Abstract

The challenge of the energy crisis will be a phase experienced by cities. This can be seen in the projected urban population which continues to increase by 67%. This will be a shock as well as a new pressure for city life in addition to the burden of climate change. This study aims to provide a new approach and steps in assessing the energy crisis through risk management. The system of risk management will help make it easier to analyze the energy security situation and concepts that must be faced during an energy crisis. The establishment of this management system to prevent and control the energy crisis indicated that there were still misunderstandings and disagreements regarding the factors that should be a risk. This risk management consists of the concept of strategy, goal setting, resource requirements, risk identification, risk assessment, action planning, and risk communication that dominate various literatures. The results of the identification of risk management factors will make it easier to understand the strategies and policies that will be applied to improve and improve the quality status of urban management in order to create a resilient city. Abstract

Research on the madrasah diniyah compulsory education program in Pasuruan Regency was conducted to reveal the relationship between public policy and the power of a particular religious group. A qualitative approach was applied to this research, by presenting facts that had been collected through several reports and in-depth interviews. Furthermore, the fact findings are analyzed based on the principles, concepts and theories of public policy. Research also relies on the results of existing research, especially research with similar material objects and similar perspectives. The focus of this research is to analyze the background of policy making, the dynamics of policy making, and program implementation. The results of this study indicate that the purpose of establishing the madrasah diniyah compulsory education program is to instill religious values to build morality and overcome crime. This research also confirms that regulations related to compulsory education at madrasah diniyah in Pasuruan Regency were formed because of the closeness between policy makers and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) as a social organization. NU is the dominant force in social, cultural, and governmental politics. This research also clearly finds indications of policy exclusivity. The stipulated program only contains the interests of one group, thus reducing the power of other groups as elements that also live in the public sphere. Another implicative aspect is the increasing implementation of madrasah diniyah in Pasuruan district which is followed by an increase in the quality of teachers.

Abstract

Taxes are a source of state revenue, it can be seen that income from the tax sector is one of the largest sources of state revenue. One of the efforts to increase state revenue is to enforce the law in the field of taxation. In order to support law enforcement, the imposition of sanctions is carried out correctly, precisely and does not overlap so that it can provide legal certainty and benefits both from the government side and from the taxpayer side. the author compares tax law with China regarding criminal acts of taxation, imposition of sanctions such as law enforcement for taxpayers who commit violations and/or crimes that violate the provisions stipulated by law. The results of the comparison regarding the provisions of tax law in China, it is necessary to reform the tax law, that is, the imposition of sanctions is enough to only use fine administrative sanctions if the state's losses have been returned by the perpetrators of crime, implement a blacklist system against tax evaders and tax violations, imposition of sanctions against Tax officials should be included as a codified unit in the tax law.

Abstract

The most important thing for parents to achieve is a safe environment for their children to grow up in. Children need to be guided properly to lead a good life in the future. Psychoanalysis, a theory by Sigmund Freud, generally discusses a person's experiences in their early stage of life. This article employs psychoanalysis as the grand theory, focuses on the relationship between childhood trauma and its impact on adulthood, and implements a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the main character of Ottessa Moshfegh's novel, McGlue. The story follows McGlue, a man who suffered childhood trauma after discovering he was unfairly treated by his mother and was continuously rejected by society. It aims to analyze the causes of his trauma and how it affected the defense mechanisms that he did in his adulthood in facing reality. The defenses he did were mostly performed when his best friend, Johnson, died. When confronted with Johnson's death, he used four defense mechanisms: selective memory, regression, projection, and denial. McGlue turned into an individual who chose violence to protect himself from hurting. This study finds that his traumatic experiences made him against the world, judging by how he consumed alcohol since he was young and continuously doing illegal and irresponsible things.

Abstract

Legal arrangements regarding the protection of workers in Indonesia are regulated in Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower, updated by Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation. However, it was found that there are still many employers who pay their employees' salaries below the minimum wage set by the Pamekasan Regency Government. This has violated their legal obligations under the labor law even though legally the salary amount is the result of an agreement between the employer and the worker. This research will be using a normative-empirical research method where it will be seen how the implementation of existing laws with facts in the field occurs. The findings are that due to lack of literacy and public understanding of the law and the prevalence of low wages in Pamekasan Regency, this practice has become commonplace. A lawsuit to the court can be one way to enforce their rights.

Abstract

Feuds and conflicts that occur in the world are dynamics that occur and things that cannot be avoided by the state. Conflicts between Israel and Palestine occur repeatedly, but the realization of international accountability has not been in accordance with existing rules. The existence of events that resulted in casualties in the war must be accounted for by Israel as a State, as well as the individuals involved. As a result of this action, the perpetrators of war crimes must be held accountable under international law. The problem with this article is what is the responsibility of the State of Israel for violating the laws of war? The conclusion of this article is: There is no responsibility of the State of Israel for violations of the laws of war, from every violation of international law Israel remains free from punishment, of course this is related to international politics which is considered very inhumane. Israel has not ratified the Rome Statute, so the ICC certainly will not be able to process cases of war crimes committed by Israel, making it difficult to hold Israel accountable for violations of the laws of war. In order for the implementation of international humanitarian law enforcement for perpetrators of war crimes, it can be carried out through Internationally Wrongful Acts, it can be realized by carrying out full reparations for losses in the form of restitution, compensation and satisfaction, either separately or in combination.
