Abstract

It has been argued that a competitive and efficient financial sector is a prerequisite for economic growth and development. The objective of this study therefore was to determine the influence of bank competition on economic growth in Rwanda for the period 2006 - 2015.The study used Error Correction Model after conducting Unit Root Test(ADF) and Cointegration Test(Johansen) so that to check the degree of adjustment in the short run. The results revealed that Credit to GDP is highly significant and this implied that there is a need to set the policy influencing credit distribution in order to influence economic growth. In addition disequilibrium found in the short run is corrected quarterly at 70.32%.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the urgency of regional regulation bill of serdang bedagai regency on trading business. Various problems regulated in this regulation include: The quality that is owned between modern retail and traditional retail is not comparable in terms of capital, management to human resources; The increasing number of modern retailers has made it difficult for traditional retailers to develop because they have to deal directly with modern retailers with better quality; There are no strict sanctions against retailers who violate the relevant provisions; Unilateral determination of the types, sizes and prices of trading terms to retail; and The incomplete application of regulations and criminal provisions whose content is not yet optimal. Currently, the gap between modern trading businesses and traditional trading businesses lies in the distribution chain that is digitally integrated in modern trading businesses, creating synergies among its users. Meanwhile, traditional trading business entrepreneurs are usually cash based and have limited integration with suppliers or banks to manage purchases, supplies and payments. Based on this condition, it is very necessary to form a regulation to create a balanced competition between traditional trading businesses and modern trading businesses, regulations that are able to bring justice to all entrepreneurs, not only provide protection for traditional trading businesses and forget about modern trading businesses that also have a very positive impact on the existence of the regional and national economy or vice versa. Abstract

Youth is one of the important human resources to increase their capacity. The number developed sufficiently. It shows that the nation's change is occurred very significant. In the disaster management, the youth certainly has a very important role to maintain the regional resilience. So that young people must be prepared to overcome threats and challenges related disasters that cannot be predicted. This study aims to determine how the role of youth in overcoming problems related Sinabung Volcano Eruption in Tiganderket Sub-District, Karo District, North Sumatra. This research uses qualitative methods. In this study, there are three informants interviewed. They are; 1) The Secretary of BPBD (Regional Disaster Management Agency, Karo District, 2) Youth Leaders, and 3) The local community who were presented in the form of scientific analysis. The results of this study indicate that: The Effectiveness of Youth's Role in overcoming Sinabung Volcano Eruption, Tiganderket Sub-district, Karo District, North Sumatra has not been able to tackle effectively. It can be measured from the level of Youth involvement to play a role in overcoming the disaster. It can look from the three phases which are Pre -disasters, During-disasters, and Post-disasters. The youth in Tiganderket Sub-district Only involved when the disaster happened.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the level of teacher job satisfaction based on external factors, namely organizational policy factors, availability of promotion opportunities, and direct supervisor supervision. Participants in this study were 216 Muhammadiyah high school teachers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, consisting of 79 men and 137 women. They become participants in this research voluntarily and are determined randomly. The data collection method was carried out by the teachers filling out the survey instruments deliberately. The data that has collected, then we process it using descriptive quantitative data processing techniques using SPSS 25. The results show that 1). The level of teacher job satisfaction from the aspect of organizational policy has a dominant distribution in the very high category (79.6%), in the high category was 16.7%, in the medium category was 3.2%, while those in the low category were as much as 0.5% ; 2) The level of teacher job satisfaction regarding supervision was included in the very high category (89.8%), in the high category was 18.3%, in the medium category was 0.9%, and in the low category were as much as 0.9%; 3) The level of teacher satisfaction on aspects of promotion opportunity has a dominant distribution in the very high category (81%), in the high category was 11.1%, in the medium category was 7.4%, and in the low category were as much us 0.5%. These results indicate that the level of job satisfaction of teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta Indonesia is at a very high level of satisfaction. In the future, further research is needed regarding the level of teacher job satisfaction from various other factors, both internal and external, to obtain a more comprehensive picture.

Abstract

The education that integrates nationalistic and religious values expected to transform the student to be good citizens and God’ obedient servants. This research aims to explore two purposes: first, what is the purpose based on the integration of nationalistic and religious in learning in Integrated Islamic School; second, how is the teacher’s strategy in Integrated Islamic School in integrating nationalistic and religious in learning conducted. This research is qualitative research with case study approach. The data was taken from the interview of seven teachers in Integrated Islamic School of Yogyakarta Region from primary school to secondary school and documentation. The data collected was analyzed by interactively inductive data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion withdrawal. The finding of this research showed that; first, the integration of nationalistic and religious values was conducted based on the ideal Indonesian human concept that is the obedient human of Indonesian towards the state in which the main indicator is nationalism also the obedient human of Indonesian towards God in which the main indicator is religious soul. Second, the integration of nationalistic and religious values conducted through three main strategies, namely; integration in curriculum, co-curriculum, and extraculliculer; internalization of nationalistic and religious values; and habitual activity of nationalistic and religious values in the school culture. The finding of this research can be used as reference for teachers in implementing the strategy in integrating nationalistic and religious values to students.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the role and participation of the community in the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) and the factors supporting and inhibiting implementation. The research was conducted using observation sheet guides and interview guidelines supported by a review of school administration documents, through a qualitative approach to the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the implementation of SBM was quite successful; this was indicated by a significant change in schools, namely the increase in school quality and increased public interest in Muhammadiyah Mutihan Elementary School. In the implementation of SBM, the school is more flexible because it can manage schools independently, making programs based on the school's needs and abilities. Public participation is quite good; the community always supports and helps school activities and controls the school. Supporting factors in implementing SBM are the community, alumni, foundations, and sponsors. While the inhibiting factor is limited land, schools cannot provide sports fields for students and the limited ability to accompany teachers.

Abstract

Management of guidance and counseling services means cooperation to determine, implement, and achieve the goals of guidance and counseling services by implementing planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and leadership and controlling. . Even though the guidance and counseling service program in schools was aimed at helping students to be able to develop optimally, the fact was that there are still many students who are afraid to go to the GC room just to consult with their GC teacher. It was because there is a negative stigma about GC teachers, namely for students.GC teachers were identical to judges at school because they tend to work to solve the problem of student behavior deviations in schools. This study used a qualitative method. The results showed that the process of guidance and counseling services in private schools in urban areas, the participants carried out several stages of activities as a unit of guidance and counseling service activities. These stages were as follows: (1) orientation stage, (2) planning stage. (3) the implementation stage, (4) the evaluation stage.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the concept of national insight from an Islamic perspective. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by collecting data through observation, documentation, and literature review. Based on the research results, the concept of national insight has been regulated and explained in Islamic teachings. National insight is a person's view of a national entity based on certain territorial boundaries that affect his attitude towards love for his homeland. As a religion of Rahmat Lil Alamin, Islam clearly states about human life formed in a diverse civilization, both in culture, ethnicity, religion, and Nation. Nationality is a reality of human civilization recognized in Islamic teachings as part of Allah's will in creating humans. The results of the research conclude: 1) The reality of the creation of human beings with nationalities and tribes is a necessity which is mentioned in the Koran, 2) The concept of nationality does not contradict Islamic teachings, 2) The Medina Constitution is a concept of a state carried out by the Prophet and Muslims who are in harmony with national values.

Abstract

The aim of this article to research government efforts in the implementation of bureaucracy reform as stipulated in the law No. 25 of 2009 about public services related to the service to its residents with quality service standards, fast, easy, affordable and be measured. It is in accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 3 of 2003 about national policy on e- Government development. In its development, e-Government is still far from expectations, government institutions both in the center and the region do not yet consider the important e-Government. E-Government is considered a project and a one of the sub-districts in Medan that has been conducting bureaucracy reform by providing public services based on electronic (e-kecamatan) in managing Administration and Increase Community participation. This study uses qualitative research methods with the type of descriptive research. The results showed the success of public services electronic-based public services in Kecamatan Medan Barat had a prerequisite, namely (1) the support from the District Leadership (Camat), (2) availability of Financial Resources and Human Resources (3) Transparency In the public service process with application system. In addition, e-kecamatan based momentarily trend. Kecamatan Medan barat where the research will be done services facilitate the residents to obtain information and manage various purposes in the form of administrative services products.

Abstract

In recent years, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has attained increased significance in both business and in the associated academic literature. The very term, CSR, clearly indicates the focus is on social responsibility as a company’s obligation to be accountable to all its stakeholders in all its operations and activities. Nowadays the concept of empowerment has become the development paradigm. The Indonesian government is expected to coordinate and be responsible for a wide range of community development activities that allow the entire community to participate actively, while the company contributes to the community empowerment process as the implementation of social responsibility undertaken through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This study assessed the CSR activities undertaken by a mining company (PT Vale Indonesia). Over the past 50 years, PT Vale Indonesia (PTVI) has been operating under the Contract of Work (CoW) agreement with the Indonesia government to open-pit nickel mines and processing plant facilities near Sorowako, Indonesia. This study provided empirical evidence on PTVI's presence benefits the surrounding communities by implementing PTVI’s CSR program called Integrated Community Development Program (ICDP). The research purpose is to explore the concept of CSR practice that is viewed and applied by PTVI to create a win-win situation that contributes to community empowerment. The findings of this case study contribute significantly to give more profound knowledge of the role of ICDP to community empowerment and to extant an understanding of the company dealing with the challenges of CSR activities for community empowerment.
