Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common non-communicable diseases suffered by society. Hypertension is known as the silent killer and the leading cause of death in the world because this disease can cause death without causing any symptoms. Hypertension or high blood pressure, where hypertension has several varied symptoms, such as headaches/pain in the nape of the neck, dizziness, dizziness, the many impacts of hypertension make it require appropriate treatment. Non-pharmacological therapy that can be used to reduce hypertension includes one of the alternative options for treating hypertension. What is currently recommended is cupping therapy. Cupping is considered faster for reducing high blood pressure, especially dry cupping. Dry cupping is a non-pharmacological therapy that is effective in lowering blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. The effect of cupping on blood pressure is to calm the sympathetic nervous system. This flexibility of the sympathetic nervous system stimulates the secretion of enzymes that work like the renin-angiotensin system so that blood pressure decreases. Objective: To explain complementary nursing care for the main problem of high blood pressure in hypertensive patients with the innovative intervention of dry cupping therapy. Results: The results of this study provided dry cupping therapy to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive sufferers using a descriptive research design in the form of a case study that identified a nursing care problem in hypertensive patients. From the nursing action of giving cupping therapy once at the specified time, it was found that the patient's blood pressure decreased significantly. It is recommended that hypertensive patients do dry cupping once a week as an alternative option to lower blood pressure. Cupping is considered faster in reducing high blood pressure and reducing pain in hypertensive sufferers due to high blood pressure

Abstract

An increase in HIV cases in housewives is at risk of increasing the population of children exposed to HIV. Caregivers of children exposed to HIV are at risk of having problems caring for children exposed to HIV. The difficulties experienced by caregivers can be affected by the condition of the child, who may or may not be infected with HIV. This study aims to get an n overview of the emotional experience of caregivers in caring for children underfive who are exposed to HIV. Methods: The research design uses a qualitative method with a phenomenology approach. Data collection was carried out using snowball sampling techniques and obtained from ten participants domiciled in Jakarta and its surroundings. The participants recruited in this study are caregiver of HIV-exposed children. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interview techniques. Data analysis uses thematic analysis using the Colaizzi method. This study obtained ten participants consisting of seven biological mothers, two children’s relatives and one foster parent. There were seven children with HIV-negative and five children with HIV-positive. Two caregivers in this study cared for more than one child exposed to HIV, namely one child with HIV-positive and one child with HIV-negative. The study found three themes: easy versus complex; grace and entrustment; and love and pity. This study concluded the that there are differences in emotional experiences among caregivers in caring for children underfive exposed to HIV influenced by the child’s HIV status. Positive affirmations and emotional support from health professionals adjusted to the values and socio-cultural condition of caregivers will benefit caregivers in providing adequate care for children.

Abstract

Providing additional food that is not targeted and does not comply with consumption rules can cause nutritional problems.Based on a preliminary study at the Jaddih Community Health Center, it was found that 60% of MP-ASI provision was in the deficient category and breastfeeding practice was 50% in the deficient category. This shows the low level of maternal behavior in providing MP-ASI and breastfeeding practices in preventing stunting.. Objective: This study aims to analyze the factors that influence maternal behavior to prevent stunting, namely attitudes, subjective norms, perceived control, intentions towards providing complementary breast milk and breastfeeding practices in children aged 6-12 months according to the Theory Planned Of Behavior Method: This type of researchis an analytical observational with a cross sectional approach. The population was 144 mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months, withA sample of 122, using purposive sampling technique.Independent variables (attitudes, norms, control, intentions, and behavior) and dependent variables (stunting prevention in providing MP-ASI and breastfeeding practices). Results: The research results of multiple linear regression tests on attitude variables with an intention p value of 0.001<(0.05), H0 is accepted, there is no significant relationship. Subjective norm variable with an intention p value of 0.829>(0.05). H0 is accepted, there is no significant relationship. Perception control variable with an intention p value of 0.004<(0.05). H1 is accepted, there is a significant relationship. Attitude variables, subjective norms, perceived control with intention p value 0.001 <(0.05) of the 3 variables above are simultaneously related. The results of the Spearman rank test for the attitude variable with intention obtained a p value of 0.000 <(0.05). H0 was rejected, there is a significant relationship between intention and behavior, the value r: 0.538 has a strong relationship. Conclusions: Mothers with high intentions have good behavior. This is a factor that influences mother's behaviorin complementary feeding and breastfeeding practices. It is hoped that health workers and those who work in service facilities can contribute to reducing the prevalence of stunting by increasing maternal preventive behavior for babies aged 6-12 months.

Abstract

Pain in neonates is a problem that must be taken seriously. In addition to causing physiological disturbances, pain in neonates can have long-term consequences including behavioural changes, hypersensitivity to pain and neurodevelopmental disorders. Nurses have an important role in improving the quality of life of neonates through pain management. This study aims to provide alternatives in the prevention of pain in neonates non-pharmacologically and is expected to apply pain instruments (as a basis for pain assessment) and improve collaboration, education and supervision in the prevention of pain in neonates. The method used in this study was literature review. Searching academic articles through Online Database searches through ClinicalKey for Nursing, Proquest, Science Direct and Pubmed from 2020-2024 with the Prisma approach, then filtering with PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparative, Outcome) obtained 10 suitable articles. Based on several studies, the role of nurses in improving the quality of life of neonates is effective pain management through pain assessment, non-pharmacological interventions (skin to skin contact, breastfeeding, maternal voice, facilitated tucking positioning, massage, olfactive stimulation, sucrose administration, nesting positioning and Yakson touch therapy). In addition, education, supervision and a comprehensive approach and collaboration between teams are needed. Pain management in neonates is important in neonate care, it is recommended that there is a bundle of pain management in neonates which contains a structured plan, and integrated guidelines to prevent and manage pain in neonates.
