Abstract

Bukit Peramun, located in Air Selumar Village, Belitung Regency, has been managed by the Arsel Community since 2006. In 2017, it was established as the Bukit Peramun Digital Forest ecotourism destination. This research aims to analyze the impact of information technology transformation at Bukit Peramun Digital Forest on economic activities, particularly for the local community. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach through observation and interviews with purposively selected informants. In 2017, the implemented information technology was QR Codes on trees. Then, from 2020 to 2022, the technology was enhanced by integrating virtual reality and augmented reality, including features like Tour 360, the Tree Recognition application, and an online reservation system through peramun.com. The results show that the information technology transformation at Bukit Peramun Digital Forest improved management efficiency and tourist experiences. Although there was a decline in revenue, foreign tourist visits showed an increase. The technological transformation also helped control visitor numbers, which positively impacted environmental conservation, with more efficient service quality and management.

Abstract

This article addresses the paradigmatic tension between capitalism and socialism in the quest for economic and social justice, with a specific focus on critiquing financial capitalism from an Islamic perspective. Using a literature review methodology, this study explores the theoretical foundations of these paradigms and highlights Islam’s distinct approach. The findings reveal that Islam critiques the financial theories underpinning capitalism, particularly its emphasis on the unrestricted pursuit of profit, accumulation of capital, and reliance on mechanisms like interest (riba) and speculative activities (gharar) that exacerbate economic inequality and social injustice. Islam does not align with the profit-driven individualism of capitalism or the state-centric control of socialism. Instead, it presents a transformative paradigm rooted in Islamic theology, advocating principles such as zakāt to ensure equitable wealth distribution, the prohibition of riba to prevent exploitative financial practices, and the prioritization of shared welfare over material accumulation. This paradigm, referred to as Transformative Islam, critiques the structural inequities of financial capitalism while emphasizing the moral imperative for justice, communal well-being, and sustainable economic systems. By integrating theological principles with practical methodologies, Transformative Islam offers a comprehensive and just alternative to exploitative financial systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of poverty in seven districts and cities in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This study uses primary and secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and other relevant sources. The analysis was conducted descriptively to identify factors that influence poverty, such as the age of the poor, marriage, education level, number of dependents, type of employment, income, living conditions, government assistance and health. The results show that poverty in Bangka Belitung is more dominant in rural areas than urban areas. Low education levels and limited access to health services are the main causes of poverty in this area. In addition, the community's dependence on the fluctuating mining sector also affects the economic stability of households. This study also found significant income inequality between low- and highincome groups. Based on these findings, efforts to improve access to education and health, as well as economic sector diversification to reduce unemployment are recommended. More inclusive policies are needed to sustainably address poverty in the region.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of global uncertainty and macroeconomic factors on income inequality in Indonesia from 1991 to 2023, employing the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) and Error Correction Model (ECM) methodologies. The findings reveal that global uncertainty significantly reduces income inequality in the long term, while key macroeconomic variables like unemployment and real income have pronounced effects on inequality in both the short and long term. Unemployment is positively associated with income inequality, exacerbating the disparity as job losses primarily affect the lower-income segments. Real income increases, on the other hand, paradoxically heighten inequality due to the uneven distribution of wealth across socio-economic groups. Inflation, however, was found to have no significant effect on income inequality. The study highlights the role of economic policy uncertainty, which disproportionately affects the wealthier segments during economic downturns, leading to a relative decline in inequality. However, the persistent concentration of wealth among the top 10% underscores the need for policy interventions, including progressive taxation and social assistance programs. Policymakers are urged to address unemployment and ensure equitable income growth to mitigate inequality effectively. The research underscores the necessity of robust strategies to navigate global uncertainties and stabilize macroeconomic conditions to achieve inclusive growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

The halal industry in Indonesia faces significant challenges in establishing a sustainable competitive advantage (SCA) in an increasingly competitive global market. One key factor that could support this advantage is the adoption of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices and the promotion of green knowledge sharing. This study investigates the relationship between GHRM practices, green knowledge sharing, and the achievement of SCA within the Indonesian halal industry. Employing a systematic literature review (SLR) methodology, the study utilizes the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory to analyze relevant literature. The search was conducted using Scopus and Google Scholar databases, focusing on GHRM, knowledge sharing, and competitive advantage. The findings indicate that GHRM positively influences SCA, with green knowledge sharing acting as both a mediator and moderator that strengthens this effect. Additionally, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), driven by green leadership, further contributes to the achievement of SCA. This research offers theoretical insights into the application of RBV within the halal industry and underscores the significance of green knowledge sharing and OCB in fostering sustainable competitive advantage. The practical implication of these findings highlights the importance of implementing effective GHRM practices and cultivating a green knowledge-sharing culture to enhance sustainability in the halal sector. The study's limitation lies in its reliance on existing literature, without empirical analysis in the field.

Abstract

Political marketing does not mean how to sell political parties or candidate pairs that are being promoted to voters, but something that focuses on how political parties or candidate pairs can create work programs related to current problems. The sustainability of regional development within five years requires testing of political marketing of the decision to elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Pangkalpinang. The population of Pangkalpinang City, which has the right to vote and is also registered on the 2024 Permanent Voters List, amounting to 161,413 people, is the focus of this study. A sample of 399 was determined using the probability sampling method with a cluster sampling technique carried out in seven sub-districts in Pangkalpinang City. Data were collected using a quantitative questionnaire as a multiple linear regression analysis tool. The independent variable is the marketing mix associated with political marketing capacity, including political products, promotions, prices, and venues. In contrast, the decision to choose is a dependent variable. Regression analysis reveals a positive correlation between political products, political promotion, political price, and political place on voter decisions. The coefficient value of political products 0.402 indicates an influence of 40.2%, political promotion 0.255 indicates an influence of 25.5%, political price 0.163 indicates an influence of 16.3%, and political place 0.468 indicates an influence of 46.8% respectively on the decision-making process. The most significant regression analysis output is 0.468 on the shift of political place of political products, political promotion, and political price. This result shows that voters want to meet directly with voters to strengthen their opinions.

Abstract

Rapid changes in the workplace and increasing job demands often affect employee well-being. One of the most common negative effects is burnout, usually characterized by mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion due to excessive workload. This study aims to determine the effect of workload and job demand on burnout, with mental health as a mediating variable, at PT Anna Mandiri Jaya. A quantitative approach was used with explanatory method and SEM-PLS analysis. Data was collected from 35 employees using an online questionnaire. From the results, we can see that workload and job demand have no significant direct impact on mental health. However, mental health has a significant effect on burnout, which shows its main role as a mediating variable. These results highlight the importance of maintaining employees' mental health to reduce the risk of burnout and recommend interventions such as stress management training, counseling, and a supportive work environment. This information can help companies in their efforts to improve employee well-being and productivity.
