Abstract

Abstract— This study explored experimentally the use of vertical and horisontal position of cylindrical drying chamber dryer Fluidzed Deep against temperature distribution, humidity, drying rate, decreasing grain water level, and decreasing grain mass. The method used in this research is design and experiment. This machine uses a burning furnace as a heat source,sengon/ albasia wood as fuel, flat plate type heat exchanger, cyclone to convert wet vapor to dry vapor, filter to dry vapor cleaner, cylindrical drying chamber, blower to blow air, and Jig to support all components. This experiment was carried out three times for the drying chamber in a vertical position, and three times for the drying chamber in a horisontal position. In one drying time, it takes about 270 minutes. In the drying chamber measured temperature and humidity at 12 points of measurement. The results showed that the horisontal cylinder drying chamber produced higher temperature distribution than the vertical cylinder drying chamber, but the temperature distribution was less even, the vertical cylinder dryer produced lower humidity than the horisontal cylinder drying chamber, but resulted in higher deviation than the horisontal cylinder dryer. Drying rate, decrease in grain water content, average grain decrease on average faster than horisontal cylinder. The process of reducing the grain moisture content from about 20% bb to a moisture content of dry milled grains of about 14% bb occurred for 270 minutes or about 4, 5 hours. Keyword: Experimental design; Fluized deep dryer; dryer efficiency

Abstract

Abstract—The company has a problem in warehouse layout arrangement so it will cause some kind of waste in the warehouse such as long searching time when searching spare parts in warehouse, transportation time when bringing material to warehouse or from warehouse to outside warehouse and transportation time at time of arrangement of material to storage shelf. Besides the problem that is noticed is the handling of discontinue material and the completeness of safety for warehouse operators. The purpose of this study can know the whole activity and the kinds of waste that occurred, so that can be done to the improvement of activity in the storage. The method used in measurement using fishbone diagram, and use Tools 5S + Safety. Based on the calculation that utility use of warehouse space owned raw material PT. Nichirin Indonesia is close to 70%. Layout raw material for now 77% of raw material is already used for material storage. After the layout improvements, the utility of raw material usage is reduced to 37.11%. various wastes that occur among others, Waiting time on goods delivery activities from suppliers, Transportation time on activities to bring goods from outside to the receiving area, Waiting time because the material must wait arranged by the admin / operator who works, Transportation time at the time of setting goods to shelf and Searching time on activities to find material for production needs. To reduce the waste that occurred among others, Add material handling in the form of trolley goods and ladder to shorten the transportation time, Make changes to warehouse layout and Provide labeling / coding on each area of the material rackKeywords: Waste; Layout raw material; Fishbone diagram; Tools 5S + Safety

Abstract

Abstract— The research conducted focuses on the services provided by Galaxy Mall Surabaya regarding the food court. Food court is a place for customers to buy food in addition to the existing food stores, so the food court has an important role in the economy of a mall. The study was conducted to find out what things are considered important and must be in a food court, especially in Galaxy Mall Surabaya. This is gained through functional and dysfunctional questions. The study was conducted by distributing an online questionnaire. Questionnaires are distributed to 100 respondents from various backgrounds and know the food court of Galaxy Mall or have used the facility. The results obtained show that the factors asked have been applied by the Galaxy Mall well. The results of data recaps performed show that functional and dysfunctional questions on Kano Model produce indifferent result. These results are obtained in all functional and dysfunctional questions. Therefore, Galaxy Mall is able to apply the services that are important only in the management of his food court.Keywords: Importance Measurement; Service Quality; Kano Model; Indifferent

Abstract

Abstract— Utilization of information and communication technology (ICT) in education becomes an absolute thing to do, in order to improve the quality of education, service effectiveness and become a strength for higher education institutions. One application of aspects of ICT in college is academic web. In the Faculty of Engineering University Singaperbangsa Karawang, academic information system is known by the web SIAKAD (Academic Information System) Faculty of Engineering Unsika. Web SIAKAD FT Unsika aims to manage data and facilitate the integration associated with academic information, but on its application may occur mismatch between procedures established in the web with its implementation. Therefore, please note the behavior of SIAKAD web users, also conducted testing of the academic web interface. This is considering that the web SIAKAD FT Unsika is still in development stage. Stages in this study started from a preliminary study of the use of the web SIAKAD and continued with research on the usability of the web SIAKAD. From the results of the study note that there are five dimensions that affect web usability SIAKAD FT Unsika that must be repaired by the web developers, namely Responsiveness (RS), Web design (WD), Assurance (A), Readability (RD), and Navigation (N).Keywords— academic web; usability; university

Abstract

Abstract— The existence of inventory in business activities cannot be avoided. One of the main causes is that products cannot be obtained instantly, but it takes times to get. Lack of good information design and lack of communications led to the delivery of raw materials documents in warehouses often hampered because the system manually logs. It became necessary to design new information systems to facilitate all these activities.Warehousing information system is a system that has been computerized with the database. The research phase begins with an analysis of the current system of warehousing conditions. The goal is to identify the needs of the warehousing system. The next stage is system design. The design phase includes Flowmap, Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship Diagram, and database design using software package xampp and MySQL. The database there are six tables namely, data tables of goods, purchase of goods, delivery of goods, purchasing, suppliers and production tables that have been integrated with all the parts in the company. The result is efficient working time and facilitate the user in input or obtain the required data. Non-functional needs should also be available. The need is minimal computer Dual core with minimal windows operating system 2000 with software package xampp, microsoft acsses, mozila firefox and printer and need to be carried out researcher use technology RFId. Keywords: Warehousing; database; information Systems.

Abstract

Abstract— The need for building materials in recent decades has increased. One of them is the need of "Prescription Batako". This can happen along with the increasing of infrastructure development in society. As a result, the challenge of reaching market demand is also greater. This condition demands each Preservation Batako company to provide maximum product Quality. The purpose of this research is to know what factors affect the results of Prescription Batako products. The method used is a Design Experiment using Factorial Factor Three Factor. The three factors are Worker factor, water composition factor, and with sand-lime composition factor. Data processing is assisted by SPSS software. Influence which is analyzed by three factors are absorption and compressive power. Abstract

Abstract – Unplanned layout and inefficient material flow between work units can lead to increased cost. PT Transplan Indonesia's current material flow path is inefficient with material flow distance 115.5 meters and material handling cost that has not been taken into account. This study aims to find out how big the role of facility layout design in cutting the distance of material transfer and pressing the cost of material handling. The method used in this research is Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) approach, which is comparing the distance of material transfer between initial layout with proposed layout. The results of this study indicate that the distance of the material flow path on the production floor with proposed layout changed to 71,7 meters, with material handling cost per meter reduced from Rp. 1,105,954 to Rp. 712,402 or decrease as much as 35%. Based on the results of the research, the layout of the proposal is considered more effective and efficient because it can reduce the distance of material transfer and reduce the cost of material handling on the packing/shipping floor.Keywords: Layout Design; Material handling cost; Systematic Layout Planning (SLP)
