Edutourism Journal of Tourism Research (EJTR) published twice a year in June and December by Tourism Department of State Polytechnic of Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The publication of this journal is a scientific and applied journal in hospitality and tourism studies. The manuscript can be research papers, review articles, and conceptual, technical, and methodological papers on all aspects, including research findings, experimental design, analysis, and recent application in hospitality and tourism studies. Abstract

The development of increasingly sophisticated and rapid technology has made people's lifestyles to change, one of the most striking things is the tendency to do activities in cyberspace, such as purchasing tickets online. Online hotel ticket purchases can be made through the E-Commerce site on the hotel's official website or through third party websites. E-Commerce is known as an Online Travel Agent, with the existence of an Online Travel Agent, prospective guests have a very diverse choice of hotels according to their wants and needs. Prospective guests can directly book hotel rooms and change their bookings easily. The aim of the author is to examine changes in guest behavior, especially guests who previously directly booked a room directly to the hotel, switch to using an Online Travel Agent and find out what promotional strategies hotels should do to increase the number of room bookings through Online Travel Agents. Promotion strategy analysis using SWOT analysis such as SWOT Matrix, IFAS, EFAS, Cartesian Diagram, Internal and External Matrix. The results of the analysis of internal factors and external factors show that the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta hotel has a strong market competitive position in competition with other five star hotels. This shows that the hotel must continue to make efforts to improve product quality, facilities and services as well as maximize product sales.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi promosi yang dilakukan oleh pihak pengrajin maupun Dinas Pariwisata dalam melakukan promosi terhadap Sarung Tenun Samarinda Sebagai Produk Wisata Budaya di Samarinda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa promosi yang dilakukan oleh pengrajin belum dilakukan secara maksimal, selain itu Dinas Pariwisata sebagai pengambil kebijakan belum maksimal terlibat dalam melakukan upaya promosi. Metode observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka digunakan sebagai cara pengumpulan data setelah itu dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan SWOT digunakan untuk menganalisi faktor internal dan eksternal kondisi saat ini di Sarung Tenun Samarinda.

Abstract

Kebun Raya Unmul Samarinda sebagai salah satu destinasi tujuan wisata yang berada di Samarinda, Kalimatan Timur memfungsikan sebagai tempat memelihara, membina vegetasi dan memperbanyak keanekaragaman flora jenis-jenis eksotik, tempat penelitian, tempat pendidikan lingkungan hidup dan berperanan sebagai areal rekreasi alam (Ekowisata). Sebagai salah satu destinasi unggulan di Samarinda KRUS berusaha agar tetap diminati oleh para pengunjung, namu hal ini tidaklah mudah jika pemasaran yang dilakukan secara optimal terutama bagaimana mengkomunikasikannya kepada pengunjung. Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui strategi promosi yang tepat dalam rangka meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan Kebun Raya Unmul Samarinda. Hasil penelitian merekomendasikan kepada pihak pengelola untuk tidak saja menggunakan promosi dari mulut ke mulut namun di bantu dengan menggunakan bauran promosi lainnya yang terdiri dari Advertising, Personal Selling, Publicity, dan Sales Promotion sebagai strategi promosi Kebun Raya Unmul samarinda

Abstract

Research Objectives to find out how the relationship between the development of tourist destinations and environmental conservation in Samarinda Botanical Garden, the results of the study show that there is a very positive relationship and strong relationship between developments in terms of infrastructure, infrastructure carried out with environmental conservation for the progress tourism and for the preservation of the environment around the Samarinda Botanical Garden Nature Tourism destination, which shows a positive and strong number between the independent variables (X), namely development with the dependent variable (Y) environmental conservation. Then the relationship between development and environmental conservation is smaller which shows there is significance.

Abstract

His study aims to determine whether individual personality factors, job prospect factors, college image factors, and family support factors simultaneously influence the decision to choose a tourism study program at the Department of Tourism in Samarinda State Polytechnic? Do individual personality factors, job prospect factors, college image factors, and family support factors partially influence the decision to choose a tourism study program at the Department of Tourism in Samarinda State Polytechnic? This study uses multiple regression analysis and is used to analyze the results of the study. H1 accepted Then the individual personality factor variable has a dominant influence on the decision to choose a tourism study program. I can see that the count> table is (6,844)> (1,664) and a significant value of 0,000> 0,005. With the regression coefficient value is positive that is equal to 0, 414. I accepted then h1 the prospect of employment affects the decision to choose a tourism study program, I can see that the count> table is (2.581)> (1,664) and a significant value of 0.01 < 0.05. The regression coefficient value is positive at 0.277. H1 is accepted, then the image of the college influences the decision to choose tourism study programs. I can see that the value of dignity> table (1.432) <(1.664) With the positive coefficient of regression is 0.097 H1 is accepted then family support influences the decision to choose a study program tourism, it can be seen that the value of count> table is (2.007)> (1,664) and a significant value of 0.04 <0.05. Based on the ANOVA test, a Fcount of 45,947 can be obtained with a significant level of 0,000. Therefore, the probability is much smaller than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) and Fcount> Table (45.947> 2.32), so it can be stated that the independent variables include individual personality factors (X1), employment prospect factors ( X2), college image factor (X3), and family support factor (X4) simultaneously or jointly influence the decision variable in choosing a tourism study program.

Abstract

The CHSE (Clean, Health, Safety & Environment) Certification Program or Hygiene, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability is granting certificates to tourism businesses, other related businesses/facilities, community environments, and tourism destinations. CHSE certification serves as a guarantee to tourists and the public that the products and services provided have complied with the hygiene, health, safety, and environmental sustainability protocols. The average result of the total questionnaire variable CHSE (X) in 3-star category hotels in Depok is 72% which is classified in the good category. From all statement indicators, I can see that we find the lowest indicator in guests washing hands with soap/hand sanitised before and after entering the restaurant, this is because of the unavailability of a place to wash hands in the restaurant area. From all statement indicators, I can see that they find the highest indicator in the transportation party. Here, the driver/guest carries out the guidelines for parking the vehicle following existing instructions and rules with a result of 78%. From the results of simple linear regression analysis, I found that the CHSE variable X affected the decision to stay.

Abstract

Tourism emphasizes the authenticity of an area with the principle of preservation and sustainable development, but technology is one factor that influences it enough to attract tourists or ease management in the tourism sector. The terminology of smart tourism appears as a direction in the support system for supporters in the tourism sector. One system in implementing smart tourism is gamification, which is still a lot of ordinary people in the system. This article examines the extent of the application of gamification in the concept of smart tourism and what things are still obstacles in the application of gamification in the tourism industry so that it can be a recommendation for further research. So that both are expected to provide an understanding of the application of gamification and the extent of realization in the concept of smart tourism. The method used in this research is a literature study. The results got by the application of gamification in smart tourism are very helpful in the tourism industry. This system provides tourism development, namely providing education, using the potential and use of technology. Gamification is a system where tourists are given more flexibility for activities and interacting with tourist areas, both visually and directly.

Abstract

Desa Ciririp berada di Kecamatan Sukasari, Kabupaten purwakarta. Desa ini berada pada ketinggian 116 m di atas permukaan laut. Desa Ciririp berbatasan dengan Desa Kertamanah di sebelah utara, berbatasan dengan Desa Sukasari di sebelah selatan, berbatasan dengan kawasan Perhutani di sebelah barat dan berbatasan dengan Danau Jatiluhur di sebelah timur. Desa Ciririp memiliki daya tarik wisata alam yang diantaranya danau, hutan, air terjun, sungai dan pemandangan alam yang masih asri. Salah satu daya di desa ini adalah Curug Tilu yang mengalir pada tiga undakan batu dan bongkahan batu andesit. Penulis tertarik untuk membahas tentang pengembangan aktivtias di Desa Ciririp. Dengan berkembangnya aktivitas wisata dapat meningkatkan minta wisatawan untuk mengunjungi Kabupaten Purwakarta, secara khusus ke Desa Ciririp. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dimana peneliti menggunakan instrumen kunci dan objek yang alamiah. Dalam penelitian ini data diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam terhadap partisipan kunci. Secara keseluruhan Desa Ciririp belum memanfaatkan sumber daya yang dimiliki secara maksimal, masih terdapat beberapa sumber daya alam yang tidak dikembangkan sebagai daya tarik wisata. Secara keseluruhan Desa Ciririp belum memanfaatkan sumber daya yang dimiliki secara maksimal, masih terdapat beberapa sumber daya alam yang tidak dikembangkan sebagai daya tarik wisata. Diperlukan kolaborasi antara pengelola, masyarakat dan pemerintah dalam mengembangkan aktivitas wisata di Desa Ciririp.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Eco-friendly Practices, Green Brand Image and Green Initiatives on the number of tourists visiting Pontianak. The type of research used in this research is quantitative by using a survey method wherein survey research using a questionnaire that will be given to respondents according to predetermined criteria. The population of this research is the consumer who has visited, received offers and made purchase decisions at least two times for Starbucks products with the sample is 100 respondents. The technique used is non-probability sampling, which is a sampling technique that does not provide equal opportunities for each element or member of the population to be selected as samples, and the purposive sampling method is a sampling technique with certain considerations. The data will be analyzed by using PASW Statistics 18 software application and the method used is multiple linear regression with the variables of Eco-Friendly Practices, Green Brand Image and Green Initiatives, and several tourists. The results show that Eco-Friendly Practices, Green Brand Image and Green Initiatives have a significant effect number of tourists visiting Pontianak.
