Abstract

The research was conducted at Hangar C Balai Besar Kalibrasi Fasilitas Penerbangan. The research object was the standard time of the phase 1 inspection King Air B 200 series aircraft. The research used the stopwatch time study method with the Westinghouse rating instrument and the addition of allowance factors. Based on the research conducted, it was obtained the highest average data, the value was at the outboard wing section with the average time 1057.5 minutes and the lowest average time was at the operational check section with the average time 30 minutes. Futhermore, the average time data from observations using the Westinghouse rating method was processed then the normal time was found for each section of the process. By observing the adjustment factor (p) of the Westinghouse method, the highest normal time was gained at the outboard wing section, it was 1194.97 minutes and the lowest time at the operational check section was 33.9 minutes. After conducting the observations at hangar C, Balai Besar Kalibrasi Fasilitas Penerbangan (BBKFP) for the phase 1 inspection King Air B200 aircraft, it was obtained the allowance for each section of task card phase 1 inspection. The largest allowance value was at the engine cowling area and cabin section, it was 40.50% while the smallest allowance value was at the rear fuselage and empenage section, it was 22.50%. In order to get the standard time of the phase I inspection, it can be described from the normal time of each section on phase 1 inspection and the addition of the adjustment factor (p) and allowance. In addition, to get the total standard time of phase 1 inspection, it can be obtained by adding the standard time of each section. The total standard time of the inspection phase 1 was 6208.661 minutes or 103.5 hours.

Abstract

The development of technology, especially in learning, became an issue discussed in recent years. The main benefits of using technology include increasing students' interest and participation in the learning process. Learning technology is a tool used in the learning process to achieve learning objectives. This study is a case study that aims to explore the teaching English by using learning technology such as YouTube, Plickers, and Zoom Meeting at the Indonesian Vocational Higher Education. There were one instructor and sixteen cadets involved in the study. The data was taken using purposive sampling techniques, where the subjects of this study were instructor and cadets who used learning applications. The data are collected by interview and observation and analyzed using interactive model data analysis. This study shows that: 1) the use of learning technology makes cadets more active, 2) cadets are not familiar with learning applications, 3) internet connection is unstable, so the instructors have to prepare another activity. The selection of learning applications that suit cadets' needs make teaching and learning activities more variable.

Abstract

Domine Eduard Osok Sorong Airport, which is located close to the community settlement of Sorong, causes the airport to have a higher level of vigilance. Which is the presence of pedestrians, animals, and runway users as road access which makes it an obstruction for air traffic guides and pilots and for airport security. This study covers the scope of combine service where only one unit works and only uses one frequency, namely tower units where ATC is fully responsible for regulating air traffic from ground to fl245 height. This condition is applied to save costs and further streamline the work where traffic in Sorong is not as crowded as before the pandemic. Security conditions at Maneuvering Area of Domine Eduard Osok Airport are still lacking and not standard. Many residents around the airport often cross the runway without getting permission from the patrol and ATC both pedestrians and those using motor vehicles. There is still a lack of efficient patrol guarding of people who want to cross the runway because, the patrol is not at any time in place. Solving the problem by conducting flight safety socialization to residents who live in the area around the airport then invite some community leaders to tour the airport and build a post for patrols around the runway 27 area. Create a crossbar or install Traffic light around the runway 27 area that is often used by residents to cross the runway.

Abstract

Thaha Airport approach clearance given for arrival aircraft does not contain information in the form of Expected Approach Time (EAT) which is the estimated time given by the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) to the arrival aircraft that is delayed to leave the holding fix which then continues the approach to landing. The condition caused the inefficiency of the aircraft maneuver because the pilot did not know the estimated time to approach. The provision of Expected Approach Time (EAT) to aircraft arrival can affect the smoothness and safety of flight traffic. In certain circumstances there is a communication failure of the aircraft arrival, then a pilot will follow the last EAT instructions given. As we know, the events of communication failure no one can know when it will happen and it is inevitable. A Controller can only reduce the risk of conflict from the occurrence of this by providing flight traffic services by providing EAT when the aircraft makes first contact. If given EAT, the pilot gets certainty so that it no longer asks the traffic position in front of him. Pilots can also adjust the speed of the aircraft thus reducing holding if it is required to hold. Therefore, EAT's provision of arrival aircraft affects the smoothness and safety of flight traffic.

Abstract

ILS equipment is one of the landing navigational aids using radio waves as an instrument (non-visual) which is used by pilots in carrying out aircraft approach and landing procedures at an airport. The problem is the Instrument Landing System (ILS) on the Glide Path (GP) equipment on Runway 36. Glide Path has a monitor that functions to monitor the signal to be emitted by the antenna, the signal to be monitored is processed by the detector module, there are 3 detectors including COURSE CSB detector, COURSE SBO detector, and CLEARANCE detector. The signal coming from the antenna will be detected (sampled) by each detector and then forwarded to the monitor module for processing and the results are displayed on the PMDT (Portable Maintenance Data Terminal) monitor. When the value of the monitor reading exceeds the limit of the tolerance value that has been set, a pre-alarm / alarm will occur. The results obtained that the Clearance detector module on the panel box monitoring combining network connected to the monitor reading was damaged, so replacing the detector module and resetting the selectors on the panel box as well as calibrating and normalizing are the problem-solving steps.

Abstract

Voice Communication Control System (VCCS) is a tool designed to make it easier for users to communicate voice by integrating all users (clients) and means of communication in one system and controlled using a control panel. VCCS is a voice switching device used in VHF A / G and Direct Speech communications. The benefit of using VCCS is that when the user makes flight communication it becomes easy because all frequencies and telephones are combined in a VCU (Voice Control Unit) so that the ATC desk/work desk is not filled with communication devices. In addition, to facilitate its use, the VCCS client control panel uses a touch screen system. AirNav Indonesia Manado Branch has a LESS brand VCCS equipment server manufactured by China. VCCS consists of two main parts, namely the server and client. The server is a processing center and control center for switching input and output, while the client or VCU (Voice Control Unit) is the device used by the user in VCCS operations. There are 7 VCUs at AirNav Indonesia Manado which are placed in the Tower room (3 VCU), APP room (3 VCU), and FSS Kompen room (1 VCU).
