Natural Science: Jurnal Penelitian Bidang IPA dan Pendidikan IPA
Jurnal Natural Science ini memuat artikel yang membahas aspek pendidikan Fisika, metode, model pembelajaran IPA Fisika, inovasi-inovasi pembelajaran, perangkat pembelajaran, dan aspek fisika murni. Tim redaksi menerima artikel ilmiah dari hasil penelitian, laporan studikasus, kajian dan tinjauan pustaka. Terbitnya jurnal pendidikan ini menjadikan suatu indikator bahwa prodi Tadris IPA Fisika sangat peduli terhadap perkembangan dan inovasi-inovasi pada bidang sains terutama pendidikan Fisika. Selain itu adanya Jurnal Natural Science menunjukkan bahwa para dosen Tadris IPA Fisika sudah membudayakan meneliti dan mempublikasikan hasil penelitian. Jurnal studi pendidikan fisika juga mengajak pihak lain berpartisipasi dalam penerbitan jurnal baik universitas local maupun tingkat nasional dan bahkan internasional. The purpose of this development is to produce teaching material products in the form of LKPD based on Problem Based Learning on Electromagnetic Wave material for high school class X students who are valid, practical, and effective. The development model of this study is the 4-D development model, define, design, develop, and disseminate. Research is limited to reaching the development stage due to time constraints.From the results of the assessment obtained the value of validity for the eligibility of the content is 87.33. Judging from the suitability of the learning method, the results of validity were obtained 82.28. Viewed in terms of conformity with didactic conditions, the results of 72 validity are obtained with valid categories. Viewed in terms of conformity with the terms of construction (language) obtained the results of validity 88.8 with a very valid category. While in terms of conformity with technical requirements (graphics) the value is 82.66 with a very valid category. From the results of the practicality test results obtained with the practical value of 86.37 by students in a very practical category and by the teacher obtained the results of 88.23 with a very practical category.

Research on the development of Creative Problm Solving (CPS) based assessment essays using 4-D models. The stages in the 4-D model consist of define, design, development and disseminate. The results of the analysis from the define stage state that students' creative thinking abilities at SMAN 7 Padang are still low and the development of creative problem-based assessment essay sheets is needed. The next step to do is the design stage. The design is done to get the foundation and conformity of the development of assessment essays with the needs and characteristics of students. The next stage is the stage of development (development) which includes tests of validity, practicality, and effectiveness testing. The validation stage shows the results that the Essay assessment sheet is valid for testing. After the Essay assessment sheet is declared valid by the validator, the next step is to conduct a trial to find out its practicality and effectiveness. The effectiveness of the use of assessment essay sheets seen during limited trials is carried out. The effectiveness of assessment essays is not only seen from the improvement of students' creative thinking abilities, but also from the competencies of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The results showed that assessment essay sheets based on creative problem solving models were developed effectively to improve students' creative thinking skills (73.08), attitude competence (83.82), and skills competencies (78.93) in learning physics.

Research on multimedia interactive learning has been developed with various kinds of software and forms of instructional media such as material equipped with videos and quizzes. However, researchers developed interactive learning multimedia based on macromedia authorware 7.0 and media forms not only material, videos and quizzes, but also equipped with apperception, al-quran reading and Muslim scientists whose findings are in accordance with the material, namely optical devices and global warming. The purpose of this study is to produce physics-based interactive learning multimedia based on macromedia authorware 7.0 on material for optical devices and global warming class XI SMA / MA that are valid and practical. This research is research and development (research and development) using a 4-D model starting from defining, designing, developing and disseminating. The validity of interactive learning multimedia is measured in terms of the feasibility of content, media and language. Practicality is assessed from the ease of using interactive learning multimedia by educators and students of MAN XI IPA Pesisir Selatan class 2 . The instrument used in the validity and practicality test was a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed by percentage techniques. The results showed that physics-based interactive learning multimedia based on macromedia authorware 7.0 on optical equipment and global warming material in class XI SMA / MA produced a valid and practical and effective interactive learning multimedia physics with very valid criteria (93.26%) and very practical criteria (88.23%).Â

A magnetite (Fe3O4) thin film was grown on the Indium Thin Oxide (ITO) substrate by the Electrodeposition (ED) method, using the Continue Direct Current (CDC). Characterization with VSM is done to obtain information about the magnitudes of magnetic properties as a result of changes in the external magnetic field depicted in the hysteresis curve. VSM characterization results showed that the electrodepositioned magnetite thin films were paramagnetic, both for electrolyte solutions without ethylene glycol and electrolyte solutions that were dropped by ethylene glycol. Based on the comparison of the hysterisis pattern between samples that were characterized without surfactants, or those added with 10% surfactant to their solvents, it was said that the addition of ethylene glycol to base solution, affected the response of the material to the given external magnetic field. Samples with surfactants 10% have a greater slope than samples without surfactants, in other words samples without surfactants (by heating) are faster magnetized compared to the addition of surfactants.

This research is motivated by the use of cognitive assessment instruments on daily and mid-semester tests on learning class X physics used in the form of questions that tend to test more aspects of memory, understanding and application. While questions that test aspects of analysis, evaluation and creation are not widely available. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in the material of the human reproductive system. The study was conducted in class IX A in SMP N 1 Tanjung Jabung Timur Middle School in the 2018/2019 learning year. This study is a Classroom Action Resesarch adapted from the Kemis and Tagar PTK models, which consists of 4 stages, namely: 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation and 4) reflection. The results of this study indicate an increase significant in the first cycle and second cycle for the assessment of learning outcomes and the ability of students to make mind mapping on the material of the human reproductive system. Based on the results of the research obtained it can be concluded that mind mapping learning strategies can improve learning outcomes and develop psychometric skills of students to create and read mind mapping.

This research is motivated by the need for learning media that can be used anytime and anywhere in increasing students' independence, so design learning media in the form of mobile learning-based learning media on the android platform. This study aims to (1) to develop mobile learning-based physics learning media on the android platform using the App Inventor application, (2) to produce physics learning media based on mobile learning on the android platform using the App Inventor application to improve student learning independence which is valid, practical and effective. This research uses the research and development (R & D) type of research and development, with a 4-D model starting from defining, designing, developing and disseminate stages. Media learning based on mobile learning on the android platform tested its validity by 1 linguist, 2 material experts, 2 media experts, tested practicality by 2 physics educators and 20 students and tested the effectiveness of 39 students. The instrument used was a questionnaire using a Likert Scale. The results showed that (1) the physics learning media based on mobile learning on the android platform was very valid according to 5 validators with an average value of 92.12%. (2) physics learning media based on mobile learning on the android platform is very practical in terms of content, presentation, benefits, and opportunities for the use of instructional media according to 2 physics educators with an average value of 81.25% while according to 20 students of class XI with the acquisition of scores on average 85.25% and (3) physics learning media based on mobile learning on the android platform are effectively used according to 39 students of class XI with an average value of 83.01%. Based on the results of data acquisition shows that the physics learning media based on mobile learning on the android platform can improve the learning independence of students with very valid criteria, very practical and very effective to use in XI class physics learning.

The background of this research is that the media often used by educators is only visual, so abstract material cannot be concretized. Educators explain the material only with media in the form of whiteboards, markers, props and occasionally use power points. The learning process like this causes students to feel bored to take part in learning. The purpose of this study is to produce physics learning media using Corel Video Studio X 7 on the valid, practical and effective kinetic theory of gas material. This research is research and development (R & D). The design of the development of physics learning media using Corel Video Studio Pro X 7 on the material of Gas Kinetic Theory is using the 4D development model including: 1) define phase; 2) planning phase; and 3) develop and last stage disseminate. The instruments used in this study were validity questionnaire, practical questionnaire, and effectiveness questionnaire. The media validity test is given to 5 expert validators assessed from the material / content, media / construction, and language aspects. Practicality tests are given to educators and students, while the effectiveness test is given to students. The result of the research is that physics learning media has been produced using the valid, practical and effective Corel Video Studio Pro X 7 application.

An analysis of resistance values has been carried out on a single cable keypad configuration using a voltage divider system. The single cable keypad configuration is used to minimize the use of a microcontroller input output line. Keypads can be arranged using a matrix and without a matrix. For without matrix the number of arduino input output paths used is as many as the number of buttons on the keypad while using the matrix the number of input output lines used is fewer, namely the number of rows and columns that make up the matrix keypad. The 3x4 matrix keypad will require 7 microcontroller input output lines. On a one-wire matrix keypad a voltage divider system is used by adjusting the resistance value of a resistor such that the voltage divider output will give a different value for each keypress keypad. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze what resistance value is needed in the matrix keypad configuration so that it is expected that it can be used for a larger matrix size if later in the making of learning media it requires a very large number of buttons.

The purpose of this study is to design learning media in the form of websites without networks to help students learn independently in material momentum and impulses that are valid, practical and effective. Research is R & D research. This stage of development and development uses the Borg and Gall model which consists of 10 steps. The results showed that the website without the network developed had met the criteria for learning media that were valid, practical and effective. The results of the expert validation show that websites without networks are very valid from the aspects of content, construction and language. The results of the trial to see the practicality of showing a website without a network can be used in learning and is easy to use by teachers and students. The effectiveness of a website without a network that is seen from learning independence shows that students are very helpful for independent learning at home, because it is easy to use, the material is easy to understand and fits the needs of students.
