Abstract

Enterprise design that rooted from functional modeling, information modeling, and data flow diagram arranges to explain and generate the structures and operations of enterprise. Based on functional, information, resource, and organizational views CIMOSA becomes a methodology to design or redesign the enterprise. In order to integrate the importance of views the IDEF methods is use to avoid information redundancy created by each view. Especially to integrate functional view and information view IDEF0 method generates the components of view as the input to generate the logic relationship between these views by IDEF1 method. Entity become the major factor to connect the IDEF0 and IDEF1in CIMOSA.

Abstract

Library has some aims in order to increase the management and services of library. One of the aim is that providing some information source and utilizing information technology. Library, which has its own information system, will be more easier in managing and library servicing. The methodology is done in three steps. At the preparing step was collecting the data through literature study and benchmarking of some typical library. In the analysis step was analyzed one for an existing system and also the new library system to be built. The analysis was including the organization preparedness using the library job description, analysis for digital library development principal using ten development principal of digital library, analysis for three main library activities which is directly connected to the system, analysis for database system using data integrated approach with database management system (DBMS), and analysis for an actors. The design for digital library system was used unified modelling language (UML). The test of Analysis and Design system was used CRC Model. The digital library to be designed in more ideal for facing the demography and the needs. Another aspect to be consider in converting the source in the digital form is the copyright and the network security system.

Abstract

Transportation needs of the crossing to the island of Ambon, Seram Island in path-Hunimua Waipirit since 2005 shows an increasing trend. Based on data from PT. Ferry Indonesia (Persero) Branch Ambon, since 2005 the flow of cargo through the track has experienced an average increase of 2.799% per year for passengers, 11.389% for 2 wheel vehicles, and 10.412% for 4-wheel vehicles. However, this trend is not followed by infrastructure development and operation patterns in anticipation of an imbalance between aspects of the provision and utilization aspects of ferry transport services, so that the average queuing time at Port can reach 3-5 hours. This study examines pedestrian transportation needs and to design the pattern of development by considering the operational and conceptual design of the existing ferry ports. The results showed transportation demand forecasting model for crossing the track Waipirit-Hunimua until 2014 was Y = 273,680.00 + 46,114.80 X for Passengers, Y = 76155.40 + 17381.00 X for Vehicle Wheels 2, Y = 35053.40 + 7191 , 70x for Vehicle Wheels 4. For that, the proposed operational pattern consists of 4 ships that sail the 16 trips per day on 2 lines, with a circulation time of 12 hours per day so the BOR by 50% and load factor can be optimized (reached 97% in 2014). On the ground facilities, the Port Terminal Building Waipirit need to develop an area of 11.43 m2 and the Areal Vehicle Parking area of 519.96 m2. While in port Hunimua, covering an area of 258.43 m2 Terminal Building and Parking Area covering an area of 578.44 m2

Abstract

This research is arranged to implement the system modeling concept to study public transportation problems in Bandung, East Java, particularly on Trans Metro Bandung program by using OR/MS methodology. Considering to the break event position the results of research through proving an effective loading capacity by defining the number of TMB armada efficiently attribute the contradicting interests of 2 major stakeholders, passengers (customer) and PT. DAMRI Kota Bandung (management). Since the balance position yielded by using 60% of total loading capacity or 6 units the 4 units left is potential to produce profit. Then we conclude the Trans Metro Bandung (TMB) vehicle available now on the number that can create the daily profit. From modeling view, internal validation on model shows that model fulfill the mathematical logic because of its consistency on units and relation patterns between variables.

Abstract

Regression Analysis is a statistical methodology that usually used for analyzing the relationship between a response and one or more predictor. When the response is categorical variable, then the regression methods that could be used are Logistic Regression and Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS). The result of both modeling can be used to classify the objects. The aim of this research is to find a quantitative model for explaining factors that influenced the success of students in joining the acceleration class. Evaluation the accuracy of classification rate is done by implementing Press Q statistic test. The result of Logistic Regression shows that the classification accuracy is 74,8 where as MARS yields 77,7. Hence, MARS model is the best model for evaluating the success factor of student in joining the acceleration class.

Abstract

Performance appraisal system is needed is a system that can assess the performance of all key components in the company. Balanced scorecard became one of the methods used to evaluate the performance of an enterprise in a comprehensive manner. Automotive service industry in particular workshop are included in general requires a qualified repair shop performance improvement strategy feasible, using the balance scorecard is expected to contribute through four perspectives: 1) financial, 2) customer, 3) internal business processes, 4) learning and growth..

Abstract

Reliability is probability that a product will perform a required function without any failures on certain operating conditions and at a certain time period. Most of the research on product reliability assumes that the product operates with a continuous pattern. In fact, in some situations the product usage patterns are intermittent. Examples of products with non-continuous usage patterns are an elevator, electric starter on a motorcycle, emergency generators, and others.

Abstract

From the engineering thermodynamics point of view, compressor is assumed as a device of a steady-flow process that the mass of air or gas with energy as heat and work could enter or exit from the system. Air came through the compressor assumed as the ideal gas according by the first & second law of thermodynamics and had a three stage polytropic and so could calculated the steady flow worked that reversible internally. By given the mass flow rate of air, the total of power input for running the third stage compressor could be calculated. At the the three-stage compressor, the air pressure could be dropped from maximum to minimum. This research aims to decide the specific work and by obtained the air flow rate we could calculate the power input by the compressor.

Abstract

Inventory management deals with determining the exact time and quantity of order to support the production plan. Excessive inventories incur extra cost while insufficient inventories can ruin the production schedule, hurting both the strategic value elements of delivery dependability and speed. This indicates that inventory is a crucial element of the production process. This literature review is addressed to the management of inventory in manufacturing process as well as the one in remanufacturing separately, and at the end, the inventory management in system where manufacturing and remanufacturing process occur simultaneously. Recommendations for future work are proposed at the end of this review.
