This result implies that cross combination between 11NA and Kramat2 is valuable and suitable for breeding programs aimed at improving shallot potential yield in the future.

Abstract

Moler disease / Fusarium wilt is a disease that often attacks onion plants with symptoms of attack in the form of twisted plant leaves. This disease is caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum. Moler disease control is carried out by giving chemical pesticides that have a negative impact on non-target living things and cause environmental damage. To reduce the use of chemical pesticides, one alternative that can be chosen is to use plant-based pesticides. Vegetable pesticides are made from easily available natural ingredients such as durian skin. In this leather waste there are active ingredients that can be used as fungal or antifungal control. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a solution from durian fruit peel on the fungus F. oxysporum on shallots. This research was tried using a Randomized Block Design (RAK) procedure with 5 treatments and was repeated 4 times. Durian rind has potential for vegetable pesticides because it can limit the growth of F. oxysporum. A very efficient solution in suppressing F. oxysporum is a 250 g durian rind solution dissolved in 1 liter of water with an attack intensity of 38.25%.

Abstract

Big red chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is a commodity that is very much needed, especially in the food industry and its needs are often increasing. The increasing demand is inversely proportional to the availability of chili that cannot be fulfilled. The causes include the constraints of fruit fly (Bactrocera spp.) attacks that always occur on chili plants. Symptoms caused by the presence of small holes in the chili fruit, the fruit falls out and there are larvae in the fruit. Control that is often done is to use chemical insecticides which can cause environmental pollution. One solution is to use refugia plants. This study was conducted to determine the effect of refugia plants on fruit fly attacks on chili plants and the effectiveness of kenikir (Cosmos caudatus) and marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) plants in suppressing fruit fly attacks on chili plants. The design used was a randomized block design (RAK) with 4 treatments, control (T0), kenikir and marigold plants planted with chili (T1), kenikir plants planted with chili (T2), marigold plants planted with chili (T3) and repeated as many as six times. The results of observations, refugia plants affect fruit fly attacks. Refugia marigold plant, the intensity of attack of fruit flies reached 6.01% and 19.30%, while the intensity of attack of kenikir was 13.61% and 33.61%, respectively

Abstract

Abstract Dengue hemorrhagic fever is one of the main problems in Indonesia, its handling on chemical insecticides with insecticide resistance constraints that can inhibit vector control efforts. Entomopathogenic fungi especially Metarhizium anisopliae is one of bioinsecticides that has been widely used in agriculture for controlling insect attacks, effective in killing mosquitoes, safe for vertebrates, humans and the environment and has a small risk of resistance. Appropriate methods of formulation and application for M. anisopliae infection to mosquitoes suitable for mosquito bionomic and fungus characteristics are required. Experimental research with complete randomized design was conducted to test the efficacy of. M.anisopliae solution mixed olive oil and honey formula applied to ovitrap, plant trap and black cotton trap in infecting adult female Ae. aegypti. The death of Ae.a egypti and fungal growth on kadaver was observed everyday. 100% Ae. aegypti death was obtained in the ovitrap method with mixed formulation of M.anisopliae and olive oil. This method was also capable of infecting Ae.aegypti in various phases of both adults, eggs and larvae so that in this study ovitrap olive oil method was the most effective method for infecting M.anisopliae on Ae.aegypti. Abstrak Demam berdarah dengue merupakan salah satu masalah utama di Indoneisa. Penggunaan insektisida kimia sebagai upaya pengendalian DBD saat ini memiliki kendala resistensi insektisida yang dapat menghambat upaya pengendalian vektor. Jamur entomopatogen khususnya Metarhizium anisopliae adalah salah satu bioinsektisida yang telah digunakan secara luas di bidang pertanian untuk pengendalian serangan serangga efektif membunuh nyamuk, aman bagi vertebrata, manusia dan lingkungan serta memiliki risiko resistensi yang kecil. Diperlukan metode yang tepat baik dari formulasi maupun cara aplikasi untuk penginfeksian M.anisopliae kepada nyamuk yang sesuai dengan bionomik nyamuk dan karakteristik jamur. Penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap dilakukan untuk menguji efektivitas formula M.anisopliae. Larutan M.anisopliae dicampur minyak zaitun dan madu yang diaplikasikan pada ovitrap, plant trap dan black cotton trap dalam menginfeksi Ae.aegypti betina dewasa. Pengamatan dilakukan pada kematian Ae.aegypti dan pertumbuhan jamur pada kadaver setiap hari. Kematian Ae.aegypti 100% didapatkan pada metode ovitrap dengan formulasi campuran M.anisopliae dan minyak zaitun. Metode ini juga mampu menginfeksi Ae.aegypti pada berbagai fase baik dewasa, telur maupun larva sehingga pada penelitian ini metode zaitun ovitrap dinyatakan metode yang paling efektif untuk penginfeksian M.anisopliae pada Ae.aegypti.

Abstract

Role of toxin produced by Botryodiplodia theobromae causes Diplodia Bark Diseases on some citrus. The purpose of the research was to study the role of toxin produced by Botryodiplodia theobromae causes diplodia bark diseases on some citrus. Research was conducted from March through November 2007. The experiment was done at the laboratory and at a glass house of the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases of the Faculty of Agriculture and the laboratory of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics Lambung Mangkurat University in Banjarbaru. For a leaf-necrosis bioassay of crude toxin production, the surfaces of the leaves were scratched near the center with a needle, and culture filtrate samples (50 µl) were placed on each wounded site. Treated leaves were incubated in a moist chamber with light at 26oC for 4 days, and toxin activity was determined by induction of veinal necrosis on the seven susceptible cultivar of citrus. The results of the experiment showed that the B. theobromae pathogens produced the toxin. The crude toxin was bioassayed for leaf necrosis to determine their ability to produce toxin. Culture filtrates of the isolate were highly toxic only on five susceptible citrus leaves siam Banjar citrus, sweet orange, lime, kaffir lime, and sour lime, indicating that the B. theobromae can produced toxin. Pathogenicity and toxin production of B. theobromae did not differ among different cultivar. While, no necrotic symptom produces on the pummelo and sunkist. Toxin production of B. theobromae produced during spore germination.

Abstract

Bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) merupakan tanaman sayuran yang memiliki banyak manfaat. Menurut BPS, produksi bawang merah Kalimantan Selatan sebanyak 1.143 ton. Dalam proses produksi tidak luput dari berbagai gangguan. Salah satunya adalah adanya serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman. Salah satu penyakit utama yang cukup membahayakan penyakit moler yang disebabkan oleh cendawan Fusarium oxysporum. Tanaman yang terserang F. oxysporum menyebabkan 10-15% bibit tidak tumbuh sempurna, tunas klorosis dan tanaman rebah kemudian membusuk, hal ini menyebabkan kerugian. Para petani biasanya menggunakan pestisida kimia untuk mengendalikan penyakit moler. Banyaknya penggunaan pestisida kimia memberikan efek buruk lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan serbuk kulit jengkol sebagai pestisida nabati untuk menjaga lingkungan dan memanfaatkan bahan yang ada dialam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas serbuk kulit jengkol terhadap penyakit moler pada bawang merah. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua tahap yaitu in vitro dan in vivo. Metode yang dilakukan pada in vivo adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu Kontrol (inokulasi F.oxysporum), F.oxysporum + fungisida kimia Antracol, F.oxysporum + serbuk kulit jengkol 125g/petak, 250g/petak dan 375g/petak dan 4 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara in vitro serbuk kulit jengkol efektif menekan pertumbuhan cendawan F.oxysporum sedangkan secara in vivo pada perlakuan F.oxysporum + sebuk kulit jengkol 375g/petak dan perlakuan F.oxysporum + fungisida kimia Antracol mampu menurunkan persentase intensitas serangan.
