Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of plastic plate media in the subject matter of discus throwing students of class VI Negeri 84 Kendari. This study uses two rounds of action research. Each cycle consists of two stages: design, activity, observation, and reflection. The target of this research is the students of class VI Negeri 84 Kendari, amounting to 35 students. The research data were obtained in the form of the results of the practice test for throwing discs. The results of the analysis showed that students were able to throw discs in the first cycle for male students (85%) and female students (70%) and in the second cycle for male students (97.5%) and female students (75%). This study using plastic plate media can have a positive effect on the ability to throw discs for students of class VI Negeri 84 Kendari and this learning media can be used as an alternative to discus throwing subject matter.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student activity and learning outcomes through the application of the Demonstration Method learning model. This type of research is the PTK, in which each cycle consists of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed that there was an increase in student activity and learning outcomes in each cycle. This is shown in pre-cycle conditions, the percentage of student learning outcomes is only around 36.84%, cycle I (73.68%), and cycle II has reached a percentage of learning completeness of around 92.11% and it can be stated that in cycles I and II, completeness of student learning outcomes has reached indicators of success (73%). Then the results of the increase in student learning activeness also appear to have increased, marked by the results obtained at the pre-cycle stage only reached 50%, cycle I (76.92%), and in the second cycle stage had reached an active value of around 90.38% so that it could be stated that learning activeness has met the success indicator (70%) in cycles I and II. Therefore, the use of the Learning Model using the Demonstration Method can improve student activity and learning outcomes in the Fiqh Subject for the material of the Plural, Qashar, Plural Qashar, and prayer in an Emergency in Class VII-3 MTsN 2 Kendari.

Abstract

This study addresses students' problems related to their low ability to speak English in class IX-A of SMPN 17 Kep. Masaloka Raya. This study uses the Free Story method with picture card media. The design of this research is classroom action research which is carried out for two cycles. The results showed that in the first cycle, there were 18 students (66.67%) whose speaking ability scores were equal to or above the KKM, and there were nine students (33.33%) whose scores were below the KKM. Because these results do not meet the success criteria that have been set, namely, at least 85% of students have a score equal to or above the KKM, the research continues in the next cycle by first revising some learning steps that are considered not too maximal. The research results in Cycle II showed that there were 26 students (96.30%) whose scores were equal to or above the KKM, and there was one student (3.70%) whose scores were still below the KKM. With the achievement of the success targets that have been set, it can be concluded that the use of the Free Story method with picture cards media succeeded in improving the speaking ability of Class IX A students at SMPN 17 Kp. Masaloka Raya.

Abstract

Based on initial observations in class X majoring in Mechanical, it appears that student's English speaking skills have not reached the expected level of mastery of learning. This condition is caused by the teaching strategy used by the teacher. The purpose of this study is to explain whether the Actional Functional Model (AFM) can improve the English speaking skills of class X students majoring in mechanical engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Batam. This research is a Classroom Action Research with two cycles carried out in class X of the Mechanical Engineering Department of SMK Negeri 1 Batam. At the end of each cycle, a speaking skill test was conducted. Quantitative data were collected through speaking skills tests, and qualitative data were taken from observations made by an observer. Then the data were analyzed based on quantitative and qualitative techniques. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that (1) Actional Functional Model (AFM) can improve students' learning activities in speaking English, (2) AFM method can improve students' English speaking skills. Based on these findings, the Actional Functional Model (AFM) is recommended to be applied in teaching English. For further researchers, it is recommended to use similar research in other situations to see the effect of the Actional Functional Model (AFM) method and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

As leaders in the class, teachers are always expected to have tricks to design knowledge that can attract students' interest as members of their learning. So it is not surprising that subject teachers must be more creative in compiling teaching materials, determining suitable learning models, and attracting students' attention in-class lessons. This needs to be done because the appropriate teaching materials and methods will affect students' processes and learning outcomes in the classroom. One of the learning models that can be used in teaching Islamic Religious Education is the TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) type cooperative model. This learning model emphasizes students play an active role in learning, both in groups and independently. Classroom Action Research was conducted on students of the Class XI Clothing Boutique Department of Vocational High School Raha for the 2019/2020 academic year with subject matter focused on the procedures for carrying out sermons, tabligh, and da'wah in the community with basic competencies in applying the provisions of sermons, tabligans, and da'wah. In society, according to Islamic law. The results showed that students' learning outcomes in the Boutique Clothing Department Class XI Clothing IV at Vocational High School Raha through the cooperative learning model of TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) type increased. The percentage of students' completeness classically in the pre-cycle is 66.93%, the first cycle is 70.16%, and the second cycle is 79.83%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the program implemented by the Education Council in advancing education in Kendari City in January - June 2020. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, with data collection techniques used, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique this study uses is the Miles & Huberman analysis technique; namely, the analysis consists of three streams of activities that co-occur: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The study results show that the Education Council's January-June 2020 program to advance education includes: (a) assistance in the implementation of education; and (b) strengthening the institutional relationship of the education board with interested parties.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of the principal's leadership on the performance of elementary school teachers in the Tiworo Islands sub-district. The sample in this study was 67 respondents. This study uses a quantitative approach. Principal leadership and teacher performance data were obtained using a questionnaire. The results of the inferential analysis concluded that the value of sig. = 0.000 < = 0.05, meaning that the principal's leadership has a positive effect on the performance of elementary school teachers in the Tiworo Islands sub-district

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the learning achievement of Social Sciences in grade VI C. State Elementary School 01 Poasia through an inquiry approach. This research is classified as Classroom Action Research (CAR) with an inquiry approach in improving the learning outcomes of Class VI students in Social Sciences. C. State Elementary School 01 Poasia. To answer the problems of this research, several factors will be examined, namely as follows: Student Factors Understanding and mastery of the learning materials presented or studied. The abilities and skills of students in applying learning models/approaches in their studies. Teacher Factors This factor relates to learning tools and other facilities such as student books and student activity sheets, according to student competencies. Data analysis in this study was carried out during and after data collection. Data analysis was carried out by comparing the results of observations, interviews, field notes with indicators at the reflection stage and research cycle. That learning achievement in the field of Social Sciences in class VI C Elementary School 01 Poasia can be improved by applying an inquiry learning approach.

Abstract

The process and the result of English study, especially the mastery of vocabulary among the first grader's students of science class year 2020-2021, are still unsatisfied yet (low). The standard vocabulary mastery can also cause the soft skill in other language aspects, namely reading, listening, writing, and speaking.This action research aims to know the effect of using interactive media using Adobe Flash implemented indirect instruction conducted virtually on Zoom, the material taught was vocabulary. It is used Kemmis and Taggart's model containing two cycles. The technique of gathering data using the test is implemented on both two processes. The method of analyzing data using comparative analysis to gain each score average each cycle. The result shows that the scoring average in cycle 2 is higher, 88,83 (83%), than in cycle 1, 75,9 (52%).The conclusion of this action research shows that the use of interactive multimedia using Adobe Flas implemented indirect instructions can increase the vocabulary mastery among first grader students of the science department at SMAN 12 Berau in the academic year 2020-2021

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the use of media images and chain messages as an alternative strategy for listening learning in elementary schools. The learning design consists of three cycles: (a) The first cycle: matching the picture with the sound; (b) The second cycle: marking the images according to the storyline; and (c) The third cycle: chain messages. The results showed that one of the efforts to improve the quality of listening learning processes and outcomes in elementary schools was using picture media and chain messages. It is based on the indication that after this technique is applied in learning, student achievement increases as seen from adequate trials, higher learning quality than conventional techniques, and very positive student responses.
