Abstract

Abstract

One ofe the sculpture that began to develop in some modern Hindu homes is the placement of the statue of the god Ganesha. The placement of the Ganesha idol is adjusted to the intent and purpose of Hindus in Bali. This also indirectly shows the variety and omnipotence of the god Ganesha. The trend of placing the statue of the god Ganesha and worshiping the god Ganesha in Bali further adds to the lively Hindu religious practices in Bali. Then the statue of Ganesha is not feasible to be placed in the house because it is a manifestation of Shiva, the main deity in Hindu mythology of Hinduism, the god Ganesha is a god who has a holy nature. Whereas in the Balinese Hindu school based on Buddhist Shiva which is manifested in three forces called Tri Sakti or Tri Murti, and in practice it is thick with Bhairawa rulers who already have standardized rules and are hereditary in Bali. Because Hinduism in Bali breathes Shiva Bhairawa, namely worship of god (Shiva God) in the form of his magic that is Dewi Uma or Goddess Durga.

Abstract

Hinduism is a universal religion that has a variety of styles of worship of the Holy spirit which is called God. Variants embodied in this style of worship which have dichotomous implications, on the one hand provides freedom in terms of worship that is egalitarian, but on the other hand raises which debate is better so that friction tends to be unavoidable in this case. The conventional Balinese Hindu religion and Sampradaya actually have good values that can be offered, so that the transfer of beliefs internally in Hinduism is very possible. Another factor is the archaeic cultural style that is closely attached to the Balinese people who do have an agrarian system so that worship of God in its strength aspect is very foremosted and the boring religious style makes this variant of the internal transfer of faith a tantalizing thing. These factors further exacerbate the dispute between Sampradaya and the concept of local diversity in Bali. The solution to this friction is very necessary in order to maintain the stability of Hinduism in Bali in particular and Indonesia in general.

Abstract

The canonical relation between the samkhya philosophy (based on the Samkhya Karika) and Aji Sangkya can be obviously observed through the title. The dualistic –discrimination of the purusha and the prakriti—discourse is always embedded to the samkhya system of philosophy since it was coined by Kapila (600 BC). This discourse has been spread out to all over the world, including the Archipelago. The influence can be read in several texts as Wrhaspati Tattwa and Tattwa Jnana (14th—15th AD) but the discourse of dualistic has been very different, supposedly undergoing a par- adigm shift. The focus of this article is to analyze the paradigm shift signified by the language use based on the radical hermeneutics (deconstruction) supported by the contextual stylistics approach. The result shows that the paradigm shift of the samkhya philosophical discourse is found in Aji Sangkya in several levels as ontological shift of philosophical discourse from materialistic-spirit- ualistic into saivistic-humanistik, from anxiety into saivistic, shift in the philosophical discourse of prakriti atau pradhana, purusha, buddhi atau mahat, ahamkara (ahangkara), manas, and all of the levels of paradigm shift are accumulated in the shift of the philosophical discourse structure or pattern of manifestation. This means that the Aji Sangkya of the Balinese modern philosophical text can be taken as the reformation of the philosophical discourse of samkhya.

Abstract

Karma is something that every human being must do. The karma that is carried out at this time will cause consequences in the future. This law of cause and effect is called the Karma Law. No one can avoid the wheel of rotation of Karma Law. God created the wheel of rotation of the Karma Law perfectly to regulate the process of all causal events that exist in the world. Therefore, no one can save someone from this turnaround, even God. The consequences of being rewarded depend on the cause done by a person depending on the motives of the Karma worked on. Cause and effect causes suffering in the form of dualism in life. The grief experienced by someone is generated from the virtual who shackles and causes Avidya or darkness. This article describes in detail how the relationship between karma and its object has an effect. The craving for a result in carrying out Karma also affects duality. In achieving lasting happiness is to transcend that duality, by diverting happiness which is only limited to the results of achieving eternal happiness by enjoying every process of karma done.
