Abstract

Thermoelectric is an energy conversion device converting heat energy into electrical energy consisting of p-type and n-type semiconductor materials connected in series packaged using ceramic as its wall. The thermoelectric used in the TEC1-12706 model is assembled with 2 heatsinks with an extrude model. The test is carried out every 30 seconds for 10 minutes using the temperature of the heat produced with the media of water that has been heated, while to cool using free air. The highest voltage and power produced are 1,797 mV and 125.79 mW at the hot side temperature of 85.4 oC and the cold side temperature of 65.6 oC with a time of 510 seconds.

Abstract

Induction motors cause inductive reactive power which results in a decrease in the power factor with high impedance. Another problem is the appearance of initial wear spikes caused by conventional motor starting systems. Conventional control systems lead to inefficient electricity consumption, inflexible production and damage to electric motors because they are always forced to work at maximum speed. Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) Inverters with the technique of controlling voltage and frequency simultaneously (Variable Voltage variable frequency) or also known as volt / hertz control can be a solution to the problem of improving power and power factor quality and at the same time able to control the motor at start or when the motor is running. This volt / hertz inverter is designed to generate a 3 phase voltage as a 3 phase AC motor controller from a 1 phase voltage source with a motor current in the form of a sine wave that is in phase against source voltage as evidence of a power factor improvement. In addition, electric motors can be controlled at speeds from a frequency of 10 Hz to 50 Hz linearly.

Abstract

Building fires are events that cause damage that can occur at any time and cannot be predicted. Fire results in material loss and loss of life. Factors causing fires include electrical short circuit, gas leakage and human negligence. In addition, further treatment is with the help of fire trucks. However, the community is often too late in contacting and providing information about the conditions to the officers, causing the fire to get bigger so that tools are needed to monitor and warn everyone in the room and to the officers to send messages in case of fire. DHT22 sensor module is used to detect temperature and humidity, the temperature read range of the sensor is 0-100 ° C and humidity is 0-100%. The MQ-02 sensor is used to detect the concentration of flammable gases in the air and smoke and the flame sensor is used to detect fire, the system uses a raspberry pi3 controller and a telegram application for monitoring and notification systems.

Abstract

Currently electric vehicles are increasingly being developed, even already being sold in the world market, including in Indonesia, because the price of the vehicle is very expensive and is still very calculated about the fuel of the vehicle itself, the battery, so few people use this electric vehicle. Battery is one component of an electric car that is very important, the battery is used as a source of current for the entire electrical system and as a place to store electrical energy in the event of a charging process. The battery serves to supply electrical current when the starter system so that the engine can be turned on, the lights and other electrical components. Because there are many uses of electrical energy needed by electric cars, further research is carried out regarding the calculation of battery capacity that will be used to manufacture electric cars and how to process chargers. The length of battery charging lead acid 70 Ah 12 V depends on the amount of current that is an energy source to charge the battery, to charge the battery with fast charging method requires a charging current of 40% of battery capacity, and for slow charging method requires a charging current of 10% of capacity battery.

Abstract

Air pollution monitoring is a method used to determine air quality at particular location. The air quality assessment system through internet provides realtime air quality information. The objective of the use of microcontroller and sensors on the system is to measure levels of contaminants in the air. So it is able to provide information about air quality at a point in the area as well as the harmful content in it. In this design, a Bluemix cloud service from IBM was also implemented to provide data access for users anywhere and anytime using a browser or Android- based application.

Abstract

Information systems have a very important role in managing and providing information in an activity or field. One of them is a work order production information system in a company. In managing production work orders at PT. Chandra Nugerah Cipta some still use Ms. Excel, so that in meeting the information needs in particular to obtain WO (work order) information on production, production WO report production and information systems for the entry and exit of goods for production needs have not run optimally, so companies still need a better system. The system development method in this study uses the waterfall method. While the system approach method uses a structured approach consisting of context diagrams, data flow diagrams, table relationships, or ERD (Entity Relationship Diagrams). Implementation and design of the program uses MySQL as a database and VB programming language. For application development. The results of this study are the creation of a work order production information system at PT. Abstract

Metal Casting method High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) is a method of casting by means of liquid metal into molds injection with velocity and pressure using HPDC machine. Molds are made from carbon steel used. Casting method is performed in the manufacture of Prints Disc Adapter and Stand Lamp with base material of Al-Si alloy 7.79% This study uses a pressure of 50 bar, 75 bar and 100 bar. Castings temperature variation is 7000C, 7500C, and 8000C while the mold temperature 2500C, 3000C, and 3500C. Temperature variation cast and mold temperature will affect the characteristics of the object casting product .. highest Hardness obtained at temperatures of 2500C molding, casting temperature of 7500C. with pressure of 75 bar is 79.94 BHN.
