Abstract

Banjar Tegal Suci in Sebatu Village, Tegalallang, Gianyar, is one of the banjars with a relatively high number of elderly residents. Although there is already an elderly group and cadres, the activities carried out are still limited, such as the lack of diabetes screening, low health insurance coverage, and insufficient knowledge about healthy food preparation. The objective of this Community Partnership Program (PkM) is to improve the knowledge and quality of life of the elderly through several steps, namely diabetes screening, health insurance education, and education on diabetes prevention and healthy food preparation. The problem-solving framework applied includes three main steps: 1) Conducting diabetes screening by checking blood glucose levels, 2) Providing an understanding of the benefits of health insurance, how to register, and conducting meetings with relevant parties, and 3) Organizing education on diabetes prevention, healthy food preparation, and elderly exercise. The PkM activities were carried out in stages, starting with socialization to stakeholders and followed by the implementation of diabetes screening and education. The results showed an increase in knowledge among the cadres and the elderly, with a recorded 84% improvement in pre- and post-test scores for the cadres. Blood glucose testing revealed that 3 elderly individuals had glucose levels >200 mg/dL, and they were advised to follow up with further examinations. Additionally, to increase motivation, glucometers, weight scales, and t-shirts were provided to the cadres and the Puskesmas. Based on the results of these activities, it can be concluded that the PkM has successfully improved the elderly's knowledge and awareness of their health, particularly in diabetes prevention, and has improved access to healthcare services through health insurance.

Blahkiuh Village is one of the villages in Badung Regency that has Natural Resources (SDA) and Human Resources (SDM) that can potentially be developed. This can be seen from the carrying capacity and availability of land for peanut cultivation. Apart from that, the majority of people earn their living as farmers. Commodities cultivated by the people in Subak Blahkiuh include corn, chilies, water spinach, water henna, long beans and peanuts. Peanuts are one of the secondary crops that have economic value. Peanuts are usually planted in rice fields or moors singly or in pairs in the tumpeng sari system. Peanut plants (Arachis Hypogea L.) are plants that are widely cultivated in Indonesia because the soil conditions and temperature are very suitable and are one type of nut that is widely consumed by Indonesian people. Apart from being a source of protein, carbohydrates and vitamins, it is also used as a cooking spice, boiled peanuts and fried peanuts. This potential can encourage people to be more active in increasing peanut production and productivity. Abstract

The stagnant development of cooperatives is a concern for all parties, including the government and cooperative managers. Management serving the needs of non-members or the general public is considered less relevant to the welfare of cooperative members. This situation has led to management focusing on businesses oriented towards meeting member needs and failing to expand to meet the needs of non-members. Another problem faced by cooperatives in general is inadequate human resources, both in terms of cooperative knowledge, skills in managing cooperatives, and the ability to run a business. The Bhuana Artha Mulia Cooperative, which sells several basic necessities to its members, often faces challenges in financial management, particularly in terms of proper and systematic accounting records. Cooperatives still rely on manual recording or even lack bookkeeping altogether, making it difficult to accurately assess the business's financial condition. Activities implemented to address these issues include the establishment and design of a profit and loss bookkeeping system, the establishment and design of a cost of goods manufactured system, and the development of online promotional/marketing strategies.

Abstract

Waste has numerous impacts on humans and the surrounding environment. Waste is a challenging problem to address in both large and small cities in Indonesia, including in the Bualu Traditional Village, Badung. This is due to the community's consumer habits, which consistently produce waste, especially plastic, with every product used. Creatively utilizing plastic waste for handicrafts is a viable solution for transforming plastic waste into useful items, even those with sales value and aesthetic appeal. The series of training sessions provided to PKK (Family Welfare Movement) women has positively impacted participants' knowledge, skills, and confidence in managing household waste into creative, marketable products. Participants are not only able to create high-quality recycled products, but also understand how to set appropriate selling prices and market products through digital platforms.
