Abstract

Conventional home security systems often lack the ability to monitor and respond in real-time, which makes them vulnerable to security breaches and delayed interventions. This research is an Internet of Things (IoT) based home security system that uses hard programming methods. This system consists of hardware that uses Arduino Uno, ESP32CAM and PIR sensor modules to detect movement, an ESP32CAM camera that takes pictures, and an Arduino Uno board that processes and transmits data. ESP32CAM takes images from the PIR sensor and sends them to the cloud server when it detects motion. The smartphone application then allows users to find out about potential disruptions in real-time through photo notifications. The system's ability to provide immediate visual evidence of suspicious activity, allowing for a rapid and informed response, determines the system's effectiveness. This system is also cheap and easy to use, so a wide range of users can use it. The use of easily accessible components and open-source software reduces costs and simplifies setup, enabling widespread adoption of this updated security product

Abstract

Paddy is a food crop that produces rice which is widely consumed for basic needs and has become a source of income for the Indonesian people. Often the need for rice continues to increase and cannot only rely on domestic production, so it is necessary to optimize paddy producing areas. Grouping rice-producing areas needs to be done to identify production potentials and areas that require improvement. This research aims to group paddy and rice production based on districts/cities in East Java Province. The method used is Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC) with the best algorithm, namely average linkage based on the highest cophenetic correlation of 0.8478. The research results showed 4 clusters: cluster 1 (high) with 4 districts, cluster 2 (low) with 18 districts, cluster 3 (medium) with 7 districts, and cluster 4 (very low) with 9 cities. The silhouette coefficient test is 0.6347, close to 1, thus indicating good clustering. These results can be used as a reference for the government and society in optimizing paddy and rice production to maintain the country's food security

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the way people carry out their daily activities. Beauty salons are now not only the domain of women but also in demand by men so that customer satisfaction is increasingly prioritized. To improve service and operational efficiency, an Android-based booking application was designed that allows customers to make reservations without having to come directly to the salon. The use of this application aims to minimize time and facilitate the management of transactions and customer data by the salon. This booking application was built using a prototype method that allows iterative application development based on user feedback. This method was chosen to ensure that the application can better meet user needs and be adjusted based on input received during the development process. The result of this research is a booking application that makes it easy for users to order services and products online anytime and anywhere, and helps Ellma Salon manage customer and order data more efficiently. This application is expected to be an effective solution to the problems faced by Ellma Salon, increase customer satisfaction, and expand the range of salon services

Abstract

Low multi-purpose vehicles have become a popular choice in the automotive market due to their combination of ample space and improved fuel efficiency. In the context of increasing environmental awareness and ever-increasing fuel costs, this study aims to compare the fuel efficiency of various low multi-purpose vehicles using the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method. The Copras method, as a multi-criteria decision analysis tool, is used to evaluate vehicle alternatives based on a number of predefined criteria. In this study, the main criteria considered include engine efficiency, aerodynamics, vehicle weight, and fuel technology used. The identification of these criteria is important as fuel efficiency is influenced by various complex technical factors. Relevant data was collected for the low multi-purpose vehicles to be evaluated. Once the data was collected, a Copras analysis was conducted to determine the relative ranking of each vehicle based on its fuel efficiency. This method allowed the researcher to identify vehicles that stood out in terms of fuel efficiency. The results of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for both consumers and vehicle manufacturers. Consumers can use this information to make smarter decisions when choosing a vehicle that suits their needs, taking into account the important aspect of fuel efficiency. On the other hand, manufacturers can use these findings to develop more fuel-efficient vehicles, as well as to strengthen their position in an increasingly competitive market. In addition, this study also has significant implications in an environmental context. By choosing more fuel-efficient vehicles, consumers can contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and reduce other negative impacts on the environment. As such, this research not only provides economic benefits but also supports efforts to maintain environmental sustainability

Abstract

ArsyaNet, a local internet service provider, strives to deliver fast and reliable internet access to its customers. This study aims to implement a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) for customer mapping and network development prioritization using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method at ArsyaNet. Leaflet is employed to map the distribution of ArsyaNet customers within the RT/RW network in the Pringgasela District. The main objective of this research is to accurately and efficiently map the distribution of internet customers to support optimal network development. By integrating AHP into the GIS, customer preferences and other relevant factors such as access speed, service quality, and infrastructure needs in specific areas will be considered in determining the priority locations for network development. The AHP method allows for the grouping of customers based on their preferences and determining locations by considering weights on each relevant aspect. Integrating Leaflet into the GIS enables accurate and interactive mapping results using a lighter map compared to the Google Maps API. This research is conducted to enhance the quality of internet services provided by ArsyaNet by better understanding the needs and preferences of customers in selecting internet service providers and their customer distribution.

Abstract

The digitalization of survey processes is crucial in today's era, and this research aims to design the software requirements specification for the E-Survey Information System for the Research and Training Agency of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The methodology employed follows the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2018 standard in developing the System Requirements Specification (SRS) document. This comprehensive SRS outlines the purpose, scope, product overview, user characteristics, limitations, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, database design, interface, and use case diagrams. The functional requirements encompass survey management, survey question management, user management, role management, and accessing surveys. Non-functional requirements address performance and user-friendliness aspects. The result is a detailed SRS document that serves as a guideline for the development team in building an integrated and modern E-Survey application. This application will streamline and digitize the survey activities conducted by the Research and Training Agency, enabling efficient data collection, processing, and analysis. By following industry standards, the developed system aims to enhance productivity, centralize survey operations, and support informed decision-making processes related to strengthening religious moderation and harmony among religious communities in Indonesia

Abstract

Film represents a combination of narrative and cinematographic aspects in an audio-visual form. Films also provide an engaging visual, auditory, and emotional experience. The film industry in Indonesia has shown significant growth. In 2015, cinema audiences numbered 16.2 million, increasing to 51.2 million in 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic caused a drastic decline in the number of viewers, with only 4.5 million in 2021. However, the industry quickly recovered, reaching 54.07 million viewers in 2022 and 55 million in 2023, and is projected to reach 60 million in 2024. With the increasing availability of films and streaming platforms, finding movies that match user preferences often becomes a challenge. This study proposes a film recommendation system using the Content-Based Filtering method and the Vector Space Model to help users more easily find movies that match their preferences. Content-Based Filtering recommends films based on content similarity, while the Vector Space Model measures content similarity using metrics such as cosine similarity or euclidean distance. Based on experiments using 20 sample films, the results show that the designed system can provide accurate and precise movie recommendations based on keywords provided by users. The film "Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion" has the highest similarity score of 0.3018, followed by "Nana," "Menjelang Magrib," "Jailangkung: Sandekala," and "Qorin," with similarity scores of 0.0865, 0.0138, 0.0136, and 0.0125, respectively

Abstract

In the current digital era, the demand for effective and efficient security systems is increasing. This research develops a room security system using ESP32CAM and motion sensors based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The system is designed to detect movement within a room and send real-time notifications to users via a mobile application. The ESP32CAM functions as a surveillance camera that captures images when the motion sensor detects activity. Data from the motion sensor and images from the ESP32CAM are sent to a cloud server for processing and storage. System testing shows that this solution can provide a quick response to movement, send notifications within seconds, and securely store data in the cloud. Thus, this system can significantly enhance room security and provide peace of mind to its users

Abstract

Children with autism spectrum disorder often face challenges in developing motor skills and social interaction abilities. This research aimed to develop an interactive motion capture-based therapy game that could assist autistic children in practicing their motor skills through an enjoyable play experience. The Kalman Filter optimization method was employed to enhance the accuracy and quality of motion detection in the motion capture process. The development of this therapy game involved consultations with therapists, psychologists, and relevant experts in designing game activities tailored to the needs of autistic children. Motion capture technology was utilized to capture the children's body movements in real-time, while the Kalman Filter algorithm was implemented to filter and optimize the acquired motion data. The game interface was designed to be simple, featuring attractive visual objects, bright colors, and familiar sounds. The testing results demonstrated that the application of the Kalman Filter method could increase motion detection accuracy up to 90%, ensuring a more responsive and immersive play experience for the children. This therapy game proved effective in improving motor skills, body coordination, as well as motivation and engagement of autistic children in the therapy process. This research contributes to the development of an enjoyable and effective interactive therapy solution to assist autistic children in developing essential skills for daily life

Abstract

The increasing need for transportation, especially motorcycles, has led to many illegal methods and criminal actions by individuals committing motorcycle theft. Fundamentally, security and safety are the primary concerns motorcycle users must pay attention to on the road. Many vehicle users neglect safety while riding, such as inappropriate driving. Some actions endanger themselves and other drivers, like using a cell phone while riding, causing the rider to lose focus. Therefore, this research offers a solution as a microcontroller-based security and safety system aimed at minimizing motorcycle theft and improving riding safety. The solution from this research is to produce a microcontroller-based technology utilizing RFID for security, touch sensors, and push buttons for safety when the rider does not follow proper riding procedures. The Research & Development method is used in this research, with five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this study are a prototype of a security and safety system based on an Arduino Uno microcontroller as the control center. Regarding security, the vehicle starts only with registered access in the control center, which is then placed on the RF reader installed on the car. From the test results, using an e-KTP as the vehicle access medium successfully started the motorcycle with a 0% error rate from 10 trials. Regarding rider safety, using a touch sensor to test the number of passengers was successful, with an 80% success rate from 10 trials. The push button succeeded with a 100% success rate from 10 trials when users did not position their hands on both motorcycle handles (bars) and successfully triggered the alarm when the rider was not riding correctly.
