Abstract

Permainan daring Mobile Legends: Bang-bang (MLBB) banyak digemari oleh anak muda di Indonesia; termasuk pemuda gereja. Kendati banyak penggemarnya, permainan tersebut nyatanya dianggap buruk karena ada ancaman adiksi bagi para pemainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengajak gereja-gereja di Indonesia peka dan memberdayakan perkembangan teknologi digital seperti permainan MLBB, guna melakukan pembimbingan spiritual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bagwa dasar yang menjadi landasan eklesiologis adalah gereja model taman yang diajukan oleh Joas Adiprasetya. Dengan model taman, perkembangan spiritual anggota gereja melalui game online seperti MLBB menjadi dimungkinkan.

Abstract

This paper explores the issue of preaching to God, the Church, and the powers presented by Charles L. Campbell, where we learn that reading and interpreting Colossians and Ephesians (and indeed the whole New Testament) through the lens of Empire opens up the depths of interpretation and understanding which is not obvious, otherwise. What the New Testament writers penned spoke to the world around them, including the visual cues (art, temples, monuments, coins, festivals), values, politics, economics, faith (especially Emperor cult worship), and the realities of daily life within the Roman Empire. The New Testament writers understood the existence of the three powers (God, the Church, and the spirits or powers). Their daily lives were shaped by all kinds of forces that befall them, and the reality of these forces permeates their writing. The ultimate purpose is we are invited to examine (discern), enumerate, and speak loudly against the rulers, spirits in the air, and the governments of injustice that rule in this world with the power of the one ruler, the Way, which has another Kingdom overcoming the imperial Empire.

Abstract

The thought that God is far away is a problem for Pentecostals. At the same time, God is called the Father, who is close to greeting His people. This research provides specific answers to Thomas Aquinas' thoughts combined with Pentecostalism regarding the worship that God is present as transcendent and immanent. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a constructive theological approach. The research results show that Pentecostals must first understand transcendence and immanence as a form of God's holy presence. In the worship of Pentecostals, the immanent God becomes proof that God is near when worshiping Him in spirit and truth, and God is transcendent and immanent that His existence is not only sought for proof but experienced.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan bagian penting dalam proses belajar untuk menciptakan generasi unggul di masa depan. Namun semangat untuk membentuk karakter tidak terinternalisasi dalam proses pendidikan formal maupun informal. Tidak terinternalisasinya pendidikan karakter karena ketiadaan sumber yang secara khusus menekankan karakter, khususnya karakter Kristus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji sumber ajaran Kristen dari 1 Petrus bagi pembentukan karakter remaja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan nilai teologis dari surat 1 Petrus mampu membangun komunitas iman yang berlandaskan kebenaran Firman Tuhan. Petrus menekankan agar remaja mampu menerangi lingkungan dimana mereka ditempatkan.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence is increasingly used in various fields and disciplines. The discourse always associated with its use is the efficiency and speed produced. One of the Artificial intelligence developments is ChatGPT, a platform to get answers to theoretical questions. The presence of ChatGPT gave birth to pros and cons among Christian religious educators. This research aims to study the idea of ChatGPT in Christian Religious Education. The method used is qualitative with a netnography approach. The research results show that ChatGPT will reduce the values in Christian Religious Education as a learning process to become like Jesus. Nevertheless, on the other hand, ChatGPT can be used as a broad overview of something.

Abstract

Various kinds of issues are present in human life. Some lead to complex conflicts and relationships that negatively affect many parties. In this paper, the author observes culture in the context of the Batak tribe, one of the root causes of family conflict. This article examines the influence of culture, which has played a significant role in generating conflict between parties and becoming an obstacle to restoring relations. The method used is a case study of the process of pastoral counseling. The study results show that conflicts within the Batak ethnic family can be mediated with a comprehensive understanding of the Batak ethnic group. With a typical understanding, conflicts can be resolved properly.

Abstract

This article intends to discuss and compare two ecclesiological models, namely, the gathered church and the scattered church, and to find their relevance to the life of the post-pandemic churches. By surveying several texts of Acts and the ecclesial practices in some eras in enlivening both models, the article attempts to discover some paradigmatic patterns of being the church. The result of this research is expected to be beneficial for constructing an ecclesiology for the post-pandemic season.

Abstract

Rebirth is generally understood as the process in which a person's soul moves into a new body after death. Rebirth is a concept understood by Christianity and Hinduism but from different perspectives. This study uses a qualitative method in which the researcher will explore the meaning of 1 Peter 1:13-25 through exegesis and conduct a comprehensive study on Rebirth. The purpose of this paper is to provide a complete explanation of the concept of Rebirth in Christianity based on the text of 1 Peter 1:13-25 and in Hinduism based on the Veda. This paper's results find differences in the understanding of Rebirth between Christianity and Hinduism, but interesting similarities are also found. From these findings, the researcher invites every reader to understand and appreciate every difference that exists to foster a sense of unity among Christians and Hindu.

Abstract

This research examines the stigma and marginalization of certain groups regarding the presence and contribution of Pentecostalism in Indonesia as an Indonesian citizen who is part of a global Christian denomination. This research aims to show the argumentative basis of Amos Yong's thinking about hospitality as an inter-subjective and communal experience for global and national communities. This research method is qualitative research. The data was obtained through Amos Yong's thoughts. The research findings show that although hospitality is confined within localities in each region, at the same time, it is a global context itself by removing one by one the segregative barriers within the global space. Through its hospitality actions, Pentecostalism was able to answer the differences in non-productive stigma on a national scale when it clashed with the nationalization of Pentecostalism in Indonesia with all its suspicions about its contribution and axiology.

Abstract

This article aims to provide a simple explanation of the duties and responsibilities of the family in instilling religious values ​​as the foundation for religious moderation in the Indonesian context. The background of this research is that the emergence of various intolerance actions in this country that tend to wear religious clothes as a shield cannot be denied, it is undeniable that the family is negligent in providing the basics of true faith coupled with adequate education regarding respect and respect for fellow believers. The writing method used in this article is a literature study which will dissect and analyze various ideas and concepts to produce a design for instilling values ​​in sowing family-based religious moderation. The results of this study answer that the inculcation of religious values ​​in the family will also build an attitude of moderation in one's religion when outside the family environment both at school and elsewhere.
