Abstract

Human is a perfect being compared to other beings. Human perfection can be seen from the ability to think in solving the problems it faces. One of them is the problem of subjectivity. The problem of our self view to the others. It can not be denied in almost every life, most human problems that come to the surface as a form of conflict because of the inequality status in religious, social, political and economic. The doctrine of ahimsa taught by Gandhi to the world is the core of the various spiritual social experiences that we can make as the basic philosophy building, nurturing and fostering of tolerance life. By doing spiritual disciplines like prayer, service, devotion, loyal to the truth and de- veloping universal love as a form of spiritual experiences, the life of the universe will be filled with peace and harmony.

Abstract

Kakawin smaradahana tell story of the burning of Sang Hyang Smara through the third eye of Bhaṭara Siwa and tell romance story of sang hyang smara and dewī ratih. This Kakawin smaradahana contains the main noble values containing the teachings of love, namely the romance through the characterization of Sang Hyang Smara and Dewi Ratih. This romance of love is connected to a Hindu marriage, a teaching about Gṛhasta Aśrama or household life. The Gṛhastha Aśrama is a heredity in family life. The Gṛhastha Aśrama teachings contained inthe characterization of Sang Hyang Smara and Dewi Ratih show that a married couple must be able to maintain the relationship based on loyalty. The values contained in the story are the value of satyam (loyalty), the value of siwam (chastity) and the value of sundaram (beauty or the art) played by Sang Hyang Smara and Dewi Ratih.

Abstract

Bali merupakan salah satu daerah yang sangat menjunjung tinggi budaya, dimana sampai saat ini budaya bali masih berakar kuat di setiap gerak langkah kehidupan masyarakatnya. perempuan bali memiliki nilai tambah yang berperan penting dalam melestarikan budaya, karena perempuan bali menduduki posisi yang sangat strategis sebagai sosok panutan dalam pelaksanaan budaya. perempuan bali memiliki triple roles yakni peran keluarga, peran ekonomi dan peran adat keagamaan. pelaksanaan peran yang maksimal, baik di lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan tempat bekerja, maupun masyarakat umum (komunitas sosial budaya/adat keagamaan). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan fungsi dan peranan perempuan hindu dalam pelaksanaan yadnya di bali mengingat posisi wanita memiliki peran dan kedudukan yang sangat penting dalam ajaran agama hindu, bahkan wanita merupakan tiang yadnya yang memiliki peran mulai dari persiapan dan pelaksanaan yadnya. karena masyarakat hindu di bali yang begitu kental dengan pelaksanaan upacara keagamaan, sehingga kaum wanitanya hendaklah juga terampil dalam membuat sarana upacara dan ulet dalam hal melakukan aktifitas yadnya. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkap fungsi dan peranan perempuan Hindu dalam pelaksanaan yadnya di Bali hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa bentuk-bentuk peranan perempuan di Bali khususnya dalam kegiatan ritual keagamaan kebanyakan berperan dalam mengatur acara ritual secara keseluruhan. Maksudnya adalah para perempuan Bali dari awal dan dari jauh-jauh hari sudah mempersiapkan upacara kegiatan ritual yang akan dilaksanakan hampir setiap bulannya bahwa di Bali banyak sekali kegiatan yang benuansa ritual keagamaan

Abstract

Hindu values or concepts of leadership can be found in the Veda scriptures, Arthasastra, Dharmasastra as well as in Itihasa books such as Ramayana and Mahabharata and Purana books such as the Agni Purana, Vayu Purana. In the Bhisma Parwa story, many leadership values are implied. The Bisma Parwa book contains very noble Hindu leadership values. These values are very good as a guide for Hindus in carrying out swadharma as a leader. Hindu leadership values contained in the Bisma Parwa Book include: Leadership Values Based on Principles (Dharma), Leadership Based on the Principles of Love (Prema) Leadership Based on Wise Principles (Vinayam). A good leader is he who can lead himself and others on the principle of dharmaYudhistira or truth.is the leader of the Pandavas and the king of Astina Pura. He leads with a strong and high love. A leader is not required to have an attitude of truth and love, but also be wise in carrying out government. This wise attitude can cause people to live in peace, peace and security. Yudhisthira's behavior as stated in Bhismaparwa as a leader embodies an attitude that is ahimsa or does not hurt. Therefore, never have aattitude himsa towards others. Especially people who are still in suffering.

Abstract

Bali Island is an island that is rich in culture and arts, one of which is Barong. The existence of Barong is closely related to the life of the Hindu community in Bali. Barong has a charm as a means of supporting the existence of culture and tourism in Bali. Barong's charm is expressed in the form of local Balinese products, one of which is Barong clothing in Beng Village, Gianyar District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. The Barong symbol and philosophy has strong relevance to the creativity and morale of the young generation in innovation. Indirectly, Barong has a role in reducing moral degradation that occurs among the younger generation in Bali. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to explain the Barong philosophy and its relevance to the life of the young generation in Bali and to find out how the effectiveness of the Barong philosophy in maintaining the existence of culture and its relevance to the younger generation based on SWOT analysis. Research instruments include observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, objects of observation, and books, and journals. The data obtained were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study are as follows; It can be seen from the percentage of community responses regarding the role of Barong in every tradition in Bali of 81.00%, and the relevance of the Barong philosophy to the young generation in Bali by 92%, indicating that the Barong philosophy and the life of the community, especially the younger generation, have a continuous relationship. Based on the SWOT results, the strength of the understanding of Barong's philosophy among the younger generation is in line with the provision of understanding and development of the creativity of the younger generation. However, the development of the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which is increasingly sophisticated is slowly causing a decline in the morale of the younger generation, so an approach is needed through interaction and provides a forum for the younger generation to channel creativity.

Abstract

The Mabersih Dukuh ceremony is a unique ceremony carried out by Nyuwung residents in the village of Abianbase Gianyar. It is said to be unique because this ceremony is a kind of initiation that has a different form from the conventional initiation system that has been commonly carried out so far. Mabersih Dukuh ceremony can be coordinated like Pawisik, Mapekeling, Nyumbah, ngunggahang banten, ngarga tirtha, mar- eresik, prayer, mabyakala, malukat, foot cleansing process, Seda Raga and the stages of Natab Banten Suci, Makemit at the Panyuwungan Panti temple and Munggah Dukuh Pengarep ceremony. Mabersih Dukuh cer- emony has theological implications, namely the meeting of two teachings between Brahmaism and Sivaism. These two understandings go hand in hand as can be seen from the Mabersih Dukuh ceremony procession. This article describes in full how the chronology of the ceremony and the various things related to it. Through this description it is expected that there is a pattern of elaboration on the existence of unique ritual culture that is worthy of being known by the public so that they are increasingly aware of the diversity of religious cultures inherited by their ancestors. The inspiration obtained is an effort to save this tradition by the young- er generation so that the estapet of noble civilization continues to run well.

Abstract

For ordinary people the universe is a vehicle that is very secret and very difficult to understand. This is due to human limitations in describing it as the impact of knowledge that has not been well developed. Not only ordinary people, even scientists are still very difficult to explain the various events that are displayed by the universe. In scientific disciplines, the conception of the universe can be learned using applied science called cosmology. Cosmology is a scientific discipline that seeks to provide explanations related to the creation of the universe, the phenomena of the universe, as well as threats to the universe or the destruction of the universe. Cosmology deals with the creation, maintenance, and fusion of the universe. All of that is studied in the discipline of cosmology. In Hinduism there is a teaching or knowledge that discusses the same thing, the teachings included in the Vedas are called viratvidyā (Hindu Cosmology). This teaching emphasizes the vedas as a basis for thinking to formulate a theory that can describe the ins and outs of the universe. One of the Vedic books that deals with the teaching of viratvidyā is Upaniṣad, which is specifically found in the Bṛhad‘Āraṇyaka Upaniṣad. The viratvidyā teachings contained in the Bṛhad‘Āraṇyaka Upaniṣad will be reviewed using the Hindu perspective. This viewpoint specifically will be discussed with a focus on the very complex primordial element, God. Therefore the concept of this teaching will be reviewed and elaborated based on the perspective of Hindu theology.

Abstract

Cultural diversity in the middle of pluralism is one of the assets of national and state life in Indone- sia. Culture, then, is thus one of the most appropriate alternatives for integrating ethnicity, ethnicity and religion under an inclusive and democratic order. With the appreciation of culture and the pres- ervation of traditional values  w ill create a harmony and integrity of Lombok society. In some Hindu literature the concept of unity and unity is contained in the teaching of kuntumbakam and tatvam ation which means all brothers and I are you. Thus the unity, brotherhood, and togetherness creates a family atmosphere towards peace. The existence of such understanding and views as a strong foundation so as to stimulate the presence of caring and and togetherness that is based on a sense of affection towards others. It is necessary to get serious attention in order to cultivate increasing the harmony and adherence of religious people in Lombok. Referring to the above view there are several things that can be used as a reference in increasing harmonization of religious harmony in Hindu’s view: a) Eliminating feelings of suspicion or hostility towards followers of other religions; b) Does not marginalize or blame a person for making a mistake; c) Providing a sense of appreciation of other people in carrying out their worship, in addition to not interfere with other people who are worshiping; and d) avoid discrimination against other religions.

Abstract

The book Īśā Upaniṣad is upanisad which is quite unique and important. Īśā upaniṣad is the shortest and smallest upaniṣad of all 18 types of upaniṣad, but is the most important upaniṣad of all upaniṣad books in Hinduism. Īśā Upaniṣad is always associated with Veda Śruti, the Yajur Veda Putih (Śukla Yajur Veda). Īśā Upaniṣad is in addition to the notion of Īśā, as well as some of the teachings on which Hinduism is based. The book Īśā Upaniṣad described that the principles of the teachings contained in Īśā Upaniṣad, namely divinity, karma, the universe, vidyā and avidyā. God is called Īśā. The absolute Iśā, and the Impersonal. The universe and all its contents are either soul or soulless, controlled by Īśā. Therefore every living creature fights steadily with the karma and closer to God in his life. Furthermore, Brahma Vidyà teachings contained in Iśā Upaniṣad, namely: God almighty, God can not be thought, God is the source of all, God is everywhere, ātman, sambhūti and asambhūti. God is called Īśā, essentially Esa, the source of everything that exists in the universe and becomes the place of the return of all things. The one, while still in place, does not move, but his speed exceeds the mind, preceding the velocity of the Gods. God is unthinkable, supernatural, pervading everything, everywhere.

Abstract

The problem presented by the researcher was can Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Improve Competency of Hindu Teacher in Designing Lesson Plan Literated PPK Hots and 21st Century Learning (C4) in Junior High School Trained District of Melaya Subdistrict, Jembrana Regency? Focus of improvement in the study was improving Hindu teacher’s ability in designing lesson plan in form of professional training which was conducted in two cycles. The main objective was to describe improvement of teacher’s ability in designing lesson plan based on the findings in the study, which was shown as follow. There has been an average improvement of teacher’s ability in designing lesson plan from pre-cycle as many as 69.05), the first cycle was 76,60 and the second cycle was 89,90 at excellent category. According to the observation and the data analysis concluded that by Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity was able to improve competency of Hindu teacher in designing lesson plan in 2019/2020Â
