Abstract

The aim of this study is to explain the relationship between the concept of Ikigai and eudaimonic happiness also with the psychological well-being of Emperor Akihito. This research is a descriptive qualitative type. The data were collected using literature study techniques which are sourced from Akihito Tennou Monogatari manga. The results found that the concept of Ikigai in Emperor Akihito, both in the form of characteristics and Ikigai pillars, all reflected Aristotle's eudaimonic happiness because it was in accordance with the virtue of an emperor, which is being a good emperor with the ability to embrace all his people and establish positive relationships with the international world. The concept of Ikigai also reflects six aspects of Ryff's psychological well-being, that is consist of 1) self-acceptance, 2) positive relationships with others, 3) autonomy, 4) environmental mastery. ), 5) purpose in life, and 6) personal growth. The conclusion is that Emperor Akihito was able to achieve eudaimonic happiness as well as psychological well-being by being a good emperor as a form of his Ikigai.

Abstract

Gender inequality has been an issue in Japanese employment. This issue is then being reflected by media in Japan through drama series such as Hope: Kitai Zero no Shinnyu Shain. Hope: Kitai Zero no Shinnyu Shain told about a rookie worker and his comerades whom tried so hard to work in trading company. This research aimed to identify and explain how female workers were represented in Hope: Kitai Zero no Shinnyu Shain drama series through the characterization of Kazuki Akane and Shiraishi Ryoko. This research is qualitative descriptive research. To analyze data, this research used semiotic approach by Roland Barthes. The result showed that female workers in the drama series were represented as 1) ones whose main role gender was in domestic sphere; 2) ones who supported male counterparts; 3) subordinates who had lower position than male counterparts. Therefore, this representation reflected gender inequality that occured between male workers and female workers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Penggunaan Na-Keiyoushi dalam Lagu L’Arc en Ciel Album True”. Tujuanya adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pembentukan dan makna na-keiyoushi yang terdapat pada lirik lagu L’Arc en Ciel dalam album True. Teori yang digunakan yaitu adjektiva ~na (na-keiyoushi), morfologi, dan semantik. Data penelitian berupa penggalan lirik lagu dari 7 lagu yang digunakan sebagai sumber data. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik simak catat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap 17 data ditemukan: 1) Klasifikasi adjektiva ~na berdasarkan bentuk terdiri atas 3 (tiga) klasifikasi yaitu : a) “Adjektiva ~na yang diikuti kopula (shuushikei)” (2 data), b) “Adjektiva ~na yang menerangkan verba (renyoukei)” (2 data), dan 3) “Adjektiva ~na yang menerangkan nomina (rentaikei)” (13 data) ; 2) Klasifikasi adjektiva ~na berdasarkan maknanya, terdiri atas penelitian ini, adalah a) Menyatakan kondisi fisik, b) Menyatakan sifat manusia, c) Menyatakan kondisi suatu tempat, d) Menyatakan perasaan, e) Menyatakan kondisi alam, f) Menyatakan waktu, dan g) Menyatakan kondisi benda. Data yang paling banyak muncul adalah bentuk rentaikei yang bermakna menyatakan perasaan. Berdasarkah hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam lirik lagu adjektiva ~na digunakan untuk menyatakan perasaan.

Abstract

This study discusses the mistake of the jouken hyougen in advanced-level Japanese language learners. Therefore the research aims to find out what mistakes are often experienced by upper-middle Japanese language learners in understanding the use of jouken hyougen to,tara, nara, dan ba. Then this study aims to provide advice or efforts to minimize mistakes using jouken hyougen. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out using test and interview instruments. The form of test questions is a test to translate as many as 5 questions and a test of true or false as many as 5 questions which include jouken hyougen of to, tara, nara, and ba. Then after the test ends, interview the respondent to find out why the respondent is wrong in answering the questions given. The subjects of this study were Japanese middle-level Japanese language learners. They are advanced learners with level 3 to level 1 Japanese language skills (JLPT). Based on the data that has been obtained, it is known that middle-level learners still often experience errors. As in the use of tara to show presuppositions related to time and this condition of presupposition related to time are wrong if used word moshi. The error has a percentage of errors of 86.4% or 32 people from a total of 37 respondents answered incorrectly. In the use of the form ba and to which shows something that is natural, the respondent is considered quite good in understanding the use of the supposition ba and to. From the test data that has been tested only 16.2% or 6 people out of a total of 37 respondents answered incorrectly. Based on the results of interviews with respondents, admitted that they did not know the rules that apply to every form of presupposition of to, tara, nara, and ba. Efforts that can be made to minimize mistakes are as instructors to optimize understanding of spending on the material jouken hyougen, motivates learners to find out for themselves from various sources outside the book obtained during learning, then ask the native speaker if you want to know when the context of jouken hyougen to, tara, nara, and ba is used.

Abstract

This study is entitled with “An Analysis of the Image of Woman Based on Yukiguni Novel by Kawabata Yasunari” which purposes are to describe the characterization and the image of woman reflected on the main character, Komako. This is a qualitative descriptive study. The data are based on one of Kawabata Yasunari works, Yukiguni, 1971, which presented in narration and dialog to reflect the characterization and describe the image of woman from Komako. The data collecting method chosen is close reading technique (repeat reading). To analyse the finding, the method used in this study is narrative analysis. The findings of this study shown that the main woman character, Komako is described as a person who is easily offended, a drunkard, careless, yet neat. Her profession as Geisha displays a neat and beautiful physical image. Komako, either as a Geisha or Japanese woman, has a physic image who is easily offended, disliking liars, feeling guilty and careless. Other than that, she has a famous social image, as being well know by others, having a high sense of empathy, yet a rule breaker in which resulting her relationship between the environment she is living and herself as a person is inharmonious. To sum up, the physical images possessed by Komako is contrary with her psychic image and social.

Abstract

The title of this research is Rendaku Classification in Basic Kanji Books Volume I and Volume II. Rendaku is the change of the non-voice consonants into a voiced consonant. The purpose of this research is to classifying the consonant changes of rendaku in Japanese language. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection technique using the literature study tecniques. The method of analysis in this research is the determinants element technique. There are 38 data in the form of wago containing rendaku changes. Data source taken from Basic Kanji Volume 1 and Volume 2. The results of the analysis in this research found the changes in k→g as many as 10 data, changes in h→b as many as 7 data, changes in s/ts→z as many as 4 data, changes in t→d as many as 4 data. Based on the results of the analysis can be conclude that: 1) rendaku will appears on compound words, 2) rendaku will appear if in the second morpheme there are no other voiced consonant. Rendaku happened to morphemes kawa, kami, kata, kaki, ki, kaeri, kuchi, kuni, kusuri, kuruma, ha, hatake, harai, hiki, hito, hi, hosoi, sakana, sama, tsukuri, tsuyoi, tome, toshi, tomo, tera.

Abstract

Ageru (あ げ る) and Kureru (く れ る) Verbs mean "to give", while Morau (も ら う) verb means "to receive". The reaserch problem is the meaning of Ageru (あ げ る), Kureru (く れ る), Morau (も ら う) verbs that used on depending on who gives and who receives whether the closest person to the speaker (relative) or outside the scope of the speaker (other people). The method used is descriptive literature. The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of the words Ageru, Kureru, Morau, the use of Ageru, Kureru, Morau, and the differences between Ageru, Kureru and Morau. The results of the analysis concluded that: 1. Ageru (あ げ る) which means "to give" where the first person is the speaker, to a scope far from the speaker. 2. Kureru (く れ る) which means "to give" where the second person gives to the first person (speaker), the flow of the object / gift approaches from outsiders to the speaker or relatives of the speaker. 3. Morau (も ら う) which means "to accept" is general in nature anyone can use it as an expression of acceptance of something from someone.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas penokohan dan ambisi dari tokoh Uchiha Itachi dalam anime Naruto Shippuuden karya Mashashi Kishimoto. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penokohan dan ambisi dari tokoh Uchiha Itachi muncul untuk mempertahankan kedamaian desa Konoha sebagai pemicu konflik dan membantu penyelesaian konflik dalam alur cerita anime Naruto Shippuuden melalui teori penokohan dan ambisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, simak catat, kemudian konsep teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah penokohan dari Nurgiyantoro dan ambisi oleh Widarso. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah dua belas episode anime Naruto Shippuuden yang memunculkan atau mendeskripsikan tokoh Uchiha Itachi meskipun tokoh tersebut bukanlah tokoh utama. Hasil dari penelitian ini ialah penggambaran tokoh Uchiha Itachi dan penggambaran ambisi tokoh Uchiha Itachi mempertahankan kedamaian desa Konoha yang dipengaruhi beberapa faktor dan ambisi buruk.

Abstract

This research examines the intrinsic elements of anime Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu, as well as the inner conflicts and defense mechanisms of Sasaki Miyo character in the anime Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu. This research uses qualitative descriptive technique with literary psychology approach. The data collection technique was carried out by using the note-taking technique. The theories that were used in this research are fiction study theory to analyze intrinsic elements and Freud's psychoanalytic theory to analyze the inner conflict and defense mechanisms of Sasaki Miyo. The result of this research is that there are 35 data that show the intrinsic elements of the anime Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu and 8 data that show the inner conflict and defense mechanisms of Sasaki Miyo character in the anime Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that Sasaki Miyo, a middle school girl who was unhappy because her parents had gotten divorced and chose to run away from her house as a cat, experienced inner conflicts and used various defense mechanisms when the inner conflicts occurred. There are 6 defense mechanisms that are used by Miyo, and those are reaction formation, rationalization, reversal, compensation, and undoing. The factors that cause Miyo's unhappiness eventually accumulated so that Miyo often used projection as a defense mechanism, where she continued to project her anger towards her parents.

Abstract

This research analyzes the character of Oda Nobunaga's leadership from his social side. The purpose of writing this essay is to describe habitations, arenas and capital, and the third correlation which deforms the leadership character of Oda Nobunaga. In writing this essay used a book study method. The technical analysis of the data used is a descriptive analysis. The conclusion of this study has been found that (1) the Shinsho Taikōki pictures the form of one's habitation in determining action. Natural changes in agents continue to move around as time goes on. The movement is a result of his experience, upbringing, and environment; (2) there are three arenas in the Shinsho Taikōki, which is the power arena, the economic arena and the intellectual arena. These three arenas stand out from two factors, among them because of the dominant class, and where that agent's capital was obtained; (3) the capital found in the agent of this novel has three, which are social, symbolic and cultural capital. (4) the leadership character of the three social concepts consists of seven characters: Flexibility, ability to determine scale of priorities, analytic capabilities, future orientation, firmness, and exemplary.
