Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the implementation, challenges, and opportunities of using cyberspace-based learning media in the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subject at Madrasah Aliyah in Medan. The research method used was qualitative, with data collected through in-depth interviews with 12 SKI teachers from 12 different Madrasah Aliyah. The results of the study indicate that, although conventional learning media, such as textbooks and whiteboards, are still widely used, there has been a significant increase in the utilization of cyberspace media, including PowerPoint, videos, and interactive applications like Quizizz and Wordwall. The main challenges faced by teachers include limited technological knowledge, resistance to change, time constraints, as well as inadequate technological infrastructure and internet access. Nevertheless, the integration of cyberspace media offers great opportunities to improve the quality of learning, develop 21st-century and Industrial Revolution 5.0 skills, and prepare students to face the digital era. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for a comprehensive strategy, such as teacher training and professional development, enhanced institutional support in providing technological infrastructure, and collaboration among teachers, schools, the government, and other stakeholders to optimize the integration of cyberspace media in SKI learning at Madrasah Aliyah

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the collaborative learning model in improving the ability to write biographical texts among tenth-grade students at MA NW Dasan Lian. The background of this research stems from the students’ low interest and poor quality in writing biographical texts, which are often unstructured and lack creativity. The collaborative learning model was chosen because it is believed to enhance active student engagement through teamwork, discussion, and mutual feedback during the learning process. This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test writing assignments. The results show a significant improvement in students’ biographical writing after the implementation of the collaborative learning model, as evidenced by the difference between pre-test and post-test scores analyzed using a t-test. Therefore, the collaborative learning model is proven effective in enhancing students’ biographical writing skills. The study recommends the use of collaborative learning as an alternative strategy in teaching writing at the secondary education level

Abstract

The cognitive and intelligence development represents two crucial aspects in child developmental psychology that play an important role in shaping thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to the environment. This study aims to identify, examine, and synthesize the main findings from national and international scientific literature published between 2021 and 2025 related to the cognitive and intelligence development in school-aged children. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which involved screening 120 articles from the Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases. This resulted in 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria for further analysis. The analysis results indicate that the development of children's cognition and intelligence is affected by three main dimensions: direct instructional interventions, external environmental factors, and theory-based pedagogical approaches. Holistic and integrative learning approaches have been shown to have a significant effect on optimizing children's intellectual capacity. The conclusion of this review highlights the importance of synergy among education, health, and the social environment in designing effective and sustainable learning strategies to support children's cognitive development. Further research using longitudinal approaches is recommended to assess the long-term effects of various implemented interventions

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the efforts to develop students' religious character through the habituation of Qur’anic literacy at SMK Adi Sumarmo Colomadu (Adi Sumarmo Colomadu Vocational High School). This research used a qualitative approach in the form of field research. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, data display, and verification). The results of the study show that the habituation of Qur’anic literacy is carried out regularly every morning by reading one rukuk before learning begins, to instill religious values through the practice of reading and understanding the Qur’an. This has a positive impact, manifesting in an increased habit of reading the Qur’an, improved quality of recitation, emotional calmness among students, and the internalization of religious values in daily life, thereby fostering a religious character in students. The supporting factors of this habituation include synergy between the principal, teachers, and students, as well as the availability of supporting facilities such as the mushaf and speakers in each classroom. The inhibiting factors include variations in Qur’anic reading ability among students and time constraints due to a dense academic schedule

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the exemplary values of Prophet Muhammad SAW in the moral development of santri through the learning of Sīrah Nabawiyyah, which is integrated into the education system at the Merapi Merbabu Community Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School). This Islamic boarding school adopts Sīrah Nabawiyyah as the foundation for character education based on the “Panca Jiwa” concept, which comprises scholarship, da'wah, volunteerism, community engagement, and entrepreneurship. This study used a qualitative phenomenological approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the exemplary values of Prophet Muhammad SAW, such as trustworthiness (amanah), honesty, patience, responsibility, and intelligence, are systematically internalized through the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) approach. Santri are guided through the habituation of moral behavior, involvement in da'wah within the community, and direct modeling from ustadz and musyrif. The success of the program is supported by a curriculum based on Sīrah texts and a synergistic relationship with the surrounding community. Challenges encountered include inconsistency in the moral conduct of santri outside the boarding school environment and the absence of a standardized administrative curriculum. This study provides a significant contribution to the development of a contextual and applicable model of Islamic character education based on exemplary conduct
